Fuckin LOL

Seeing Packers fans mumbling their way through excuses is the salt I love tasting.

Fuck you. North is no longer yours. See you in 10-20 years when you win another QB lottery.

Lol QB lotto? You know where Rodgers was picked right?

Dom Capers is basically the Jeff Fisher of defensive coordinators

Are you saying the Packers are tanking to leave Green Bay so they hire the worst defensive coordinator in history that ran historically bad defenses leading to losing records? The Jeff Fisher of anything is historically bad so I disagree with your assessment as their defense is strong enough to keep them in playoff contention.

Adams is the only guy getting open, but he keeps dropping passes, so it's hard to bench him because he is basically the only guy getting open. Nobody is running Zone on them, which Rodgers has always been good against.

Huge problem is that Jordy basically looks like a worse James Jones from last year. Where it was very clear that he was super slow. We dont have a deep threat, and we havent had one for two years.

Their wideouts suck too much too run 4-5 of them. Those years we had Driver, Finley, Nelson, Cobb and Jones.

Right now we have Cobb and Nelson,Cobb has regressed and Nelson has tremendously regressed as well. Adams is decent, Montgomery, Abby, Janis all can't get open, they fucking suck ass.

2 of our best players are Rodgers and Cook (which is sad, but true), and Lacy works really well when he hits holes very fast. You have a FB whos apparently good enough to supplant Kuhn. We don't need bad players on the field. I'd rather have Cook on the field then one of our awful wideouts.
I don't think this is true at all.

I think the biggest difference from, say, 2011, is the o-line isn't good enough to run spread formation all the time. Add to that that our run game has never(!) been particularly useful for the passing game in the Rodgers era. We run out of power sets, while Rodgers (and our personnel) is at his best when he can spread the field and isolate matchups. End result: our passing game doesn't scare anybody when it's Lacy or Starks with 2 TEs. If you're a DC deciding what to do, when that personnel is out there, just play the run. The TEs aren't good enough to beat you (RIP HoFinley), and you take your chances that they don't burn you over the top with the lone WR.

IMO, this is why we look consistently better with Cobb or Montgomery in the backfield. We have a run option that actually complements the passing game rather than hinders it.

Long story short: McCarthy should know this, it probably doesn't matter how bad we look if Rodgers wins us 10 games like he usually does, get crap figured out by January

What I meant was that Dom Capers' defenses have a nice little habit of stepping up late in the year after sucking for a good chunk of it, just enough to preserve his job. Oh, and the 15-1 Packers had a historically bad defense under Dom Capers.

Adams is still dropping passes and last year Rodgers' QB rating nose dived on passing attempts to the guy. It doesn't matter if he's getting open or not if he's not delivering anything.

It's still way too early to say Nelson has lost a step. This is literally his second game played in over a year.

Have another drink. Gonna be a long season. This shit ain't over.

I wouldn't go that far with Jordy after two games, but if after three weeks he looks the same..yikes. packers need playmakers on both sides of the ball. That secondary for GB is looking mighty thin as well.

Pass D worries me a bit, I haven't decided if that's reasonable or not. There's still a decent chance this will be the best D we've had in years (though that's not saying a whole lot)

Reasons for optimism: front 7 is shaping up to be really really good, Haha is turning into a stellar safety.

That fucking deep throw to Nelson from the scramble. How does he do it.

I wanna see Rodgers when he's losing his arm strength. Gonna be hilarious when he hopefully tries to do that same shit.

Shields was out tonight. Our best cover guy easily. he should be back soon and if he and the rest of the D can stay healthy I think we'll be damn good on D.

Shields was out today. Hopefully it gets better when he's back. It's super frustrating when 1 WR burns us over and over and they don't give anyone help.

All we can go on is what we've seen and so far Nelson looks slow. You don't suddenly become faster after a knee wrecking injury.

Im just saying he played like garbage today, and our receivers are shit. We were once again able to throw crossing routes over the middle, but we dont do it enough. We also dont hide our playcalls very well. I havent seen a well done Play Action in forever. I havent seen a screen that hasnt been super obvious

Cook actually looked good besides that idiotic play. I mean, he caught the ball when it was near him. Rodgers also played well besides that bad holding call.

We do need a deep threat though. Unless Cobb can turn into a #1 wideout, we're stuck with bad receiving.

#PotentiallyControversialOpinion

Shields wouldn't have mattered because he's an overrated as fuck CB who gets burnt a lot too

Nelson's problem is his timing and route running. He's had a few moments in the last two games where he's gotten behind people.

Glad to see they already made a book about the 2016 Packers

Shields is a guy who will give you one, maybe two, notable plays a game but otherwise be a pretty average corner. He's never been a shutdown corner and I don't understand why he has the rep of one.

I don't think he has the rep of one from anybody besides the well-intentioned slightly-delusional Packer fan.

Shields is good, but makes a few mistakes. There are very few actual "shutdown" cbs, I dont think anyone thinks he's as good as Sherman, but he's like the Matt Ryan of CBs

Biggest takeaway for me today was state of Seattle's offense. The Rams always give them trouble, but 3 points? And one desperation TD drive against a defense that Jimmy G carved up? Seems like they may have a Packers 2015 where it never all clicks. Maybe Lynch was just that important

I'm also calling this right now - the Cowboys are going to walk into Lambeau on Oct 16 and put a whooping on the Packers.
  • Fresh young QB with no tape on him.
  • Mobile quarterback.
  • Dallas offensive line will probably neutralize the Packers defensive line, their only good spot on defense
This shit right here is the perfect storm of all of the things that have given the Packers fits for years.

There will be tape on him after a month and a half.

Naw, we didn't have Lynch most of last season and the offense caught fire. The lack of talent and injuries on the OL are killing them and they haven't figured out how to deal with it yet, it seems. Get well soon, Ifedi.

At least packers 2015 had that winning streak in the beginning of the season until people noticed they ain't shit. We ain't shit from the gate.

I think it may come together late season, at least good enough to get momentum, but the biggest weaknesses will always be there, like no talent in the offensive line and poor play calling.

Remember when the Packers & Colts were both good teams? It's been years now...

The Colts have had the same issues since Peyton Manning was drafted in 1998. Mediocre defense, a revolving door of offensive linemen (except Jeff Saturday), and a nonexistent run game. Their owner is an ignorant drunken buffoon and the organization has been in fast decline since Bill Polian was fired.

The Packers just need a coaching change. They SHOULD have had one after Seattle but like Mike McCarthy, the head office is too conservative. Maybe they'll make a change after this season. Maybe.

I know it was mentioned earlier, but this is the end of the Gus Bradley era. It's just never going to come together. Everyone seems to like him, but how many years is it going to be "wait until next year?" I think I read something that Bortles has 3 career first quarter TD throws. All his production is garbage time

Yea we have too much talent and our D still keeping our opponent to such low amount of points I don't see how we don't get 9ish wins at the very least. However for this franchise 9 or 10 wins isn't enough, after the success we have had lately. Unless something magical happens to our line we probably just be wildcard again and and falter in the playoffs.

At some point our offense is going to catch fire and at some point they will lose that fire and revert back to what everyone saw the last two weeks. They will remain inconsistent.

To be fair, JimGod is an elite, Super Bowl winning QB. Not many quarterbacks are on his level.

Russel Wilson is the best game manager in the league, but he can't manage a game without a rushing attack. The Seahawks offense was very reliant on Lynch.

Also, they were stupid and traded away a really good center for literally nothing at this stage.

Packers should try trading for Graham just to see what happens. Graham is going to struggle in a run first offense

Remember when people said that Graham is a better TE than GRONK?

How long until people began to turn on Gurley as a "star"? Dude has like a 2.7 ypc right now and averaged like 60 yards a game after those first four where he blew everyone's minds last year.

I mean, Graham in a good passing offense is deadly, you saw it. He's super tall and very athletic. Dude just can't block at all, so if you pass a lot like the saints then you're fine, but if you run the ball a lot he's useless.

Gronk is literally the best tight end in the history of the game, or at least, if I had 1 game too win, Id take him over Tony Gonzalez

You're a good man friend.

Too bad we probably won't see a face off between the best young QBs in the league on Thursday :((((
