Probably the coldest I've had it get on me...

Now that work is close to wrapping up I think I'm not going to play tonight. I just dipped my feet pretty much into some cool shit and I don't want to get any more attached to my ship or multi-tool before hitting the reset button tomorrow morning.

Fingers crossed for the PC version. I really don't need much but better performance and IQ out of this game right now.

Just noticed something in the Multi Tool menu, when you craft new technology for the Multi Tool try to craft the green and blue recipes side by side to get a bonus.

For instance, I crafted a green recipe in an empty box right next to an existing green tech I already had and I got a bonus to mining.

Remember:
Green=mining
Blue=Boltshot (attacking gun)

My money is on them pushing it hard against deadline and wrapping build only when absolutely necessary so they have time to upload to Steam. Basically barely getting PC version done in time for Friday release.

The PC version is gonna be a buggy mess, isn't it?

How many slots?

Aluminum is super easy to spot from flight because, well, it looks like aluminum. Also both of those can be found in asteroids in some systems.

I would have to check on that but it's quite a few. I went from that dinky starter one to this Space Marine gun. Now my aiming is less "floaty" and more like a traditional shooter.

So I'm finding this Exotic element now called Murrine (Mu).
Anyone else run into it yet?

It only yields 4-5 per destruction. Meaning I have to actually destroy the whole plant before it yields anything. And Using the grenade is the best way to harvest them because the regular mining tool is very slow for it. I have only found it on a specific plant so far, no rocks.

I have found some and it doesn't seem valuable and no crafting requires is it as yet.

What's the best way to get nickle and aluminum? Meteorites aren't giving me jack shit, and that's when I actually can't find one that's made of one of the two.

I must be naive or something. I've been enjoying NMS so much and I come on GAF to find people absolutely furious about the game. More so as time goes on it seems.

Thanks guys. Stood there for a moment and was just.. stunned by the view.
Propably helped that i had Solar Fields playing in the background.
Can´t recommend it enough, fits extremely well. ( no offense to the in game background music :D )

Is there a way to make the flight combat better. . like it was crap I just got owned by two ships

Upgrade your phase beam and shielding. I dunno if upgrades make the photon cannons better but I can't hit shit with them, whereas the phase beam locks on in an enormous range and hits instantly. With upgrades you can burst fire the phase beam and wreck a ship really fast.

Ok a question.

I only have 8 slots in my Multi-tool, but I have found some really good schematics. So I am okay with just going as high as possible with them as I can (my highest is a Combat Amplifier Omega and it takes down flying Sentinels in a second) or do I want to stack all the Combat Amplifiers (Sigma, Tau, Theta and Omega) when I can?

I think some of it, not all obviously as the game does have flaws, is people painting a picture of this game that simply never existed. Now you could say that's the fault of devs or Sony or the media or whatever, but there's no doubt that there was a lot of misinformation and general confusion surrounding the game that is now causing backlash.

part of me wants to pre-order the PC version but the other part of me is saying wait until it releases to see how people say it runs

only thing I'd be missing out on is the pre-order ship which in the big scheme of things isn't that big of a deal

Auto aim and instant hits? Nice.

Also I'm headed toward some Atlas sighting or something but not near the center of the universe. . am I taking the wrong path?

I have found nickel on occasion in the 'oversized' asteroids that are bigger than the average ones floating around.

Just use best stuff you can when space limited. Putting +2, +3, +4... next to each other could give extra boost, but if limited in space go for that +4 etc.

Regardless of all the pisstivity tgis game is causong people in the other threads, i feel like this game is going to sell very well. I mean look at the front page. There like 5 NMS threads just on the first page Lmao. There'll be another one tonight when the PC performance thread hits.

I was pretty worried about this for weeks in advance, when the PC release date was up in the air, but I ended up deciding to just have completely different playstyles on my PS4 save versus PC save and I've been digging it so much. There are aspects I really want to dive into on PC that I have barely touched on PS4, and things I've done already on PS4 I will never do on PC.

I do feel that "The True No Man's Sky Starts Tomorrow" for me, though.

This game man....
Outstanding shot.

I have to go out of town for a couple days, so tonight this will be me playing NMS. At least I'll get to warp for the first time.

I'm surprised to hear people saying the upgraded mining laser is better in dogfights. Seems like bad balancing if they've made industrial equipment better at combat than combat weapons.

Yeah I think you're right. I only dabbled in the previews of the game over it's development so went in not really knowing what to expect. I just can't stop playing it and am having so much fun, it's odd to read such opposite views

Just had 1000 people in the livestream all taking turns naming animals and we happened to land on the best god damned planet ever. Derptopia had the Strutnmule, Meownavore, Trotting Dingus and Dostridge. My god it was like a laugh factory. It has a ton of problems but sometimes you get that ONE planet.
