I hope it isn't too far in because I really can't stand their default clothing anymore. idk if you're joking or not but nah, the sole is as black as the rest of the the boot. the actual dirt is brown and stands out on both the black and red.

I mean, it's because it's been such a long time, three years is awhile in the gaming industry. People expecting set pieces and visuals like this are gonna be really disappointed. So they sorta did debut it with footage that isn't feasible in realtime. Followed by this PC tech demo which featured much higher poly models and higher quality shaders and ofc this trailer which showed off footage before optimizations so again they had those higher poly models, much more foliage, better lighting, way more npcs than what will appear on screen. Game won't live up to the 2014 visuals and I very much doubt Square is willing to invest into the engine after the release of this game based on how much they're investing in UE4. It's a good looking game. But there was a time where I said it would be the best looking open world game at release. :/

Even in the indented part of the sole, you have these raised ridges. They're slightly redder due to dirt/soot/mud/w.e. it is being rubbed off.

After playing Platinum Demo, I've always wanted to make a thread talking about its merits. I knew it would get absolutely shitted on though, so I never bothered.
The stuff that I found appealing in Platinum Demo is actually completely independent from FFXV the final game. I really enjoyed running around with an animal companion and discovering things around you.

Well, one of the biggest complains about the FF XV was the battle system, and World of has the classic one...and sometimes XV gets a lot of hate here on GAF
