I view the Scorpio announcement as just that. An announcement. It was ok, but you have the slim launching in a couple of months and then you announce a new console that's 18 months out?

Forza Horizon 3 was the best "demo/announcement" at MS's show for me, and I don't really care for open world racing games AT ALL.

I really expected new Scalebound and Gears footage to wow, but it's... underwhelming. There's nothing anywhere close to the sense of grandeur that was shown with last year's Horizon demo or Uncharted 4 set-piece.

I think some of you guys are missing something here.
With Scorpio, MS is ditching the Xbox One because games that taking advantage of the Scorpio wont work on the One.
That means that MS is splitting the install base and starting a new one with the Scorpio.

Did I ever say 100% exclusive? I just know the game is coming to W10 and Xbox One published by MS so it is at least a timed exclusive. I don't know the deal between MS and Capcom here obviously; that's why I left the option open that it also could arrive on other platforms so people don't get mad at me if that happens.

I've read somewhere it's planned but won't be shown at E3, can't remember who said this though. But my bets are more on a RE7 reveal and no DMC5 (like you said, I doubt they'll unveil 2 big games like that)

A year from now, I don't think you'll be feeling the same way.

Honestly, if I had gone into that conference completely blind to the leaks, I'd be feeling the same way. Other than Scorpio, it was the most predictable MS conference in years.

If you go back to predictions thread, I'm sure someone posted almost exactly what would be shown. Heck everyone always starts out with "Gears, Halo, Forza"...

MS went waaaay too safe, and emulating Sony reveal without a console debut and this far in advance felt rushed IMO. Remeber the entire February event was about PS4. The way games will be played in the future, the tech and philosophy behind the device. MS really just used e3 to say "we're making a crazy powerful box that devs want a you want! Be happy!"

I hope Sony looks at Mark Cerny and that initial reveal and realize how much they won over people just from seemingly genuine and well thought out presentations.
