Didn't the Lakers traded turn out to be better?

The proposed (and briefly agreed-upon deal): Paul to the Lakers; Pau Gasol to the Houston Rockets; and Lamar Odom, Kevin Martin, Goran Dragic, Luis Scola and a first-round draft pick (from Houston via New York) to the Hornets.

Vs

The Clippers will send guard Eric Gordon, center Chris Kaman, forward Al-Farouq Aminu and Minnesota's unprotected 2012 first-round pick to the Hornets for Paul. The Clippers will also receive two future second-round picks.

The Lakers deal would of put the Hornets/Pelicans into late lottery hell. I still think it was a terrible deal.

The Clippers deal wasn't great, but Aminu is a solid player the Pels gave up on too early and Eric Gordon is broken from injuries and it is on Demps for doubling down and maxing him in spite of his injuries, poor attitude and immaturity.

Dell Demps has been a short sighted, short term thinking GM since he came on board and has continued to fail upwards in the new organization and the culmination of incompetence is the largest reason for why I am more and more certain this team will be in Seattle within the next 10 years.

Not necessarily referring to his weight, but muscle build. He looks more muscular right now than he was before, maybe my eyes are fooling me lol. But he seems to have hit the weight room more and his shots look more pointed. I believe he did enter "skinny" in 2014 season though, you are correct that he weighs less right now than when in Miami.

He only looks like that because he has more visible muscle definition after dropping the bulk he accumulated in Miami to improve his post game. That said, fluctuations in weight in either direction, whether bulking or slimming, can absolutely throw off a player's jump shot as it affects arm strength, leg strength, weight distribution, and vertical lift, not to mention just the general "feel" of a player's stance and shooting motion.

Listening to the other side of sports talk radio is pretty funny. Right now I'm listening to KNBR 680 in Oakland? Pretty funny. They are focused on LeBron allegedly lying about watching the Godfather. All I've heard them talk about in 50 minutes now. My god, I thought CLE sports radio was bad.

i had to delete the sports radio pre-set off my radio, i kept tuning into it in the mornings and it was rotting my brain

Lmao. That's hilarious. I'm guessing it was the Murph & Mac show.

It's one of those sports shows that aren't really about sports past surface level stuff. It's not very good.

I just want this series to be over because the 2 days between games is excruciating lol

if there's a game 7 tomorrow and saturday are gonna suck

KNBR has been terrible for a long time now. Especially the Radnich show.

KGMZ isn't great, but it's a much better alternative in comparison.

Local sports radio is stupid but I believe that LeBron has never seen the Godfather

I might be late on this

Zach Lowe on his Lowe Post podcast

"The Cavs wanted him suspended for two games. I can tell you that. They wanted it to be a flagrant 2 and to have him suspended for Game 5 and Game 6."

a grand smh

I dont know if i can watch tonight, growing up in the Cleveland area and being brought up a big sports fan, seeing Cleveland get so close and never winning sucks. If they do pull it out tonight, Sunday night is going to be intense

He can play 42 minutes, he rested enough for g5.

This new schedule sucks. Bring back a game every 2 days after this.

I haven't seen anyone talk about this really. I wonder how he'll play tonight after the 6 day rest.
And I agree with the schedule criticism it just seems way too long between games.

Anyone goin to Oracle tonight for the Viewing Party? Went to the WCF game 6 and that place was going crazy. I expect Roaracle to be rockin tonight.

Just caught up on Godfathergate. lol

It is hard sometimes to come up with a favorite quote when someone puts you on the spot like that. Especially for someone in the public eye who has to be careful of what he says -- using certain lines from something like The Godfather trilogy could easily offend people today. Imagine Bron being like, "let me tell you something, my kraut-mick friend!"

Having said that, I bet he's seen some Godfather but isn't really all that up on it.

I am! I was going to watch from a bar in the city but figured that would be a nightmare with all the crowds. Can't wait! And I'm going to wear my Pacers hat because I'm not actually a Warriors fan (I just really like this team...).

I've seen all 3 movies, the first one more than once, and I couldn't quote you one line verbatim. Something something on the day of my daughter's wedding.

Make him an offer he can't refuse..

Honestly going on a 50 minute rant about Lebron seeing or not seeing The Godfather is ridiculous. It was quirky when it first surfaced but now it's just dumb. I think this is just a byproduct of the extra time between games. People are just running out of shit to talk about between Cavs and Warriors.

Murph & Mac and Gary & Larry are terrible. The former is just homerism circle jerk while bizarrely Gary seems to hate Bay Area sports. But he's from SoCal, so... The best time slot is Tommy Tolbert. Dude knows his stuff as a former player and gives objective analysis. The downside is when he shares airtime with Ray Ratto. That guy is so irritating.

Edit: Murph & Mac are much better for baseball though. That's really Murph's sport. It's obvious they're not really into basketball.

"I will extend an offer he can't turn down"

But the whole thing is stupid, no matter what LeBron said he'd get shit for it.

:lol

Translation. Cavs could not beat the Warriors on the court so they wanted to just be handed the trophy because.

What a bunch of bitches.

I was impartial before the series and was looking forward to a great finals but the Warriors are clearly the better team and I want them to embarrass the Cavs and send Cleveland into another 10 years of depression now (meaning an even deeper level of depression).

Dat Godfather legacy, the true GOAT. Featured in a billion dollar 2016 movie (Zootopia), and lives on through a billionaire basketball player in the Finals. Great men are not born great, they grow great . . .

Just about every local sports show is terrible. As a 49er fan living in the Bay Area, I don't understand why anyone would want to listen to people talk about one team all the time. It's been years since I bothered flipped on the radio to hear their thoughts on my lousy team. It's just a bunch of dudes with extremely limited knowledge searching for anything to fill the four-hour time slot.

Do people forget that quickly that they just recently beat the Warriors by 30 with Draymond Green not suspended?

Of course not. The NBA is much simpler sometimes than people give it credit for. If you're team has the two best scorers in the series, you can win any game. That's it. That's the formula. That's why I'm terrified about tonight's game.

Yeah it was Murph and Mac. I just wanted to hear some local fans call in and talk shit.

Our locals aren't much better. As someone else said anyway, after 3 days of waiting there isn't much relevant to say. Until people start busting out Zach Lowe and unidentified sources!

Yeah that's some bullshit. A flag-2 for a swipe LeBron wasn't even aware of until it was shown to him after the game. Says they want a rematch fully healthy against GSW but then hope GSW have to play without their most important player in the matchup. But I guess a chip with an * is better than no chip at all. The controversy would fade with time, but championships are forever.

I don't think there's a team in the league that wouldn't try and get Draymond suspended for another game.
That is true but let the scrubs do that work.

It is arbitrary and possibly dumb of me to think this way, but that shit is below a superstar like Lebron. Thats what guys like Varejao are in the league for. To cheat and do shady shit because they can't get it done on the court.

That's why Robert Horry slammed Steve Nash into the sideboards. Can you imagine if Duncan did that?

So should there be an asterisk on golden states last year due to the cavs injuries ?

The non-nutshot got as much attention as it did because it was LeBron. If it were some bench scrub, chances are Green isn't suspended for game 5.

There is. Have you not paid attention to any media since the moment GSW won the championship? No one gave them credit and they've been playing with a chip on their shoulders the entire season. This year is supposed to be their chance to prove they weren't just lucky playing injured teams last year.

Nah I don't get caught up in any of that media bs . Warriors beat the cavs with or without their players. Great teams plan for injuries and have players waiting on the bench.

Yeah, lobbying for that and Lebron snitching is lame, but whatever. The only reason they could lobby was because of all the flagrant points so that's on Draymond to be smarter. Really my anger with all that has faded to fear of losing after game 5.
