They actually feel exotic and unique

I have been using Jade Rabbit recently too, only just got it. It's badass.

Shoulder charge has always been pretty broken, so I don't mind seeing a tweak to it. It's still a one hit melee kill.

I tried leveling up New Monarchy to see if they fixed the ship drop, but either I got unlucky or they haven't fixed it.

Just got the game(probably a weird time to start, or maybe not?) and I can't decide between a Titan and Warlock. Are the playstyles significantly different or is it mostly just the supers that make up the differences?

Nerfing weapons keeps the game fresh. I'm guessing the raid is more casual friendly and bullet spongey even if it still has mechanics based upon what Bungie people have said. So if that's true then any really high DPS weapon has the potential to trivialize encounters like sleeper or ToM+Blessing etc.

But T12 wasn't possible when max light was 320, was it? What was the max prior to TTK? (I wasn't paying attention).

No, 320 only allowed T11.

Telesto is a joy. Feels super alien. Nothing in the game like it. Sleek, futuristic look, spacy sounds. Fantastic exotic.

Oh sure when you make everything old shit, everything new will comparitively be fresher. You know how they fix this problem? Make it so you cant upgrade old gear. Have a diablo system where you can get said old gear at various levels, thus preventing people from automatically having those strong exotics at the beginning of an expansion.

Or have a system like WoW and simply leave old gear behind each expansion, and have a ton of new gear available.

Ahh man, monte carlo was one of the first exotics that dropped for me and I'm sad to say that I almost never used or level it, everyone always said it wasn't a very good exotic so I just passed on it. Maybe it's time to dust that old boy boy off, the ornaments looks very cool on it.

They announced the trophies for RoI, and assuming that is all of them, they should be pretty easy to achieve... although one is classified, most of them seem to resolve around some quests.

TTK wasn't too bad to platinum, but this might be even easier.

If you plan on raiding/striking, defender is valuable.
Solo play, I preferred having a warlock. But I was leveling mine back when nightfall loss sent you to orbit.

Given that special exotic engrams are decoding to a new exotic, are we holding out hope that all exotic engrams currently saved have a chance to decode to ROI exotics? My expectation was that they'd be good light level boosters but just decode to pre-ROI stuff.

Also, how are the crucible drop rates? Maybe I will finally get my hands on an Eyesluna or Ash Factory.

Absolutely. And it's also highly useful for specialist and void burn(the orbs on multi kill just seal the deal). It's why the best exotics are ones that change the rules or are truly unique, instead of just being super powerful(Black Spindle, Truth).

Ice Breaker, Sleeper Simulant and Touch of Malice sit squarely in Telesto tier of being highly useful, unique and having really cool aesthetics. I wish they were all so good. There are still really fun and good weapons that look or play more generic like Jade Rabbit, The Last Word, Gjallarhorn, Ace of Spades, Tlaloc. The Queen's exotics are unique but have niche usefulness. Exotics are too married to their weapon type being a part of the meta when I feel they should always be unique and highly useful. Maybe exotics could be balanced differently than the same type legendaries. They have examples already in the patch notes.


I probably haven't used Patience and Time since doing Arc Burn Phogoth in Year 1. The sniper glare should be reduced to maybe 66 or 75 percent in pvp.

Probably not, it's a similar triple tap/firefly roll but I think HJ still beats it in impact/range. I grabbed it just for fun but haven't gotten to compare side by side.

I think they said yesterday they buffed the drop rate & from the little I played last night, it seems accurate. The party I was in had 3 Eyeslunas drop in back to back to back games, and I only remember playing 1 game last night where someone didn't get a legendary drop at the end.

I am cautiously optimistic. While Trespasser dropping from old engrams is a good sign, it's still possible that it's the only exotic that will drop from old engrams. We won't know for sure until 9/20.

With boot engrams decrypting to 339 max it would also seem that the max LL increase has been changed to 4 from 6. So leveling up will take a bit longer than it did with the April update.

Because of this I plan on holding onto all my packages and engrams until I at least run through the story and other activities and raise my LL up a bit by other means.

Finished my Chapperone quest last night. The Buckshot bruiser quest was actually kinda fun. i was going to finish it in strikes but decided to jump into Mayhem and saw my progress jump like 30% every time i got a buckshot bruiser medal. Just two buckshot medals and a few more solo kills and finished that part of the quest in just a game and a half.

the bond brothers werent too hard either thanks to Dez and Dthomp.

Once i get this next week along with my Ace of Spades i will only be missing the fucking Jade Rabbit. It's been a lot of fun chasing these exotics, Even the last word part once i learned not to use the last word for the quest. TTK was a really great expansion.

Lets hope they have quests for most of the exotics in ROI.

Man that update was a big one eh? My power bar, that I connected my ps4 to, decided to stop working 6 GBs into the install. So I had to restart my download after making sure I had no corrupt files. So I barely got to play last night.

It was? Broken in the sense that the hit detection was not that great? It's always been a movement tool for me, you're not going to get much kills with it. The unnecessary tweak to the animation makes it a lot worse.

In the sense that a Titan can stop his sprint, turn a corner and still Shoulder Charge for a 1 hit kill. If the effect didn't last after the sprint dropped I would have been fine with it before.
