I remember when someone gave me shit for saying that the last day of the season (Kobe's 60 pt farewell/Warriors winning 73) would be the highlight of the entire season. Aside from games 6 and 7 between OKC/GSW this entire playoffs have been the worst of all time. Even a close game in the Finals somehow finds a way to be awful.

Yeah, this has been the worst playoffs in a long time. Not that many competitive series at all. Part of it is the thinning out of the West. There have been so many incredible first round series in the West the last 4-5 year.

The only series that stick out to me as being both well played and competitive are OKC-GS, GS-Portland (maybe), and Celtics-Hawks.

I think it's just one of those things though. The playoffs have been incredible in recent years. Awesome series and generally good Finals.

The Cavs have basically given away 38 totally uncontested shots to perhaps the 2 best shooters in NBA history. If that's not bad defense I don't know what is.

Moving screens, great athletes like Curry and Thompson, perimeter shooters are going to get looks. The alternative line is that they light it up all season and all of the sudden can't cause reasons. People couldn't lock down Larry Bird and he wasn't really an athlete.

Also, that stat based on being 4 feet away, that isn't some huge space. It's separation, but contestested to some extent.
