Oh fuck those too

That crashes during hyper jumps break the game for me. I can't believe the game was allowed to shop with this issue.

I swear this game was gonna be delayed another couple months but i guess Sony stepped in. Or they got tired of death threats.

Seriously i love this game but jesus fuck what a shitshow.

I can't leave the star system I'm currently in, cause the game has crashed every time I try to leave.....Its broken.

So I bought a new ship for fucking 20 million units just to realize that more than half the time I shoot lasers they actually damage my shields instead of my enemies.

The beams don't even appear on the screen.

WTF...

Iv had that. Try moving around and shooting or switching the weapons. Eventually or at least for me it fixed itself.

Also pic of the ship? Cause damn the most iv seen is 4mil. How much storage?

The real only complaint I have against sentinels is that they shouldn't be allowed to attack you while you can't defend yourself. Example using monoliths or save points.

Agreed. There also needs to be some improvement to their pathing & spawn locations. Often times when I am attempting to break into a factory or operations center, once they go on alert from me breaking the door in, I'll have a Sentinel either stuck on the other side of the building (while still increasing his countdown timer to alerting more Sentinels) or actually stuck inside the building I'm trying to break into somehow.

Waaaaaat. Jeez, how far in are you? The most expensive ship I've seen so far was about 7 million.

Bought this on launch day for PS4, went in with an open mind as I really enjoyed the zen-like atmosphere of Minecraft. From all the trailers and gameplay info I was definitely getting that vibe somewhat from No Man's Sky. It's exactly what I was expecting and has surprised me in a few spots too. I am really enjoying it so far, been playing for a fair solid 20 hours now, finally ditched the starter ship I was very attached too but it was holding back my progress in gathering resources. I'm not hording resources or looking to get rich in the game, I just gather enough to allow me to warp and explore systems.

As long as I have enough Plutonium, Carbon, Thamium9, Heridium and Zinc (the rare one out of this group) I am okay to fly! I'm pretty happy with the game but there's definitely some things they can improve, which I am hoping is on the cards for the next patches:

  • Option to turn off 'Journey Milestone Accomplishment' as it's really annoying when it does its little music crescendo with the view letterboxing! A switchable notification will suffice.
  • Option to clear wayfinding routes in the map. Why can't we do that if we've already travelled to another part of the universe and it just sits there mocking me!
  • Option to turn off HUD / notifications / on-screen icons, for that sweet unhindered view.
I think if those issues can be addressed, I can see this game doing the same thing to me as Minecraft does - enjoy it for weeks on end, take a break and play something else and then the urge to dive back in comes back and it sucks me in again.

Sidenote: One thing I've thought about though is the possibility of mixing Destiny's gunplay, character creation and FPS controls with No Man's Sky procedural universe, crafting and flight systems to get the best of both worlds. Some kind of super game if you will...

Sooo...what's my next objective after I've finished the 'Craft Antimatter' objective? All it's telling me to do is go into space and use the Hyper Drive, but I'm not ready to jump systems. I just got here...

I spent just a little under 20 million for a 35 slot ship.

I don't really feel compelled to upgrade my ship again though. Especially since higher ones are even more expensive.

I just kind of want to get to the center of the galaxy and then screw around.

I definitely need a new ship, as my current one only has 18 slots. I've got 5.8 million units right now, but I'm going to farm pearls some more tomorrow. The planet I'm on is great. No toxins, and pearls in every cavern.

spent the last hour stuck in a cave. So fulfilling finally getting out of the cave. Also about 15 hours in and have yet to get an Atlus Stone. I think I may be screwed

I just got one from my first Atlas Station today. They sell for close to 70,000 units each, or you can keep them if you're doing the Atlas path.

Tried another system and it still crashes. Welp, guess i just can't warp right now.

Have you tried landing on a planet and doing a few discoveries first? That fixed my warp crash.

Also, I can confirm that player slots go beyond 40. Just hit that 5 minutes ago.

Finding monoliths and learning the different languages should tie you over for a good while - missing out on good drops because the lack of understanding when interacting with different races/cracking codes/monolith riddles can be a bit of a downer.

Mining/Farming for rare elements is always a go-to...you're gonna need units for multi-tool/ship/exo-suit upgrades, which can get pretty expensive from what other gaffers are posting

Fuck this fucking game.
I collected my ten atlas stones..went to the final atlas station...did what it asked
Make a new star, spend 10 atlas stones
and then nothing.

I leave the station and there was no option to do anything. Checked the star map..saw the next hop was a black hole..go there..nothing....still 170,000 light years from the center.

I watch this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hATxy84F2a4
And am now thinking I should have clicked the center of the galaxy instead of the black hole.

PS4 needs a real no-hud mode for screenshots like yesterday. This game is so beautiful but I don't scan from orbit anymore because those fucking icons just clutter up the screen. Like really, I constantly need to know there's a manufacturing facility on a planet all the way across the solar system from the one I just landed on?

Mostly a mix of gravitino balls and gold. I was making 950k per gravitino run with +5.5% trade terminal I was using.

Also if you find a planet with a ton of gold crystals (NOT the big raw chunks sticking out of the ground, those take much longer), it can pay off to stick around and mine for a while

Another way to earn a lot in a short time is to sell bypass chips. Mine 1500 plutonium and iron (5-10min) and make bypass chips. Sell them for +-500k.

Sorry if it's been asked before, but is there any way to disable (or least reduce frequency of) the "next mission objective" and tutorial popups in the bottom right corner?

I'm getting real tired of being constantly told that I can easily move items between my exosuit and spaceship by pressing Y. I know that by heart already game, leave me alone.

(I'm on PC).

That's what I discovered last night just before going to bed. I had one BC in my inventory and it sold for 3500.
I had to triple check my math to make sure I'm not missing something, 10 plutonium and 10 iron are so abundant and cheap, I think I'm making 2500 for each chip.
So, I just saved the game and went to sleep, perhaps today I'll spend a few hours crafting right next to the sales terminal.

I just got to a space station where I'm seeing buypass chips being bought for twice the normal amount. Thinking about doing a quick farming trip to see how much I could make in an hour.

About black holes:

It's pretty silly how black holes are just tiny little holes in the solar system like a Star Fox secret exit. The first black hole I found was surrounded by 3 planets. They made black holes look pretty weak. I wish they were basically big void areas in the galactic map that get uncovered in the way you find them now.

I don't know if this has been covered yet. Sean was asked about the PS exclusivity of the game and hesitated, dodged and then a Sony spokesperson stepped in. Potentially an X1 version incoming?

http://m.mynews.ly/!EH.EN194

He was asked a long time ago and avoided it, said something like "oh god, I knew it ..." but changed the subject. It's coming, it's his game to publish, but I guess he has to deal with both Sony and MS policies, whatever they are?

Milestone notifications are just bad because it prevents you from interacting with anything for a good few seconds while you just sit there waiting for the notification to go away.

Also I would have expected the game to have stellar phenomenon...Nebulas, Pulsars, Binary star systems, or even ringed planets. Would have been cool to see a system that does not have a star but rather a black hole that the Planets orbit. The black holes you see in this game are basically small wormholes since they can be right next to a planet and allow you to travel distances quickly.

Oh wow, this is a great tip. I'm a few hundred thousand off of getting a ship to double my current capacity (still only on the 16 slot DLC ship :/)

I keep hoping I will luck out on one of these super rich planets sooner or later, but crafting bypass chips is super easy.

Same for me. Well about 140,000 light years away now. Im guessing another 40-60 hours. I just accepted that I will never finish this game.

I'm not interested in "finishing" the game any time soon, I'm just loving exploring and upgrading etc.

I was fine with this for about 45 hours. I'm not finding any new upgrades anymore. No big new revelations. Same everything. If there are some big content patches I think this might fix it.

Did you open your star map after you accepted?
If you watch that video the guy somehow had a straight shot to the center. I cant believe they would put a black hole as my next waypoint.

-EDIT-
FYI some of you..its not finishing the game...its the Atlas Quest Line. Did everything it asked and just wanted the new galaxy.

Not sure if you two have the same issue, but this was happening to me earlier today and another user told me not to warp near the space station which fixed the problem for me. I just boost away until I'm in the asteroids and then warp from there.

Can someone tell me if there's a way to locate undiscovered species on a planet? I've never found and scanned all life forms, eventually I just get bored and stop looking because there's no way to know where they are.

That guy was already at the center before he finished the Atlas path. He had an early copy and was able to get there quickly. After you finish the Atlas path
you get to see all black holes on the map without going to see nada.

I got up to 15 mil today. Kept getting side tracked doing my mining looking for that atlas v2 pass. They just dont seem to want to give it to me. Done like 7 or 8ish atlas interfaces and done about 100 command post thingys. Errrgh.

Not really, I've just been flying the ship a pretty good distance then hop out scan everything in the area and repeat. Just make sure you check the sky for flying creatures and underwater.

Edit: And for those struggling to scan flying animals, you can just kill them and scan the corpse when it falls to the ground.
