Do the markets change what they have in them? I can't find antimatter for sale and without it I can't warp to another system.

I went to a bunch of manufacturing facilities and couldn't find a recipe either.

I've never seen antimatter for sale. If I recall correctly I got the recipe from the alien at the space station.

Started a new game because I couldn't leave a space station for some reason.

Now it's happening on the new game - I hold R2 to launch, and it just makes an error beep at me.

I've tried getting in and out, reloading, rebooting, etc. and nothing works.

LE just arrived. It's really fuckin' nice, the case looks like and feels like a hardcover novel. The steelbook is nicer than expected and the comic also seems to have a very short novel at the end. Absolutely worth it, especially Amazon Prime price of just $3 more than just the game.

Super jealous. Here in Sweden the LE is almost $50 more than the regular edition. It's fucking ridiculous. I really wanted it, as I've been looking forward to this game for so long, but I'm not paying $117 for it.

Man the hours just melt away while playing this game. I'm so damn easily distracted by everything that I'm barely making any progress.

Also, the soundtrack is stellar.

the POI that get placed on your HUD permanently... I scanned while in space and it placed a marker on a giant heridium deposit that wont go away.

Haha, the exact same thing happened to me earlier. I even went and mined it and it didn't go away.

Is your launcher charged? It's an Item in ship inventory.

So far enjoying the game for what it is. My only issue is I have wasted so much time trying to find all the different species of life on planets and have not been successful on any of them. I spent a good 3-4 hours on 1 planet today and can not for the life of me find the last two species I need.

Otherwise its not so bad, can't see it holding my attention for too much longer though.

I'm having a hard time finding this specific question asked anywhere else in the thread, so apologies if this has been asked already: is it possible to get old ships back or are they gone once you get a new one? I switched over to my pre-order ship but didn't want to completely lose my first ship.

Played for about 6 hours today. I spawned on a planet with quite a bit of life. I probably spent a good hour just wandering around and figuring things out. I'm about 4 stars deep now and most of the planets I've seen have been toxic and barren. I'm loving the upgrade system especially for weapons with all the different modifications. I kind of wish you got to start with more inventory space as it fills up rather quickly.

Played for a few hours until I launched off my starter planet. Loving the sense of discovery and wondering "what's over there?"

It's definitely got scope for a few tweaks and improvements, but what they've created is really impressive. Can see myself sinking quite a few hours into it.

Yeah that doesn't seem right! What the hell.

From what I understand similar upgrades grant bonuses if they are next to each other, right? Do they actually have to be next to each other or can they be on top of each other too?

Shouldn't you move on and do something else if you feel like you're waisting your time?

I got off my starter planet last night and noticed some cargo ships floating about in space. Can I do anything with these? I didn't seem to be able to communicate with them in any way or land on them.

I've played for probably close to 20 hours now, and managed to land on around 15, maybe 20 planets. And what amazes me is that about 7 planets I remember vividly due to their backdrop and fauna/flora. Some of these planets are genuinely different. Enough so that they stick in your mind.

Also there is a sort of fondness for your first ever planet too. As most players spend a fair amount of time on their first planet before reaching for the stars. It almost feels bittersweet leaving it behind. Especially when my first planet was lush with life.

I was the opposite. Hated my first planet as I got lost in a dark cave system for about 30 minutes and couldn't find my way out.

Second and third planets were way better

So can anyone tell me the difference between Atlas vs the freely explore option? I chose the latter but it seems like I'm missing stuff by not picking Atlas.

I'm thinking abou switch to PC version, we'll keep my PS4 Collector's Edition for the beauty.
But so far on landing PS4 version is rock solid, maybe a little more fov would be better, but it's nothing bad for an average gamer.

But waiting another two days without touching the game again is hard :(

Enjoying the shit out of this game, but it definitely needs another update to iron out some of these issues asap.

I am shuddering just thinking what kind of updates and expansions this game will get in the coming months and years. Haven't even started yet and I am in awe. Hopefully some of those will bring even more variety.

This 12 hour shift will kill me with suspense :D

Lol I want to move on but I'm still loving my first planet so much, so many ruins so much history of a race. So many alien Bros giving me huge suit upgrades for every single environment.
My favorite one so far was a dude that tried to stick me with a needle, I pulled rank on him he begged me for his life then the next convo mentioned he bit a piece of his tongue off in shame

I bought it from the market the first time I had to make warp fuel. I hope that wasn't a one time thing since I don't have the recipe and had no luck finding it after searching for 2 hours.

Hey guys, two questions:

a) how do I use the preorder ship alpha vector
b) how do I save the game

Learning curve is okay, the first planet was underwhelming but I got the hang of most things.

Yeah I was wrong about remote play last night when someone asked. I only tried it out in a space station so I didn't notice shooting was on the touch screen. I'd recommend switching R1 and R2 in accessibility if anyone wants to use remote play.

So according to someone over in the impressions/review thread, this is now the "circle jerk thread".

Haters hating because hate...I don't understand.

If it's not your cup of tea, it's not your cup of tea. Fair.

I'm pretty sure you
get the blueprint for the antimatter as a sort of story quest. I got a pop up saying to visit a specific place to get said blueprint so I can warp.

Indeed. In the thread about the MP issues some guy just said "I think we have a strong legal case here"

This game is literally making people go nuts.

If you don't like the game fine. It's clear it's not for everyone. But the undeserved hate for the game and the personal insults to the devs is rather grating.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that, depending on the amount of time you have available to game probably goes hand in hand with how you receive the game.

It's a massive time sink, and time melts away when playing it, if you have a lot of time available, I am sure you can lose yourself in the game.

But maybe for people like me, who's time is more limited, you just don't have the time available to sink into searching, exploring and resource gathering.

This game has incited some truly bizarre behavior.

Thank god I didn't have to delete my save. Seems like there was just a marker stuck on my HUD for some reason.

That feel when you find a badass looking ship but it only has 12 inventory slots. :(

The Atlas Pass is basically mandatory if you want to see behind all the locked doors in installations and space stations.

Green items...always a sell?
Korvax casing, grahgrah
for example

There are some recipes that use them but they are very rare. I sell all my greens and if I ever need one I have a list of the planets I've been to and what I've found on them, or I'll just buy from the market. Inventory space is too valuable to waste on something you may not need that doesn't stack.

Anyone have any advice on how to find one last species? I already scanned a flying creature, don't have water on my planet, and spent about 3 hours walking around caves and I haven't found anything in them so far. I feel like I'm missing something obvious.

After repairing my ship, I decided to stay on my starter planet for a few hours. Ended up finding this beaut and fixing her up too. Wish I could have kept both.

I gotta say it's a great feeling grabbing yourself a new ship with more slots. I saved up loads until I could afford one. Felt like a lot of hard work had paid off :D

Now I just need to somehow get over 1mil credits so I can afford one of those bigger ships with like 30 item slots lol.

You're gonna need a lot more than 1 mil for 30 slots, buddy.

Same i need one last animal, constantly seeing groups of animals but i've aready scanned them.

Is this planet vaporwave?

Also, how are people finding other players' systems on their path? I thought this was going to be something pretty rare anyway, given the scale and all

You can scan from the star map, looking for discoveries.

Sat patiently by the letter box waiting for the game to arrive.

Made the mistake of visiting the game's subreddit in the meantime. That place is an absolute dumpster fire right now, even more so than it was before; every post is about what "deceptive liars" the devs are, and any comment someone makes saying they're enjoying the game is downvoted into oblivion.
