Sorry what's the photon canon bug?

- bought a new ship
- got into space battle
- start firing my photon cannons and they fire even though the UI says 0%
- I get objective pop ups saying "yo recharge your photon cannons with oxide elements"
- try to recharge photon cannons and you can't even select it to get to the charge menu, there isn't even a meter

fortunately it's not a big problem. turns out the mining laser is actually better for combat anyway, you can mostly ignore it

Good to know. I'm sure they'll fix all this DLC ship bugs eventually.

you're supposed to recharge them with oxide materials. my photon cannons are stuck at 0% but I am still able to fire additionally the game is constantly bugging me to recharge them

What do trading outposts on planet show up under when scanning with beacons? Shelter or colonial outposts? I swear this awesome cube planet only has facilities and operation centers all over it. I don't want to leave the planet every time to bring back the cubes.

So I have this one multi-tool that seemed to be launching grenades using L1 (it has no grenade upgrade slotted in it so I assumed it's just a feature of the tool). I ran out and now when I try to use L1 it says I'm missing the appropriate material. I have no idea what material it s though. Any one have any ideas?

2. You cant and they need to fix that asap.

The only thing good about that is I might want to quickly return to take a pic of my first planet if it lets me because I forgot to and I'll clear it off then. Thanks!

Yeah I got lucky. The new ship with the beefed up hyperdrive was better overall as well. Had like 5 new slots and more weapon upgrades. I found it like 20 min after I spent millions on a ship lol.

The first night playing I rebounded off of a station after coming out of pulse jump, pretty disorientating. I was kind of drunk though.

Some outposts have the trading terminals. I found a planet that had cortex cubes at every base, so I just kept looking for outposts with trading terminals and farming the area.

Yeah but I was worried that if I kept on doing it I would have run into increasingly more difficult enemies. Or at least more number of them.

Also, I remember last time needing to find a trading terminal and it took me forever.

Yeah. Even at 0% you could shoot them. When you have a chance, fire your phase beams to test that the % on the hud goes down, then try your photon cannons. They should have a % on the HUD too.

...not only that but when they were at 0% I would get a pop up saying to recharge them lol despite being able to fire.

Definitely a bug. Preorder ship might have something to do with it.

FYI. If you do the melee/jetpack fast travel into water you keep that same forward momentum the whole time in the water. A quick way to quickly cross a large body of water when on foot.

Is the photon cannon bug the one in which your photon cannon charge stays at 0 percent?

If one good thing that taught me, was that it made me focus on developing my phase beam, and actually - the phase beam leveled up is better than a photon cannon. Much easier to aim.

You're crashing into the space station because you have boost enabled still. Just slow down, you have plenty of time to never hit it.
