The Autumn Wind
But seriously choosing between Hillary or Trump is "choosing between the lesser of two evils" in the same way that choosing between drinking a glass of milk that is a few days past the listed expiration date or taking a shotgun and blowing your fucking brains out is choosing between the lesser of two bad options
I liken it to when you like your steak medium-rare, and you have to choose between a steak cooked medium-well, or some dog shit that was scraped off the ground.

between the two of them nothing not one thing made any type of sense

We'll have the best sense. Unbelivable sense. Trump thinks that Trump has a lot more sense than you think he does, believe me.

Trump does know he can't say anything about the Iraq anymore?

He literally said she was wrong just because it was her

Trump crucified himself on that Iraq war answer. Clinton is going to hammer the nails in while the press raises the cross.

Tbf, the iraq war answer can be easily turned around. If hills tries to hit him with the double standard, he can throw it to her face that pence is running for VP, not P, and mock her for failing to pick up the distinction.

fortunately, attack ads dont care aaaand the interview was an embarrassment of riches.
What is Trump going to do when Pence has to do debates and interviews on his own?

.

Watched this over at the in-laws and it was the best half-hour of comedy we've seen in some time. Oh wait, 40% of this country are going to vote for him. Depression sets in.

holy shit

so when Pence says 'it's really humbling' about a minute in, Trump does the most fake smile, looks away, and raises his eyes in the opposite direction of Pence. Trump doesn't just dislike Pence, he despises him.

Some on GAF would have you believe they would choose the dog shit :p

"If Hillary Rodham Clinton served that steak and Trump served the dog shit, I swear on the stars and stripes of the United States of AMERICA flag that I will eat that dog shit. Disease and possible death be damned, I am a PATRIOT! Make America Great Again™! ALL Lives Matter!"

How likely is it that, if Trump wins (purely hypothetical), America will slowly begin to tear itself apart?

Sincere question.

The USA already is slowly tearing itself apart. Its not really that slow anymore, Trump is making it faster by bringing all the racists who used to try and hide what they were.

The Halo 3 announce trailer popped to mind for some reason when watching this:

Why are people criticizing Trump's ISIS plan? He said that he will have "unbelievable intelligence." You guys probably can't comprehend how good this intelligence is. I mean the man himself says it's unbelievable. Humanity has not evolved to the point where we can comprehend the scope of this intelligence.

Trump is a great salesman. I mean he knows how to sell shit to clueless people. Make it sound great, don't give away any real information but just harp on how great it is. Then screw them over. Trump knows his audience well.

I got something for you. This is great. The biggest ever. You'll love it. Nobody has ever done nor will do something so great. It comes from me personally. Vote for me.

Votes Trump.

Ok here is your piece of shit I made.

Fucking amazing.

Once again, looking at the content of this interview, the substantive answers given here on policy, I have to ask:

Where is the humanity and empathy in those who are supporting this ticket? I'm dead serious.

What an awkward interview. Trump tried to answer questions directed at Pence.
So it's like a parent coming into a job interview for a child and offering to answer questions directed to the child?

Damn.

I watched this with an expression of horror on my face. It was more unsettling than anything I've watched in a while. How Pence was mildly chuckling at the insanity on display next to him, how Trump looked ready to burst when he was not the center of attention, how two people voting for the same thing are somehow completely different....

But yes, the worst part was the ISIS "war" part. That was mindblowing.

Can someone explain the calculus involved in Trump choosing Pence as his VP? Both from his and his campaign committee's point of view? I read a few articles that claims he wanted him but then tried to replace him at the last minute but couldn't.

When I look back at McCain's choice to go with Sarah Palin, I see someone who brought nothing to the table and was only chosen in order to mitigate the notion that the GOP platform was antiwoman, as well as to appeal to religious conservatives.

With Pence, the only thing of considerable note that he was involved in was his passing of the religious freedom restoration act in Indiana. So this guy is another religious nut. Didn't the GOP do an autopsy after 2012?

Yeah he brings nothing but the general wisdom is do no harm with a VP pick. Problem being they never appeared to vet the guy. He holds many contradictory views and votes to trumps views. He also has no chemistry with Pence. These are both indicative of a poorly thought out and rushed decision which fits with reports of trump thursday night asking how he could get out of picking pence.

Its a stupid, wasted, potentially harmful pick filled with a field of stupid, potentially harmful picks. Pence seems like the least publicly despised of trumps possible choices.

They did an autopsy after 2012, they just threw it in the trash a day later.

These debate formats in the fall better not allow either candidate to do what these two ass clowns did in this interview. They didn't answer or detail a single policy, only asked to state if they supported ideas or policy and even then gave half assed replies

The idea is that Trump isn't religious, but Pence is a religious lunatic so he can better keep Cruz's people.

But it's a dumb idea because super religious white people have already united completely behind Trump due to hatred of Hillary.

And it's a bad pick because Pence and Trump have almost nothing in common and if Trump is elected, the GOP will try to impeach Trump to make Pence president.

There isn't any. My father who became a Trump supporter trued to argue that America is going to be deteriorate due to its over focus on "human rights" and how Indonesia treats drug distributors (i.e. firing squad) is what America should follow.

I think he was chosen because he could give "politically correct" answers. Unlike the picks Trump wanted that likely would've gelled better with his campaign, they picked someone who wouldn't make outrageous statements all over the news.

I can't stand the idea that "Trump tells it like is" anymore

He is the living embodiment of the used car salesman from hell

I'd say he's selling smoke but his policies are less substantive than that. Literally no specifics, statements about achieving things that no other president has before him without any specifics, waffling back and forth on several topics he spoke adamantly about.

Like damn it people, his veil of bullshit is microns thick. Please see through it.

And through all of that policy nothingness he still somehow iterates that he thinks the US government should be doing waterboarding and worse, ban (or pseudo-ban) certain countries immigrants if not certain religions, and claims voting for Iraq is unforgivable but also forgivable

Ugh terrible interview but party lines were drawn a long time for most people so he's still going to get so much of the vote. Disgusting stain on the US

My Step-father is a real racist piece of shit sometimes. He goes on and on about Mexicans taking jobs and committing crimes etc, we live in Phoenix. He talks about nuking the Middle East off the map and means it.

But even HE is turned off by Trump at this point and would not vote for him. Says he's just in it to put a notch on his belt and doesn't care about anybody else. That makes me seriously scared of people still supporting that man.

As long as he doesn't actually win, this will be my favorite election season ever. I got to support the candidate I believed in, even though he didn't make the cut, and now I get the entertainment that is Donald J. Trump.

Oh boy the debates are going to be so fantastic.
