It might not have even been a matter of the money having to be equal. In terms of pride and respect, he probably would have taken less money to play elsewhere, but felt Miami owed him more money/years.

The Son has come home.

Wade is getting up there in age and with past injuries i'm not surprised Heat don't want to give him the money he wants. Kinda messed up with everything he did for the heat to win.
Some players equate money with respect.

Would you say he lessened his own value in the eyes of the heat organization with those pay cuts?

The bull are the most mismatched teams I've ever seen.

Do they have any three points shooters?

The Bulls front office does know that they started allowing zone defense in the early 2000s right? You need three point shooting unlike the 90s.

their frontcourt shoots better than their backcourt.

wow shut up. Life long Heat fan here and we have some of the best fans in the league. Look it up.

I'm very disappointed right now.

Exactly. It sucks losing him, but overpaying due to emotion only makes like the shitty Lakers. We'll be competitive sooner without having to pay for creaky knees. Again, it sucks on an emotional level, but probably better for the long term.

Mirotic, McDermott, Portis and Valentine can all shoot threes.
Their bench is going to be chucking them all over the place.
Specifically, I think McDermott was top 10 in threepoint shooting percentage.

Not this season, unless someone is out.

I don't have any grand delusions in all seriousness, I see this guy as a good supporting cast mate one day, maybe a veteran starter eventually but he's not going to be some giant star. He's got the fundamentals but his defense is suspect and his athletic ability is merely average within the NBA if that.

He got a bit better on D where he wasn't as noticeable a liability.
What I liked is he was throwing down dunks.
There is often a time where so and so is a better athlete than people think but he started doing this after meniscus surgery.
Doug is a wild and crazy guy.

No problem with Wade doing what he has to do. He gave his whole career to the Heat and he helped bring 3 championships here. Will still be weird seeing him in a Bulls jersey lol

I agree. He can score, but he probably doesn't have the physical ability to excel in the pros. I think he can be a solid rotation player though.
