One time I was walking my dog and had actually picked up her god damn shit like 10 minutes prior, was like alright least that's done. Then she squats and takes another dump on this front lawn.

Just then the garage opens and this family of like 5 people are all staring at my dog dropping a hot load on their lawn. Since I had no more bags and wasn't about to pick that shit up with my hand, just had to walk off with an apology.

Actually it's terrible for the environment because it can spread organisms like worms or bacterial diseases that wouldn't otherwise be there. Then other dogs who live in the area get infected from playing in the dirt/eating grass/chewing paws or whatever and now you're spreading some infections parasite or disease all over the town.

It takes 20 seconds to do, companies make bags that are designed to be strong and odor repellent so there is no hassle for you either.

Plus i believe it is illegal not to pick it up in most cities, so there is a monetary reason in place as well.

Not only is picking up after your dog the proper thing to do, many places have bylaws that strictly say that it's required. May wanna check as you could be fined.

Luckily my dog will not take a dump off property unless it's in the woods. Even when hiking, he goes way off the trail to do his business.
