Since the starting town is Hauori City, I'm guessing that you start at/go to the Honolulu expy before going to the village location to get your starter which seems kinda interesting. Reminds me a bit of D/P/Pt where you don't really own your starter until you go to Sandgem Town. I do kinda wonder how they'll handle that though since we do know you pick your starter there, whereas you still picked it right outside your starting town in Gen IV
I thought that might be the case, but Illima sounds like a more feminine name so I kinda just went with that.
Two things I really don't like about Jangmo-o's evolution:
#1 Its circles on circles on circles on circles. It looks incredibly awkward in the artwork, and I'm not optimistic it'll look better as a 3D model.
#2 Its color palette. I'm okay with the grey, yellow, and black from the first two forms but the last stage just looks dull. Yellow and grey isn't really meshing really well here, and it feels like they could've gone further with the red (maybe some on the tail?).
Type: Null looks fine, though. It's basically mini-Arceus.
Edit: Okay, my color issues with the design are largely due to the scan's poor colors. I still think the dangly bits will look poor in-game (ala Mudsdale).

I feel like the pallette should've swapped tbh like...
Jangmo-o is mostly gray with a gold heart scale, then Jarango is a mix of the two (like it is), but with Jararanga, have the gold become the main color of it's pallette and use the silver as an accent.

I am very unsure of what Jararanga's design cue is. GOAT typing though.
Yeah, his color palette didn't change very much despite damn near everything else changing from Jarango to the final form. You'd think an eyecatching design like that would deserve a more interesting color treatment.

I really like Jangmo-o's evolution, but I'm a sucker for dinosaur like Pokemon. Nulls evolution is awesome as well. Both possible team members.

Yea. And a Grass/Dragon that's not an alt form of an existing Pokémon. Same with Fairy/Dragon.
What's wrong with Grass/Dragon Exeggutor? It's not a form change form, it's as legit and standard as a new Pokémon
So I tallied up some stuff:

It's definitely looking like Gen VII is bigger than Gen 6, but I don't think you can definitely say for sure how much bigger it's going to be based on this and I'm not really sure you can trust any rumor
. The fact that we have another info dump on Friday means we'll probably get one or two more Pokemon, but I think that might be it for the dumps after this next one.
If I had to speculate on which new Pokemon are still going to evolve I'd probably pick Komala, Salandit, Wimpod, Minior, and Morelull.
- We currently know of 59 new Pokemon (Alola forms discluded from count)
- Only 50 have been officially revealed, 9 of them are only known through common knowledge or small slips
- X/Y had officially revealed 41 Pokemon (Mega forms discluded from count)

I just want to see these types executed in a unique design from the ground up, and not something attached to an already existing Pokémon.
Like they could have given us a Dragon/Fighting Alolan Dragonite and called it a day, but I find Jangmo-o's line far more exiting as an execution of that type since it was designed with that typing in mind from the get go.

Well, Silvadi seems to be a legitimate cyborg (hence the memory). I think that would make it pretty distinct in a different way.
TBH, I much preferred Gen V of Gen 6's designs, but Gen VII's got the same vibe for me as Gen V where any of them I haven't liked or loved, I only got an "eh" vibe for it as worst.

I think Jangmo-o's evolution, although I already like it, is really going to benefit from seeing it animated in 3D.

I like the Jangmo-o line. It looks pretty good and it's typing is neat.
I also like how the armor aspect of its design is not expressed in its typing but in its abilities.
The 3D model will probably be stunning, with top tier jiggling animation for the scale armor.

Jangmo-o wasn't a pokemon that interested me initially but after seeing it's line and considering it's typing, I'm fully onboard with this dude. Can't wait to see the 3D model.
Type:Null's evolution on the other hand loses a lot of the character of the original. It looks like a Digimon. Absolutely love the design for Type:Null, but the evolution disappoints.

The Jangmo-o line looks interesting. I'm guessing it's this gen's pseudo-legendary?
If it is, then it's another example of serious pattern breaking. Not a single form of a Psuedo has been pre-release before, let alone the whole line.
Personally, I really hope it's not because we have enough Dragon Psuedos as-is and GF seems to be phasing Dragons's image as the top tier type out so that they can use them more liberally
History would suggest otherwise since the others were never revealed prior to the game's release.

The dragon looks really good it's nice to have a cool looking pseudo legendary again. Type nulls evolution looks very nice also, I'm so hyped for this game it makes me feel like when i played my first pokemon games Silver and Gold years ago. This game is gonna be a gem.

There's no ride quite like the one we take every time a new pokemon generation is announced. I'm definitely looking forward to this one a lot more than I was ORAS or XY, even the features and QoL stuff being introduced is hyping me up.
