You can... but not with Microsoft pre-paid cards. Can we still not buy BC 360 games on the XB1 Store? I thought that was getting added a while ago.

This seems to be an issue with the latest preview build, according to several threads on the preview forums, assuming that you're in the preview program that is?
Any word on Goldeneye Reloaded getting backwards compatibility?
Yeah I am. Thanks for that. I did look on the forums there but couldn't find anything.
Having said that, I played several hours of RDR last night to test for any problems, and it ran just fine, so it's possible that the latest preview build has resolved these issues?
I should also note, that there's since been another preview build update tonight too.
Did Daytona support the racing wheel? I'm not too knowledgeable on those peripherals. But that would be awesome if it would work.
No idea if anyone can help, but the framerate in Red Dead Redemption has gone to shit for me and I have no clue how to fix it.
It was fine up until a few days ago, when suddenly it started dropping to what seems like single figures in towns. Outside of towns it smooths out, but what happens is, it is smooth, then judders for a second or so, then goes smooth, then judders etc etc. It does it like clockwork.
I tried deleting the game and re-downloading it, which worked the first time I played it, until I had to reload a save and then it was back to being all shitty.
I have even moved the installation from an external drive to the internal one, and same thing - plays fine the first boot up, then after that goes back to being basically unplayable in towns. Very frustrating.
That sounds like an issue on your end. Check out the Digital Foundry test for the game.I've been playing red dead and while it started out pretty good, I'm into Mexico now and the performance has just been getting worse and worse. This last mission felt like 10fps most of the time. Really awful to play.
And when running through the world there are hitches every second or so.
I switched to Xbox 360 and it's so much better. Smooth frame rate, better colors and image quality.
Backwards compatibility is a nice feature on paper but if this is the result why waste time on it?

That is exactly where I am in the game. The train chase in Mexico. Literally unplayable.Didn't see your post. The game absolutely gets worse as it goes on. Missions where youve got multiple people chasing across the desert or alongside a train turn into a slideshow.
The gamw was also really bad after fast traveling. It eventually gets a little better but not by much.

The one where you fend off the rebels with the Gatling gun? It's totally playable on my S; just played it a few days ago actually. Haven't tried it on the OG yet.
They only played the first hour or so.
Hmmm, I'll test it again when I get the S but I honestly don't remember significant drops outside of Thieves' Landing from my playthrough. The problem is they didn't get much further than armadillo.
As other people have posted the train chase in Mexico is where things really start to get bad. It was slowing down before but that mission was where it felt like a consistent 15-20fps.
It affects the control of the game. I'm back to 360 now and it is much smoother and better control response. Glad there's easy cloud save synching.
I'd definitely play that again.Any word on Goldeneye Reloaded getting backwards compatibility?
Disappointed at no new announcements today - or is that being saved for the middle of Gamescom this week?

After yesterdays preview update Red Dead seems to be fine for me again now. I notice in the preview app there is a quest now asking for people to play a BC title and submit how well it plays.

every time this thread is bumped, I'm hoping it's with a Mass Effect 2/3 announcement.
Lost a shit ton of progress in Beyond Good and Evil due to falling off geometry not once, but twice. Almost want to quit.
EA open to remastering Mass Effect trilogy

I'm seriously starting to hate these shitty remaster releases, when it means we don't get the BC versions, like the Bioshock games and now ME 2/3.
Blame those that actively supports them. When I complained about remasters last time the main responses were "they don't stop making new games" and "they're made for those that missed them last gen".

People are just being cheap wanting to play the free backwards compatible version, if you cared enough you'd still have your 360. I'd choose the remastered next gen version (GTA V) with added features than the old version on 360 any day.

Wow!! Really? First off, don't call people cheap, just because they would like the choice of playing games they already own and not have to be forced to rebuy them to play on they current gen systems. I see no reason why there can't be both. People that want high-res textures and 60fps gameplay should have the choice to buy the remaster. Those that are fine with the original version they already have should also have the choice of playing it. Can people play these games on a 360 they already own, of course, but having all your games on one system is a convenience as well.

Cheap. You care that much why would you not want the best version of a game? Did people never buy the Blu Ray versions of movies they own on DVD?

I was hoping for some bigger titles to be announced during Gamescom, but nothing so far it seems.
Giff Splinter Cell Conviction and Blacklist, LA Noire, and Max Payne plis.
There is definitley a issue with my XBL profile.
I can't play any 360 games online on my Xbox One, but my girlfriend can log into her account and can play them online!
Is there a known solution to this? I tought it had something to do with beeing on a preview update, but is using the same xbox one and can play normally..
I must have the worst luck with bc games.
Red Dead Redemption crashed a few times, had audio bugs.
Stick of Truth crashed and also had audio bugs.
Beyond Good and Evil has crashed on me several times, also fallen through geometry a few times.
