As far as I know, this is the first review of Furi (it's put together by a fellow GAF member). I am really looking forward to it, it's out in about two days on Steam. Everything about it just sounds excellent and Carpenter Brut amongst others is composing music for it. Day one.

Had no idea this was coming out this month. Looking at that review, seems like it's as interesting a game as when I first saw a video of it.

Don't buy Doom, it's almost Quakecon.

Well it probably won't get a discount bigger anyway.

So excited for QuakeCon. After the disappointment of the whole class-based gameplay and the involvement of Saber Interactive id has said nothing but good things about Quake Champions.

It will be good.

It has to be good.

What's the expectation for Quakecon? Quake Champions seems like a good bet, but what are the odds on the new Wolfenstein? Decent, I'd guess? And did The Evil Within 2 turn out to just be a rumor? Or is that something that's actually happening?

And to change gears, what are some guesses as to what wbacon is teasing from Capcom? Looking at this, the only semi-recent stuff I see is Sengoku Basara and Monster related titles. Other than those, I'd guess it be a legacy/retro compilation. All fun options.

I just want Bethesda stuff cheaper than it is now, namely Quake and Doom.

I made a new rule this sale to only buy what I'll play and to beat a game before I bought another one. That's why I only bought and kept Axiom Verge and Momodora IV. I'm hoping that when I beat those I can just get Doom 2016 and go nuts.

Also I want Okami or God Hand.

If it's Okami I would explode into pure energy.

I'm trying to play GTA San Andreas with a dualshock 4 controller (on PC via steam) but I can't seem to figure out how to change the camera from being controlled by the mouse pad on the controller.

Anyone got any ideas how to change it or can point me in the right direction to solve this?

Should I buy Dark Souls 2 Scholar (played the Scholar on PS3, never on PC) or save the money towards Dark Souls 3 when it gets a 40/50% discount?

Bought Tennis Elbow. Asked for a refund 5 minutes later. Holy shit that game is bad. With the same 13€ I then went playing tennis with a friend. Way better.

Damn, thanks a lot for that!

I was really thinking it was a planet playing with a "Y" shaped wooden stick and I was like: "Steam, WTF?"...

I hadn't even noticed Jupiter in there when I scrolled by, so pointing it out here was a good reminder of the whole thing :)

speaking of exploding into pure energy, I'd kill for this...

I'm still annoyed that Capcom sold the end of the game as $7 DLC, though. That's just a fucked up thing to do.

thinking about buying the GTA shark cards.. i tried earning in game currency by completing the heists but its been a fucking pain in the ass. i have had people leave after starting and some are constantly killed. it took me a day and a half to finish the first heist.

Don't succumb! Just find some people online who are good to play with and you'll be blowing through heists in no time.

Just started Euro Truck Simulator 2 which I bought many moons ago.

How do you guys play it?

I've played a bit of Euro Truck 1 and its a bit different this time.

Firstly, do you guys play with speed limits and traffic fines? Should I turn them off and just make my deliveries as fast as possible. Obviously there's no wrong way to play it- just wondering what you guys do.

Secondly - should I take a loan to buy a truck? Or should I keep taking quick jobs until I can purchase with my own money? What's faster? Taking quick jobs - I need to take at least 20 jobs before I even make around 100k, which is the cheapest truck I can buy.

Thirdly - I just got the Scandinavia DLC, how do I access that area - seems like I haven't been offered any jobs going there. I believe I picked Germany as my starting country. Do I have to wait until I have my own truck to get jobs outside Germany?

Finally - what mods do you play with?

See this is why you can't listen to podcasts that cover interesting games. Thought I was done with the sale, but listening to Daft Souls and they were discussing this indie god game called Crest.

It sounded pretty intriguing; basically as a diety, you create commandments for your people to follow. But you know how it is with free will and man trying to interpret the will of a god. Over time, your followers may begin to twist and misinterpret your messages and edict, and you can (try to) guide them back to the proper desired path.

I should mention I loved Skyrim but, hated Oblivion. I'm also a big fan of Daggerfall and Morrowind. Just wanted to see if the mods would salvage Oblivion.

There are quite a few mods that, when used together, help "fix" Oblivion. The largest complaint is the leveling system, so I assume that's what you didn't like about it.

One of my favorites is Oblivion XP, which adds additional ways for you to earn experience points through quests, and need a certain amount of XP to level up (rather than the default skill progression). In addition to this you can install mods that fix creature and loot scaling.

Pretty much every aspect of the game can be modified, which is great because the game was a bit rough when it first released. There are also some super impressive graphics mods I've got installed that have even managed to drop the game below 60fps on my R9 390X.
