I lost my 6s 64 one month ago. While waiting for the 7 I bought a normal 6 16gb. Which I will sell for the 7 whatever the price is. Or maybe keep it in case I lose it need a spare phone one day. So will be there day one. No + size for me too big

Looks like a cheaper iPhone 6 minus the headphone jack.

Hurray for stereo audio with the speakers sitting barely an inch from each other \o.o/ a worthy trade off for the headphone jack.

I think this is shaping up to be a good update. Whilst it isn't a huge shift in terms of overall design, there are a few good features this likely have:

  • TrueTone Display
  • Possibly Waterproof
  • Larger base model capacity (32gb)
  • Better processor as usual
  • Rumoured new colour options
  • Optical Image Stabilisation
I am also hoping this will come with some new iOS features which haven't been announced yet. Kinda like Live Photos, Siri, 3D Touch features etc.

Those speaker holes are huge. Hopefully it has a grill behind there.

Yeah it should be solid. Better cameras, better display (slightly), even faster (6S is still fastest or one of the very fastest on the market), better speakers, 32gb, water proofing, and iOS 10 w/ more 3D Touch integration will make this a decent update. Almost like an S update for 6s users, but definitely size able (but not necessary) for 6 users. All pending how you feel about and how they handle the headphone jack situation.

They're falling behind in the hardware design department though. Something like the S7 Edge has a sleeker design and a much better screen. Still, I think Apple reins supreme in overall experience. Hopefully they close the design gap next year.

I really can't wait for the spin at the event.

fatter camera! 2 year old design! no head phone jack!

Starting at $650.

I'm seriously spoiled by all these amazing flagship android phones you can get for $400.

Slap myself 2 years ago from paying $850 for the laggy pos iphone 6+.

I will be upgrading to this from a 6 so it will be a nice jump.

Am I the only who that thinks the iPhone design from the 6 onwards has been ugly as fuck?

At least we have the SE around for now. Sheesh.

Always thought speakers on the bottom was such a dumb design decision, dual speakers on the bottom doesn't make it much better. What's the point when you have the display sideways? Especially since it makes it a pain in the ass to play games without blocking the speakers. I prefer the Nexus 6p approach.

Well if this is legit then the 'no 3.5mm jack' rumors are true, my current iPhone will be my last iPhone. I use this thing as a souped up MP3 player more than anything. I'm sure there's going to be a lighting port adapter, but it's going to make my phone more cumbersome and I'd rather not bother, especially with my personal experience of Apple doo-dads and extras fraying, breaking and failing after 6 months to a year of use. And while Bluetooth headphones/sets are becoming more popular, I don't find that the battery life on mobile phones really supports their regular use.

I've been on the fence about switching to the other side for a while, but I've always gone with an iPhone at upgrade time since I'm already heavily invested into the ecosystem; gotta hand it to Apple for making the desire to switch easy for me.

Yup, that's an iPhone without a headphone jack. I look forward to all the non-ironic posts about how awesome dongles are.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if it didn't get some sort of hitherto unknown S-gen style feature like Siri/TouchID/3D Touch.

An improved TrueTone/wide color gamut display to hit parity with the iPad Pro 9.7" (plus all of the assorted already-there "Retina HD" dual-domain pixel enhancements that haven't hit the iPad yet) should be really really gorgeous, even if it's likely to get blown away by 2017's rumored AMOLED display (assuming Apple insists on full feature parity with its existing displays so they get the advantages of AMOLED without any corresponding decrease in quality elsewhere - and no, I'm not talking about OLED image retention/ghosting, that's generally a thing of the past).

But yeah, display improvements, camera improvements, and processor improvements sound incremental (and normal) but valuable for the long term. Toss in an exclusive new software feature or two and I'm sold.

I don't anticipate being either upset by or delighted by the headphone situation. Not a huge priority for me either way.

Don't mind the camera, probably means bigger photos. The no headphone jack is a deal breaker unless Apple includes an adapter or Bluetooth earphones.

We never see the top of these things, I don't suppose there are speakers there for landscape stereo right? I think there were rumours about that at some point but alas.

And oh yeah for me a good chunky innovative camera is a big plus. Couldn't care less about the bump.

Ugliest iPhone yet, the aesthetic has dramatically regressed since the 4 IMO. Ill wait till we have official photos to rag on it more but as of now Im leaning towards a Note 7.

Why couldn't they keep the headphone jack and some how integrate it into the speaker hole design? This thing better be waterproof up to 100 feet or something to justify the removal.
