Any way to move items around within the multi-tool inventory? I'd like to align my upgrades with the mining beam. I'm on PC with mouse/keyboard.
Dismantle and rebuild everything you can in the order you want- you get a fraction of the materials to rebuild each from the dismantle.

It's not necessarily worth it though. You want to trade up your multitool as often as you can, so the early ones really suck.

edit: oops sorry, failed to edit.

Man, the shit some people are slinging at Sean on Twitter is disgusting.

I hate people.

Stuff like that is why I never refer to myself as a gamer(not that it comes up often in everyday conversation ;) ) but just as a guy who likes videogames.

A lot of gamer "culture" is a cesspool full of anger, hostility and faux outrage.

TFW when you are about to land for the first time, see tons of mineral deposits, and then you get out and you see that low Sentinel activity

Can I actually build a new Scanner for my Multi-Tool if I dismantle the one on it? I'd like to make sure my Technologies are up to snuff.

So far I've landed on probably 10 planets and so far none of them have been pretty in the classical sense. But I love how alien they all feel. It's been great so far

yup the basic multitool techs are always available to craft, for like barely anything if I remember right.

I really like how a lot of the game is just figuring things out on your own - like scanning the freighters in space will sometimes show you on a nearby planet a point of interest.

Somehow I've managed to create a couple of little grey/white waypoint markers while wandering around on this moon, and I've got no idea how to remove them.

you can scan planets from space from some distance depending on your scanner upgrades. I'm not sure but I wonder if the waypoints you get from doing this have a better chance of being something good.

I know what you mean. My favorite phase of games like this is when the community is piecing everything together

Indeed.

Like. I get it. You spend $60 on a game and its either bad, broken, or both.

If you want to communicate your feelings something like "I'm incredible disappointed in this" or "Your game is broken, I will be refunding my purchase. Please hire better QA" are both reasonable ways of expressing discontent

Unfortunately most of his mentions are "Fuck you fucking asshole" or much much worse. You are right that this does seem to be a very common trait amongst gamers or just 'nerd' culture in general. I don't know why, but the pattern is there

Actually, what's stranger is people referring to Sean as like he's there friend and pretending like they are personally offended that this dude's game is being shit upon.

Guys. A little help. I just found my first abandoned ship. I already got my blueprint for the hyperdrive and can also already create antimatter and warp cells. I have used the pre-order ship AFTER this

The one thing I need now is to create the dynamic resonator in order to repair the broken hyperdrive. Please don't tell me I am fucked.

You can buy one, you'll learn the Blueprint later on. Just buy it for now :)

You're fine. Common component at your local space mechanic (station)

If you accepted the Atlas at the beginning (big red orb) quest info will be in the bottom right of the screen. Some quest steps appear like tool tips, such as go to the Galactic map to warp to another system.

I did but the Galactic Map info is all that appears. I also don't have an Atlas card V1 or whatever.

Being disappointed in a 60 dollar/euro purchase doesn't entitle you to sling insults or threats at someone. That's just common human decency or at least it should be.

That's really stranger to you than a large collective telling someone who made a video game to go fuck oneself, to die, that he's a piece of shit, etc.? That's really stranger?

I see a lot of people complaining about sentinels. You kill the one or two flying ones near you before they can radio for help and you're fine. Mining beam is enough to melt them fairly easily. They drop good shit too.

How many inventory slots can ships have? I've a cool five million units burning a hole in my pocket, but I can't seem to find anything with more than 29 slots.

So I'm in my second system right now, have 20+ slots in my suit, and bought a 300,000 credit ship I like. But I'm still being annoyed to redeem my pre-order ship. Is there any way to get the message to go away? I don't actually want the pre-order ship because it's a downgrade from what I have now.

Anyone figure out how to farm and tame animals?

You don't tame them, but you can feed them.

Certain animals are more receptive to it and will repay you buy taking you to a place of interest (sometimes just another resource) or they'll defecate rare resources. Just walk up to one and hold down square. You probably a certain type of mineral, usually carbon or another isotope.

My first planet was disappointing, was just a giant brown turd.

Second planet is much better though.. :D
I'll be here for a while.

Man, you got beachfront property! When base building comes, I wanna build mine on a beach! But first I'd have to find a planet with an ocean...

Anyhow, I'm liking this game more and more every time I play it. I was ganked by space pirates but you know what? That's what I get for spending zero resources on upgrading the ship weapons/defense because I wanted to be a peaceful mofo, and for assuming that everybody/everything else would just leave me to my own devices. Lesson learned, I'm gonna go ham on those fools one day...

I reached my 3rd system, this one has 6 worlds. One is this frigid ice world that has storms like every 10 minutes, on which I did my researching by running from the ship, scanning/blasting, running back so my shields recharge, and so forth. Strangely enough it was absolutely teeming with life. The world I'm on now is absolutely barren despite having no toxin/radiation/inclimate weather, etc. There were 2 plants to discover and that's absolutely it, lol. It's also the biggest planet I've landed on yet.

After you redeem it, you can choose to decline it. I assume it'll go away afterwards, but I chose the pre-order ship after using my starter ship.

if you click redeem and then decline it on the compare screen it still nags you to redeem?

Plasma Launcher + Homing Grenade = one shot kill for the flying sentinels.

Sometimes they will just get happy and follow you around, seemingly no limit from what I saw. I forgot to check if I got into a fight with something else if it would help me; just been killing everything on this playthrough
