... but why?
Disc.
I got about six crashes in an hour yesterday.
3 crashes so far. 2 with my first file (deleted due ship bug); and only one yested with the new file. I've played around 20hrs with my new file.
Yup.
Did you have your starter ship when you saw it?
As of this moment I think the Atlas passes V2 and V3 are worthless. None of the doors give anything, it actually seems like it's bugged.
... but why?
I almost always find them on the wall at the facilities with one landing pad.Could my session be bugged? I've already visited 6 planets, searched through a lot of buildings and never once found a new multi-tool (more than 12 hours of gameplay).
I have blueprints for everything but I'm still stuck with the first five-slot-worth multi-tool (my ship and my suit are so much better it's absurd).
Isn't that vanilla?Because why not? Now I'm waiting for the NMS mod that remakes the game in MSPaint
I'm joking of course
Just a heads up...
I started on version 1.0. I wanted to knock out the 32 sols journey easy, but then I read that I would need to start a new save or not gain any of the benefits of the 1.03 patch. After about 8 hours I got the trophy for staying alive 32 sols and went ahead and updated to 1.03. The journey progress reset for both the 32 sols and 60 animals (no big deal I already had gold on them) but my progress toward all other milestones stayed the same and continued to update after the patch...
You do not need to delete your save to benefit from the 1.03 if you have an older save on 1.00. I guess the only thing you miss is choosing the three paths? I am not sure if you even miss that because after I update the next system sent me to a point and I had to chose from thee paths...
Using my old save my inventory went from stacks of 100 to 250/500...
Using my old save the variety of animals, planets and ships at space stations increased.
After updating I now have 2 saves, vs only the one on the old patch...
The changes were actually amazing, and made the game even better.
Watching my daughter and son play on a fresh patched version save I see no difference at all. I have NO idea why they would tell you otherwise...
So if you are waiting on updating for any reason don't worry. If you want to knock out the hard trophy for 32 sols, get it out of the way on patch 1.0 and then update.
Isn't that vanilla?
I'm joking of course
this gif is quite stupid in a way.
Then again the whole PC Master race thing is a bit stupid anyways.
Btw, I am on 1.3 and the staying in the shelter/32 sols still works. It's just... really conditional.
So... After you buy a new ship your old one just kinda sits there as an abandoned ship...So I think I discovered a glitch. Not sure if it's been discussed yet.
I decided to purchase a ship while at the space station. After purchasing, I realized I forgot to transfer my things over to the new ship. So I instantly tried to reload my most recent save and it reloaded me inside the space station with the same ship, so I reloaded the older save and it took me a bit further back before I bought the ship and when I was inside the.Atlas
Oddly enough, I still had the same new ship I bought. The only difference was that I still had all of my stuff as well as the previous ships storage space, but I got an entirely new ship skin for free.
So I don't know if this was a one off situation or what, but it seems possible that if you like the look of a new ship, but don't feel like spending the extra money on it, then you can change the appearance of your current ship while retaining your current ships storage slots and inventory. You just need to have the funds to cover it initially.
I think it might be a little glitched on some...they say the 32 sols needs to be on the same planet on 1.03...
I also read on patch 1.0 you needed to be on a planet and that also was not the case..I was getting progress toward 32 sols no matter where I was. I just played the game and made sure not to die and after 8 hours got the gold...
So... After you buy a new ship your old one just kinda sits there as an abandoned ship...
Not sure if you can switch back to the old one, then back to the new one and retransfer for gear though...
But your way glitches your money back, though... Nice.
Actually I guess I exaggerated a bit, it was only 33 slots. I did take a screenshot though:

Do a take the shortcut the centre or continue the atlas path?
When upgrading the beam, for example, do the new tech nodes have to touch the initial beam node? If so I can see the trade off btwn more space and upgrades on that ship.
Am I right on this when evaluating a ship?
Not 100% sure on how that works (there was a post on it a while back), but they do get that highlight around the square when they're connected to like parts. But yeah, I guess in that one the beam might not be that great since it's on the far left, and thus can't have any of the bonuses from having the extras attached. And I don't think you can breakdown the beam itself and put it somewhere else, though I might be wrong. I know you can't with some parts though.
So is it possible for this game to get huge DLC expansion or no? I actually enjoy it in a weird way even though it feels repetitive i can see where expansions would make this game amazing.
Can anyone clarify this or link to the post they referred to?
On your inventory screens, upgrades can be placed adjacent to the related technology to apply bonuses. There will be a colored outline around the connected tech if done correctly.

I noticed that myself when I was messing with the pre-order ship.So I think I discovered a glitch. Not sure if it's been discussed yet.

So anyone found of activated an active portal on land ? I found one but could not figure out how to activate it .
I have a feeling there are a ton of mysteries no one has found yet.
Warped right into a massive thirty ship battle going to my first Blue (Theta upgrade) star. Luckily I had the Sigma and Tau upgrades for the shields and Phase Cannons.
I was finally able to reach 1m of money, and already spent 900k in one ship. At least i finally have around 20 slots in my ship; the ships on the Space Stations are always so expensive
If you put upgrades for the same item (let's say, Jetpack) the upgrades will have a extra color around the slot. No idea what it means.
I found it, it was on this post from Hawkian:

It stands to reason the creatures, etc should already be cataloged in some form as well.
So it doesn't need to start at the base tech like beam, cannon, etc?
This reminds me...how do you "discover" creatures? I've run up to them many times, but never get to name them or anything. How?
Hm... not sure if anyone else has run into this issue. I built a new Warp Reactor Theta. Trying to go to a system but it says I need Warp Theta and wont let me... Not sure whats going on or if I'm doing something wrong.
