Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Thread: Everyone wants it, no one uses it

Do you guys have the same problem as me? I can't go online Grid2 and Dirt Showdown (x360 emulator isn't connecting with xbox live)
I can log in to xbox live on the Xone but not in the x360 emulator.

Two days ago I was in a lobby. The main issue is, that I can't connect to xbox live while playing x360 games on the Xone.

Well I just got on Showdown, connected to Xbox Live, got into lobby, was searching for players but empty, so seems to work for me

It happens to me when connected wireless. If it's possible, try wired.

Great. The only way I can go online is wireless, because the router is on the otherside of the flat...
Then I have to wait two more weeks till I am in the new apartment...

Anyone have this issue...Downloaded SSX yesterday through the EA vault. First backwards compatible game I have played and after like 30 minutes of playing, it Lags, freezes, bugs out..then it cuts out the audio entirely.

The home menu of the xbox one s still has the sound but any other game I both doesn't have audio. Until I do a console reboot.

Works fine for me. I have been playing since it was BC. I got it last year when it was free as GWG title. Did you install it to an external HD or the internal HD? I find X360 titles some times work better off the internal hard drive.

When the game glitches, do you go to the Xbox home screen, move the selection box to SSX and then press the MENU button and select Quit? That's supposed to kill the application, though, as with Windows, it's sometimes not possible to do so.

Hey everyone!

Has anyone tried compared 360 games on the Xbox One S?

Does it perform better?

I am asking because I hate how some 360 games run on Xbox one. Especially Gears of War, Rainbow Six (5 frames per second) run on Xbox one?

Thank you!

This video doesn't go through every game but it gives a good idea of some of the improvements a few of the BC games receive running on XBOX S.

All internal! I hope it's just a weird bug and not my console causing it?

Yes I do! I quit out of the application..then I'll go play tomb raider for example and even the audio in THAT game doesn't work.

It fixes itself once I reset my console. It's bizarre

I see Lego Pirates of the Caribbean got updated too (same build as the racing games, 1.0.1608.40217). Seems WAY smoother now than when I played through it.

Out of the 51 Xbox 360 games currently on my Xbox One, there are only 8 that haven't been updated between June and now: Aegis Wing, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed II, all four Gears of War games, and Halo Reach. All 8 were lasted updated in January (well, Aegis Wing was actually released in January and has never been updated).

Take from that what you will.

Interesting. I wonder how they went about doing this.

Moreover, I wonder if this opens the door for them to provide Kinect game support through the xbox one Kinect.

As whiterabbti said, the kinect info is too different to support it.

But other simpler peripherals could now add support for 360 games..

I have a download code for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided as well as the Missing Link DLC to give away. If someone wants it, quote this or message me.

Really hope they add the Splinter Cell games at one point. Would love the play Blacklist. Missed it on 360 when i still had one.

Me too!!! I even bought Double Agent and Conviction (both cost me only 6€ total) during the last sale.I had such an itch that I replayed Blacklist last week. I'm actually on the last mission. I forgot how great of a game it was.

No idea if anyone can help, but the framerate in Red Dead Redemption has gone to shit for me and I have no clue how to fix it.

It was fine up until a few days ago, when suddenly it started dropping to what seems like single figures in towns. Outside of towns it smooths out, but what happens is, it is smooth, then judders for a second or so, then goes smooth, then judders etc etc. It does it like clockwork.

I tried deleting the game and re-downloading it, which worked the first time I played it, until I had to reload a save and then it was back to being all shitty.

I have even moved the installation from an external drive to the internal one, and same thing - plays fine the first boot up, then after that goes back to being basically unplayable in towns. Very frustrating.

This seems to be an issue with the latest preview build, according to several threads on the preview forums, assuming that you're in the preview program that is?
