No Man's Sky |OT| Hello Worlds.

I would absolutely love to have the ability to bank items / materials in some sort of box that you can access at any space station. I'm effectively chewing up slots holding onto items that don't stack (i.e. Atlas Stones, or charms). I just want to offload them somewhere for when / if I ever need them. Same goes for random rare minerals that I stumble across, but don't want to chew up the inventory slot holding onto it while I wait for a particular item to craft that may require it.

Anyone know a good place to get copper? I tried looking out in space as thats where I found it before, but this afternoon I tried again and it was just iridium and iron for days.

Big rocks in orbit. I also fed an animal and they found me a small amount as well.

Been trying to get Iridium but having no luck. Im looking for potato asterois but its always copper.

They dont spawn in every system?

I don't know. but there are definitely systems where otherwise rare ressources like Nickel and Iridium are abundant. The planetI´I'm on right now has literally mountains made of Iridium.

So if you happen to come by the Zuohekouste System... ;)

I sent hello games a support ticket I hope I don't have to restart. That would suck so hard

There are a LOT of glitches popping up with the game. Can't blame them too much as it's so different with how it's constructed... but it's def. forcing a LOT of people to restart. Sometimes multiple times!

Thakfully, for me personally... i'm playing this more as a chill, relaxation experience just focused with exploration so restarting was actually very interesting.

First go round i started in paradise and had no idea what to do. Second time i started in a relatively toxic hell zone but was able to breeze through getting the hyperdrive in maybe 45 minutes. All surrounding planets thus far have been VASTLY different from the planets i saw in my first start.

I really think more people should restart if they're not "finding diversity". It's got to have some relative distance/proximity thing for planet and animal differences.

With big bodies of water though? I've basically just found planets with ponds and small lakes. Nothing like a coast where you look out and only see water.

My hyper drive blueptint was hidden on such a planet. Took a 5-6 min swim to get to it. Too bad the water was highly riradiated otherwise it would have been beautiful.

Lmao I love how fucked you are when you change ships from the pre order ship. I assume the bug is repeated to it because of the other big bug with it.

Photon Cannon is depleted and can't be recharged now, you don't get the lead cross hair for space ships when firing at them so you can't hit shit. Even if it hits it does 0% damage.
Why not try the phase beam I hear you say? Well no beam comes out every time I fire and I just end up hurting my shields.

Im left without means to defend myself from space pirates. GG. And with that I will stop playing this game until this bullshit is fixed.

Whosever idea it was to do this pre-order ship. I want to give you a slap in the fucking face.

I think I'm starting to get buyers remorse. Put about 12 hours in the ps4 version, and everything just feels the samey. It's like the scale of the game doesn't match the scale of things to do. Or even come close. I havent hit a planet that had a hundred creatures surrounding me like the trailer. Even if I did, what can I do with them? Kill them and get materials, Let them be, rename them, or?

I think it was good for the first ~6 hours. The tech behind the game is amazing, and I can't wait to see where titles like these go next. But right now I don't think this is for me. I only paid $50 after tax, but 30$ would have been better. I've had 3 crashes but it didnt really bug me as the save system works well. Not sure I want to trade it in for a loss or wait for future patches/updates with base building.

*flame shield charged up

I managed to encounter an awesome bug that has my photon cannons at 0% but I can shoot them fine, never having to refill them. Yay for cheatz

I had such a good session last night. Finally left my starting solar system, traveled to a new system and found some rather lovely planets, one a lush "forest" planet with creatures that looked like the stuff of nightmares but were non-aggressive beyond a ram like thing that keep chasing after me.

Followed the atlas path to a third system that had four planets and a moon. I'll be heading back to the second system because I didn't get to spend any time there, and want to learn some Gek words and find suit upgrades. I found about three more during last nights streaming session.

This game is so damn repetitive, but I can't get enough of it. My work day hasn't even started yet and I'm ready to dive back in.

I built up some cash again, but not enough to buy a new ship yet. Oh yeah, one of the planets in that third system I went to had super hostile sentinels and prime resources, including Gravitino balls. I jacked two of them and hightailed it out of there after these spider-like sentinels started destroying me. Good times.

Anyone here has tips on finding the records? I know that it's the animals on the planet but I have a hard time finding the last 3 :(

Different weather conditions and times of day. Also you might just need to go to a different part of the planet and look around. I picked up the last one on a planet after flying around for a bit away from where I had been. Found a pig man in the middle of a firestorm. He wanted to eat my face apparently.

Speaking of, is the 100% planet collection bugged or something? I uploaded all the data for a specific planet, it's listed for me as 100%, but I cannot redeem the rewards nor does it list it as a planet I have completed.

Yeah. I am living vicariously through posts like this until I can return to my PS4.

I've spend several hours in this game and it was last night where I finally figured out you can zoom your scanner in on things far away. That was a forehead slapping moment. Now I can scan birds in finally.

Captains Log, Day 2: I awake from my sleep to find the dew building inside my cockpit. The hot atmosphere on this planet is making my evaporators work harder then normal. I can hear the fauna but have yet to witness one. The atmosphere is toxic but my scanner has shown me that the local flora can counteract the sickness. My goal for today is to find enough Iridium to get my secondary Hyperspace engines spun up. Three more jumps and I will reach the black hole that Nada pointed me to.

Hear me Atlas for I am coming..

end.

Lol, I know what you mean. Whenever I'm not playing it I'm thinking about playing it.

Next time I'm definitely going to try upgrading my ship and start going after freighters. Now I can't stop thinking about that. It's probably gonna be a disaster but we'll see.

I have found a ton of variety - my favorite vistas are from moons (captured the satellite in mid transition)

I think one thing people need to get over is just not 100% each planet and just exploring because there is some crazy stuff out there.

How many jumps have you made? I want to see stuff like this.

Followed my second
Atlas waypoint
and was tired of
following this thing around
.
Demanded refusal
and made my way back to my Utopia. When gathering resources I found a crashed ship. Took a look at it and it has an extra slot then mine does but also had a warp drive. The journey of getting this thing at least flyable then finding a landing platform to fly this stumbling ship to was time consuming fun. I... just don't want to leave this planet/system.

I finished the Atlas
story line and did the 10 stones ending
and was thinking I'd try to get to the center of the universe. I'm at least 167
black hole trips
from the center. This after spending 30+ hours and getting the platinum.

Time to trade it in!

Scanning birds is still hard. Does the range upgrade help?

Also, a good tip is you can view your building with the scanner and it becomes a waypoint. This has been incredibly helpful.

Signal Boosting - When you finally do get all the species, immediately press options and hold X on the little grey box that says '100%, upload for xCredits' beneath the list of species discovered. That's what actually uploads that data and ticks the milestone, it does not tick automatically!

Great. Two hours before NMS, we lose power over here

I blame Atlus

Aw man. It's going to be hard to resist a double dip

So good

I made a huge mistake. After despising the game for the first 6-8 hours I was finally coming around to it a bit and now I see this. Damn it all to hell, why didn't I wait? That FOV slider might get me to double dip plus the AF might help with the muddy look and the AA is just a cherry on top.

I blame Noomi for trying to take off with NASA rocket.

Jesus Christ, I may need a new PC after all.
I think the PS4 version looks fine, but this is stunning.

The thing that is really pulling me in with the game is the outstanding looking vistas.

I cant wait to unlocking on Steam, that 4k with proper FOV is going to be glorious.

Got damn. I hope the Neo patch gets the same options.

Personally, I would wait for patches. I feel like this was a labor of love and the devs will put some effort into improving things for the community.

That's the same one that lists the percentage while exploring and categorying a planet right? Clicking on it doesn't do anything on the planet and it just says 100% complete.

For God's sake

Still, cool to know
