Why would Nintendo go for a unified library with NX when they can make more money selling every game twice?

Hmm, let's see, all those sales on Wii U...didn't add up to much. They're just trying to get a return on their investment and I can't blame them.

I wonder how the yarn art style will hold up to the low resolution of the 3DS. I mean, I'll be buying it anyway because the game is great (and that Poochie amiibo is adorable, my daughter will love it) but I can't see it not being severely hindered in terms of looks.

Honestly this looked good. I wanted Wooly World but didn't want to play it on the TV, since I know I wouldn't play it much. Portable is nice since it seems like a complete port. I'll pick it up
maybe

Hopefully they fix the awful framerate issues the wiiu version had.

Not interested in this, but I finished the wiiu one and enjoyed it.

Yup, double dipping. The game is a great fit for the 3DS and i need that Poochy amiibo.

Did you play it with the gamepad turned off?

Thought this too.

I missed this on wii U so I think i'll grab it.

If anything this is basically testing the waters to see how people react to console games on handhelds. Plus the 3DS was successful and the Wii U wasn't so they might as well try to get as much money as they can out of their Wii U projects.

Will buy the game AND the Poochy amiibo...

...Though I may have to buy a second Poochy amiibo for my GF, damn!

This kind of sucks. Would rather they be completely new levels.

Now it makes playing the Wii U version redundant even though the art style looks great on that platform.

Wooly World is one of a handful of Wii U games I haven't got yet.

Will still get this and Poochy Amiibo.

Reaction LiveTM:

0:01 - what
0:02 - ohhh my GODDD SO CUUUTEE
0:03 - Yoshi's Wooly World 3D!
0:04 - yay, more ports of existing games...

:| It's cute, but holy padding out your current gen lineup, Batman.

Never finished the Wii U version. That last world was kinda boring IMO.
That game was to me a massive disappointment. The platforming was mediocre and the hidden items stand on invisible stuff. Even the visuals get stale quite quickly with not much variety.

As someone who loves the Wii U version, I'm glad this game is getting a 3DS port.
More people should play this little gem. The Poochy levels seem fun to play so I hope they release those (even if they're paid) for Wii U users.

I always felt like this was a perfect fit for 3ds. At least they're trying to get the most out of their Wii U games aha I can see people buying this. Yoshi is a perfect fit for the 3ds install base

Never finished Wii U version for some reason, going to have to resist the temptation to double dip. It was fun, but there was just something missing.

I didn't like this game enough to replay twice. Part of its charm was it's gorgeous visuals on Wii U. Those visuals aren't on the 3DS version. The gameplay is pretty standard for a Nintendo sidescroller.

Hmm, I already have the yarn yoshi amiibo...should I cancel my preorder of the new $40 SKU and go for this with Poochy?...argh

I'm surprised at how good this looks on 3DS tbh.
Too bad the actual game is forgettable. I got it, hoping that it could reach the absurd creativity of Kirby's Yarn. Yet it turned out to be a completely by the numbers 2D platformer/Yoshi game that simply had yarn graphics instead of crayon, but nothing that actually stood out as a game.
