This thread is for stupid GAMING questions that don't deserve their own thread

So what's the cheapest way to play persona 4 if I don't have a ps3 or vita? I'm thinking ps tv and then buying the game on the store, that would work well right?

If Sony made a Gran Turismo game like Forza horizon, would you buy it? Would you consider it a "rip off" even though burnout Paradise did it first?

Is there a big difference between the ps3 and the vita version? I've always heard persona 4 gold adds a lot to the game but I've never really looked into it.

the thing is: there is no ps3 version. You should get a PSVita or PSTV, they are really cheap nowadays and the library is rock solid.

So I'm thinking of getting one of these:

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/accessories/headsets/stereo-headset-adapter

instead of buying a new controller, and it sounds like it will do what I want (get game audio through the controller 3.5mm plug into headphones), until I noticed this:

*For use with stereo headsets with 3.5mm audio jack, or Xbox 360 gaming headsets with 2.5mm chat cable. Game audio available in stereo headsets by connecting directly to Xbox One via optical cable or TV via RCA cables (cables not included).

This seems to contradict where it says

Any 3.5mm stereo headset (that uses the CTIA plug standard) can get stereo game audio by plugging into the adapter

I don't get it, do you need to connect it directly to the Xbox/TV via cables or not?

i'm ridding myself of the Ps4 for the pro.

I need to delete everything from the hard drive, all of it to make it look like it was all free. Is there an easy way to do that?

If I switch my PSP from a North American account to a Japanese account, can I still use all the same gave save data that I saved on my NA account?

I know you can't use downloadable games or DLC from one account on another, I'm only talking specifically about game save data.

Trying to download and play some Japanese PSP DLC in 2016 is not fun or easy.

Thanks for any answers.

You can still use those saves as long as you don't try using them with the japanese versions of the games. You shouldn't lose any data and saves aren't tied to accounts, they're just region specific.

Awesome. Thank you. The games I want to continue using the save data from are actually already Japanese (the Hatsune Miku: Project Diva games). I just want to download the DLC for them using my Japanese PSN account on my PS3 and then transfer the DLC to my PSP and use them in the games without losing all the game progress I've already made since I know I'll have to switch accounts on my PSP as well to use them.

And it sounds like that's all very doable so it shouldn't be a problem. Thanks again for the quick reply.

I preordered COD:IW digital legacy edition, but only IW is showing up in my library. Is this normal? Or should I be seeing Modern Warfare Remastered as well?

Well since MW is digital only even with IW retail I imagine when you get the Legacy version it'll open up into a separate page with 2 separate downloads. But for now it'll just be listed as one as it's just almost a placeholder.

I hope so... I'm planning on playing through MW's campaign before getting into IW.

K, so, Shadow of Mordor. I started it but I'm kinda stumped on what to do. Whenever I kill a captain I get swamped by ~20 orcs who kill me, so what am I supposed to do. Just run away after I have killed the captain?

I think the best course of action is to just stop playing. That's what I did and it worked out great.

Early on without that many runes on weapons and abilities it gets hard to stay alive against a few chiefs and lots of orcs, specially if you dont have a rune that gives you life after each kill or something.

Just run away if you already killed the target you were after.

There will be a moment when you will be so OP that no matter how many orcs the game throws at you because you will be an unstopable killing machine, one day I think I killed like in the hundreds or something just for fun, I love the combat system.

I've never played a Halo game. If I bought an Xbox One S, would I be able to play most of the games on it? Or are there certain ones that were lost to time?

Master Chief Collection has Halo 1, 2, 3, 4 and ODST. 5 is obviously native to Xbone, and Reach and Halo Wars can be played through backwards compatibility. I think that's the lot of 'em!

I have the first Yo-kai Watch game. Is there any reason to play it or should I just jump straight into 2 (I mean, besides the fact that I already own it ;p) ? Like, with Pokemon games I'd still play the older ones because it's a different region, different gyms/Elite 4, etc., even if they have less pokemon to catch. Anything like that for YW?

Same question for Fire Emblem: Awakening and Fates. I have Awakening but I could borrow Fates. In this case I guess they have different stories and Awakening is still worth playing?

YW1 is good but 2 is a vast improvement and a big portion of the game takes place in the same location as 1. 2 also spends some time kind of doing a retread of the first game's story and quests, so if you really don't mind not playing 1 despite owning it, just jump right into YW2; it's the better one and starting with it will make reused locations feel fresh.

Is it possible to use the old ps3 eye camera as a webcam on windows 10? It used to work on win 7 and the drivers I found online installed nicely and I could see and hear myself within the test program and in skype, as long as I don't make a call... Then only sound works.

If I've sold a Wii U 6 months ago and then bought a new one can I contact Nintendo and transfer the nnid over and retrieve my digital purchases again like I did with a new 3ds?

I visit my brothers house and would like to play Destiny with him while he plays on his main console in the living room.

Is it possible for me to:
  1. Buy Playstation TV
  2. Tether it to my personal home console
  3. Take it to my brothers house
  4. Use his wifi and use PSTV on his spare television
  5. Play my Destiny character on it via remote play while he plays his character on his own set in the same house?

Edit: just checked, that only works with local wifi (a PS4 in the vicinity), plus the lag would be atrocious.

Any idea why Diablo 3 runs like this for me? Had the exact same problem with Grim Dawn.
