Next Destiny Expansion Reveal Today, $30, PS4/XB1 only, Sep. 20th

I figured they would save it for Sony's conference. Maybe they didn't consider it big enough?

Going by the leak we had & some early musings, its going to be smaller than TTK, but bigger than all of the year 1 dlc. Could just be a case of its not a big enough content drop to take up stage time at a conference.

Come through Luke Smith~~~~

Will we see this announcement as a disappointment if a new raid is not teased? In all honestly, I could settle for Year Two versions of VoG and Crota's End with end game loot drops and a challenge mode so long as the rest of the expansion content is fulfilling.

The Rise of Iron rumours included a Fallen Raid that "has a twist".

Yeah, and after the whiff that the sparrow league racing announcement was at PSX, maybe they figure it's not worth E3 coverage. Holding out hope tho.

Interested to see what they've got coming, because even though TTK was great, Y2 has mostly been a bore since like December.

TTK was amazing value, what are you talking about?

The way people were raving about the expansion made me believe there would be a lot more meaningful things to spend my time on. The story missions and raid were only a few hours long in total, and the rest of the content was just adding other ways to keep the endless grind going. It wasn't worth $40 to me anyway.

Any specifics known? I've been out of the Destiny loop for a while now and must have missed it.

Fallen or Cabal raid hype!! I wonder if they'll release those exotics they talked about since the beginning of TTK. Hopefully they add more modes for PvP. Even though I get annoyed with it, it's still my favorite multiplayer game this gen.

Sounds like you weren't on board for the concept of Destiny altogether, so TTK wouldn't have changed that. There is a lot of content there.

If you didn't feel TTK was worth it then you must've been disgusted with Dark Below and House of Wolves.

It's been confirmed to be smaller than TTK.

Citation?

edit: all we know, based on Jason's article on Kotaku (which is generally based on good info) is that its larger than the year 1 dlcs.

As he points out, though, its really hard to quantify content in Destiny because not all content is equal (ex. one quest might be significantly meatier than another)

Whatever it is wasn't worth saving for E3. hype decreasing.

And Bungie will probably do 300k+ next week for the reveal. It beats being a footnote at the Sony conference. Now, they have the information out there for fans instead of walking out at Sony's conference and announcing it there with limited details.

Clearly the whole idea of Destiny doesn't work for you then. Story, strikes, raids, extra content made available if it was a daily mission. Forgetting PVP, there is plenty of content. Just move on dude.

I hope that's the case.

I only started the game pretty recently (January or February) but I love it. Bought TTK after completing the main game, I just started trying the first raid with friends but it's not easy at all (we don't want to check guides so we try to discover as much as possible by ourselves).

I'll probably buy this, maybe digitally with the main game so I don't have to keep using the disc and put it back in the LE (yup I scored a cheap new LE more than a year after release).

In all fairness, I thought TTK was solid, but DB and HoW were half-assed garbage. If this turns out to be closer to the latter, interest dropping quickly, especially considering the surplus of amazing games out this year.
