I was the same way and then a couple weeks ago it just started building and all of a sudden I am doing a 24hour straight live stream when I get it from Hello Games.

Its just that type of game. It can sneak up on you and fade out a bit.

Yo I got a question. Can you fly your fighter inside a planet? like take to the sky and explore the planet that way? or you got to land and explore on foot.

This is great!! So hyped for this game. Thanks for the amazing work on the OT. Can't wait to see the reaction from the world when this game hits stores on the 12.

Wonderful OT! Can't believe now it's just two days away now. I really hope it will live up to my expectations, which are extremely high since this has the potential to be the perfect game.

the patch should just download when it's live. you shouldn't have to delete and reinstall the game

Hello Worlds indeed. Wonderful OT, my copy should be getting here tomorrow! Is the day one patch going to be available tomorrow or is it not until day one?

pretty much feel the same way, i dont know why. I was really hyped when this game was announced.

I was certain the game was out today or tomorrow but now I have to wait 2 more, bummer.

The day 1 patch sounds awesome, can't wait.

Less than 24 hours from unlock, already put in word I'm taking a half day Tuesday. Pretty sure the last game I was this hyped for was Red Dead Redemption - and we all know how that went (Game of the Generation obviously).

Almost like the night before Christmas as a kid...

Did you guys read the OP? Here the link for Kotaku and the quote from the devs:

“If you had an early copy somehow, your save game will technically work post update, but you will miss out on new content and experiences if you don’t delete your save before updating (should be obvious why from notes below),” Murray wrote. “We highly recommend deleting your save if you have played before updating your game (we won’t do this in future, but it’s a day zero update).”

EDIT: Nevermind!!! He talked about the SAVED not the GAME itself.

from my experience amazon usually ships the game the same day it releases. Since I live in NYC amazon has same day delivery available. So i get email on release day morning and when I come home at night the games there.

lol. Their game will still download the patch, but their save file will be an old version of the game. They would have to start a new game to have a new save file.

We do not have save files yet, so we wouldn't need to delete a save file. The game will automatically download the patch when it goes live.

I skipped Amazon/physical copy this time around. They normally got games to me day of (except Uncharted 4 and a handful of others over the last few years), it usually was between 8-9 if UPS, the following day if USPS, or 11 am if FedEx - and 90% of shipments from them come UPS. Tuesday afternoon is one of my best chunks of gaming time all week (wife takes the kiddo to a mommy workout group leaving me all alone), so getting an unlock Monday night? That's just gravy.

Besides, having a physical copy is just going to live in the system for a while, besides the extra few bucks, I didn't see a downside.

ETA: Forgot to add, great OT. Solid work!
