2016 NFL Season OT - Week Two - The Dream is Dead

Still trying to figure out how GB was so bad.

Might have something to do with abandoning the run for no reason at all.

The Giants won yesterday despite being -3 in turnovers and not scoring a single offensive touchdown. The last time that happened was almost ten years ago when the Bears beat the Cardinals in 2006. Why might that game sound familiar?

Man, Green got roasted for that post-game rant but the thing is he was right.

:(

The feeling when I started Wentz over Winston this week because I was convinced to by Floyd.

Based Floyd.
You're welcome friend.. The one time you decided to not be a homer and it would have been ok.

And I beat PD.. Thank you god I didn't again because I might have just broken my phone in anger if I would have lost to him again three times in a row

First coached fired, Jay gruden?
Rex should be.

Hue Jackson.
Shut up Chuck!!

I think the days of the Redskins jettisoning a coach on the back of a poor season are gone. I could be wrong and if it gets really really bad, its certainly possibly but I think he survives the season.

My money is still on Rex. If the Bill lose to a Brissett led Pats team in week 4, all gloves are off, IMO.
Good point. It sounds like the new owners of the bills are super hands on and already going behind rex's back. Tiki and tireny also said today that Roman was fired for bad mouthing rex behind his back, he called rex a Buffoon.

Predictions for tonight? I think this is a pretty good matchup for the Eagles. Their front four should be able to get to Cutler and when you pressure him, he has a tendency to turn the ball over. On the flip side, I think Wentz will come back to Earth a little bit but he showed me enough to make me think he can at least lead the offense on a couple of scoring drives.

Eagles 23, Bears 17

Expecting Mccown to be done for a while. He's probably gonna retire after this season. Browns great Mccown 🦄🦄

Cam Erving sounding like he could possibly be gone for a couple weeks...

It's time to unleash

Look out for prophecy 2.0 in the unspecified future.....

We're gonna sign Vick aren't we BG..

I think I might die.

I hope the Browns sign my guy, Texans Legend TJ Yates. My boy Kave would be GUARANTEED two victories! #AllHeDoesIsBeatTheBengals

If Fatso is still alive he will be a better qb than Vick.

Thinking outside of the box we should send all bad people that we cannot legally prosecute to Cleveland to be the Browns qb. Cleveland will take care of the the people that are beyond the reach of the law. This will provide much needed justice and also it is a job that Cleveland is perfect for.

If Rodgers walks into the front office and says fire McCarthy, does it happen?

I'd lean towards no, but only for two reasons. First, we've never seen Ted Thompson fire a head coach mid-season. Secondly, Thompson has let Dom Capers stick around well past his expiration date so I imagine McCarthy would get the same treatment.

I say Gus like Squicken said

I think it'll be a good matchup too, but it all depends on our pass rush. Against the Browns it didn't get going until the 2nd half, fortunately the Browns weren't able to capitalize in the first half. I'm not sure that'll happen against the bears, I'm really worried about Jeffery. Kevin White too, since Jaylen Mills will be covering him. I'm high on Mills, but it's his first NFL start and he is a rookie. If the pass rush can get home and rattle Cutler early, then it should be smooth sailing. I'm confident in Wentz vs. the Bears D to put a few points on the board. My big concern is the lack of Ertz, and if Agholor can keep up last week's performance. I agree Wentz will come back to earth, I expect something like a 2 TD, 1 INT 225 yd performance. Especially because Fangio is going to bring the blitz, which Wentz was excellent against last week. I'm pretty nervous about the game, but ultimately this is a learning year for Wentz, so as long as he plays well I'm alright. I'll be more conservative:
Eagles 24, Bears 23

I'd also like to see Wentz run more. I can see limiting that at first as he learns the playbook, but doing 1 or 2 designated runs or keeping on the read option would help out the run game.

Of course he was. Were he here i'd be riding his asinine "Rodgers doesn't need receivers" rhetoric. Still, much less garbage out than in.

But back on point, yeah, I don't see Ted Thomspon ever firing a head coach mid-season unless they did something really bad. I'm still kind of surprised McCarthy survived the Seattle disaster. In my completely worthless opinion I think if the Packers win 10 or less games, and/or get one-and-done'd in the playoffs then McCarthy should probably be given the boot. This team is stacked and should be in the NFC championship game.

You need receivers to put up crazy numbers, but Rodgers should be doing better with what he has.

It is so fucking hard in the modern NFL to cover receivers over the middle. It is understandable that a great defense in its prime like a Seattle could do that, but Rodgers and co. have been pedestrian against even average and shitty defenses.

So either Rodgers is coming back down to Earth, the Packers have the worst receivers of all time, there is a real problem in the coaching or Munn's pussy curse is so strong that Green Bay will miss the playoffs and have a 10 month long winter.
