Angry Birds has a UHD + 3D Pack in the USA, it's how it should be done. I think I saw Ghostbusters 2016 was considering this too.
Yeah as expensive as these are they should include the 3D BD when available.

I'm pretty sure 3D got dropped in the move to 4K Blu Ray disks, so if they were to include it, it would have to be on a standard Blu Ray.
If a 3D version of the movie exists, and you are selling a version of the movie with Blu-ray, digital, UHD, etc, just include the 3D version. Not asking them to make more 3D movies, just allow me to buy one copy of a movie with everything included, like I used to with the combo packs for 3D movies. Many of th TV manufacturers are dropping 3D altogether, so I can't see 4K 3D movies being well supported
Holy crap 45 bucks! Why is it so expensive? It doesn't even come with the 3D version.
P.S. I hate that most UHD re-releases don't include 3D versions right now. I think I've only noticed one so far that actually does. I don't want to have 2 copies on my shelf at this point with a 3D Blu-Ray sitting next to the UHD version. You'd think that for 45 bucks they could afford to include it... =P
Hrmmm... I wonder which retailer you work for? This is an incredibly helpful post. However, I have some followup questions.
I work at a popular electronics retailer wherein you are able to get the best buy for your money, and my coworkers have told me that the Vizios we put out for display don't last nearly as long as the other models we display, often failing within several months. Has anybody else experienced these longevity issues, or is that solely based on the intense conditions of display TVs?
If they really are working on the HDR/4K gaming input lag, that's really promising. Honestly, I'm a console player and not a framerate savant, so I don't see myself noticing it that much anyways, but the piece of mind of knowing that I'M bad at games and that it's not my TV dooming me to suck at Overwatch would be helpful.
I sent a service email to Vizio Support and I'll call tomorrow to ask.
I think if I go Vizio, I'll stick to 50" and not 55", because the stand on the LG I have right now but am going to return (it has a distinct graininess in dark pictures that can not be fixed in settings and which has puzzled my coworkers who professionally calibrate TVs) barely fits on the surface it's on as it is.
If the Vizio had built in smart capability, a tuner, and didn't require Cast, I think it would be a far easier choice, but for some reason the thought of wasting $120 on a Roku Premiere+ that will become obsolete in 4 months is really bothering me. Anyone know a cheaper 4K HDR streaming solution?
I can't go by any personal experience, but users on AVSForum that own the 55" have said that the inks aren't as inky black as the VA panels, but they are still quite good. Their reasoning is that the FALD helps tremendously. Also, see the first reply to your post. A bias light is a fantastic idea, no matter the panel. However, I wouldn't suggest an overly bright room for the P-Series. They shine a whole light brighter (pun intended) in darker settings. You may have actually talked me into the P-series now. I want a 55" though as it will work best for my setup, and I've been worried about the IPS panel. Is there really that big of a difference?
Looks like LG got the picture (no pun intended) regarding HDR in game mode.
"Just got off the phone to LG UK and they have confirmed that they will be releasing an update to enable HDR in game mode within the next couple of months! They couldn't tell me any more specifics, such as whether it is likely to effect input lag, but it is satisfying just to know they are working on it. Fingers crossed"

Hello thought I would share an interesting story about my OLED adventure.
So I'm a college kid and shouldn't be spending money I don't have on OLED displays but I caved and purchased a used EG9600 55" off amazon for $1640. I was happy thought I got a great deal. So the seller on amazon contacted me the next day and apologized but he said that display was no longer in stock and offered me a brand new C6P for the same price as an awesome apology! So I happily accepted but the story continues. So the display comes about a week later and its the most awesome thing I had ever experienced. I was trying silly things out like playing smash in 3d (input lag was terrible) and then just normal gaming, when all of sudden my entire screen glitched and the display just shut off and wouldn't turn back on. So I contacted LG and they sent a repair guy out who replaced a few parts in the tv and he was unable to fix the glitching and the display still cut off after a few seconds. So he figured something went wrong with the screen at this point and I was either going to be offered a replacement screen or a brand new set. So about a week passed and LG's RA department contacted me asking for proof of purchase. I sent them my receipt for EG9600 and explained the story. So about a week after this they contact me to offer me a refund. I really wanted the tv so I asked can we just replace it. So apparently the C6P was out of stock so they offered me the E6 as a trade off. So after many weeks of weird mishaps I have a brand new 55" E6 on the way for $1640. Has anyone else experienced any odd glitches with their 2016 OLED sets?

I had to choose between an IPS and VA panel for my family TV, which is located in a reasonably bright room where people view from the sides.
I have a Pioneer Kuro for gaming an and old Pioneer Elite rear-projection that's been kept up for critical viewing. I like my blacks and motion.
The IPS was my choice for family viewing and it was absolutely the right call. The blacks are better than gray, but they are nowhere near what I'd want for a home cinema room. As long as you have a decent amount of ambient lighting for most viewing, and/or wide angles are important then it's the right call. When I do watch at night it makes me sad.
You can always add bias lighting if needed.
I picked up a 60" Samsung KS8000 from Best Buy this weekend. While watching HDR content, in this case Daredevil, I noticed a small constant strobe from an LED. This was precisely in the bottom rightmost corner. It as incredibly distracting and combined with some other factors (box had been opened, one of the legs wouldn't secure) ended up exchanging it for another of the same model.
This is still present, but far less noticeable on the newer set. Since Daredevil is the only thing I could find on Netflix that is HDR and not cropped, I can't be sure if its just the show, or the TV itself. I have not noticed it on any other 4K content between my game consoles, Amazon Video, Netflix, YouTube, etc.
Anybody have any idea what this is or any suggestions for things to try for comparison?
Aside from this, the TV is really great and hope this doesn't serve as a deterrent for other people interested in it.
I felt the same way. I even hooked up my Kuro Elite Pro-111fd right next to my P65-C1 when I first got, just to make sure I wasn't downgrading. Suffice it to say, the Vizio passed. :-oI ordered the Vizio P50-C1 last night for delivery this week. I'll give it a shot, despite how much it hurts going from a Pioneer plasma to a Vizio .. anything.

I guess part of the thing that bothers me isn't some feeling of low quality, etc. It's more that I feel Vizio is at least partially responsible for the race to the bottom that the TV industry went through. I mean I'm glad that they are producing some quality displays now, but I can't help but think what we'd be watching if Pioneer (and others) had more incentive to remain in a healthy market.
I noticed this too, but only in Daredevil, it seems something to do with how it was mastered maybe?
What are the chances that Panasonic's next OLEDs might have a competitive price range against LG's? "Low" to mid end models like the B6? So far there is a 65" TV at 9000 and a 2017 prototype. I am hoping that competition will decrease OLED pricings.
Decided to buy a tv next month. What seems to be the better set, KS8000 or the Vizio P series? I noticed the P series was all the rage a few months ago but I see a lot of people on this thread talking about the KS8000

P series is currently sub optimal for HDR gaming, since the dedicated HDMI port can't receive HDR signals and the other ports introduce 60+ ms of lag. I think the TVs are more or less equal outside of that aspect, however.
I have a Samsung 60" Plasma (PN60F5300) and the image quality is great, but I'm tired of the lack of brightness and the reflection...
I don't know what to do. I don't want to spend money on TV again but the low brightness of the screen is really annoying.
Click through the past few pages. I've posted extensively about the P-Series. You should be able to glean a lot more information from them.Decided to buy a tv next month. Thanks, that makes the choice pretty easy I guess.
Man, my 2009 Panasonic Plasma was a glare/reflection magnet. Couldn't use the damn thing during the day.
That's why I love my E6, one of the best anti-reflective filters I've ever seen.

Finally have my settings finalized on my E6. Really takes a lot of tweaking to get it just right, moved over to ISF Bright with a combo of settings online that work for me.
The next firmware patch is supposed to fix HDR gaming so I'd hold off before making a purchase.

And they are not the only company. We should see some updates soon about input lag from at least one company within a month or sooner.

Best buy has a sale this week on 4k bluray, buy one get one 50% off.![]()
Great deal, though unfortunately Pacific Rim is so sold out online that you can't even attempt to order it anymore, and no stores within 250 miles have it in stock...
Oh also, I was looking at the 4K movies and damnit, once again The Martian 4K and 3D versions, with no bundled version. Each version individually has its main 4K/3D disk, regular blu-ray copy, and a digital copy, but no version with all the versions bundled together. Oh and all the digital copies with 4K movies are apparently just regular HD not 4K.
Two downsides are edge lit and only support for HDR 10. The later being a deal breaker for me. Not bashing Sony or Samsung.. They make great sets, but to spend that kind of money and have an HDR format (dolbyvision) unsupported seems a bit ridiculous. Why not the Sony X850D? Best color, motion and processing of all three options. Android OS is choice.
There's also a sales promo this week at BB where it's Buy 1 UHD, Get 1 50% off. I'm waiting on a small chance of a restock myself :lolAmazon has it in stock now. It's more expensive, but perhaps they will price match best buy? I have the 4k blu ray, and it's a stunner, to be sure.![]()
According to thedigitalbits, TV manufacturers are dropping 3D support until they have auto stereoscopic sets ready (no glasses 3D) because that's what they think will make 3D sell. I saw a video demoing this tech years ago-- where multiple people could watch 3D on the same tv. I'm sure we'll see a return to 3D sets and movies in a few years. They are gonna need something to sell us on after 4K and HDR anyway. Many of th TV manufacturers are dropping 3D altogether, so I can't see 4K 3D movies being well supported
