Overwatch Sombra ARG - No one is ready for Sombra [Up2: New Model Leaks]

Lol, do you even speak spanish? It says Unidad Bastion E-54, that's feminine. And it doesn't even matter if its comprometida or comprometido, it all depends on the gender of the noun.

Verbs don't have gender specifics....... El/ella are the same conjugation.

Comprometer the verbs is different than comprometida the adjective.

I can and will complain about it right now. Because it really isn't difficult for Blizzard to issue some sort of official statement that there'll be something coming to PTR or post a reveal blog or something.

After about 2 months of waiting for this bullshit countdown to end, I expect something more substantial than a cryptic line about Bastion. Especially from a big corporation like Blizzard.

Calling this leading-on an "ARG" is disingenuous as well.

That's why I'm saying we should wait a bit longer today, because Bliz still hasn't given us any kind of update for the day, and they usually do. Everyone was in here frothing within 5 minutes of the countdown ending, even though updates/dev comments haven't rolled out. I find that more than a bit silly.

What if they just cut out the middle man and don't bother with putting Sombra on the PTR

Considering that leak said she'd be "hacking into the build"

I'll quote myself:
It is an adjective, but it isn't only used for engagements, can also mean the exact same thing as comprometido. For fucks sake, I'm a native Spanish speaker, IT IS CORRECT.

Edit: In Spanish, the participle of a verb, like comprometido, can be used as adjectives, and are gendered in both cases, verb and adjective.
Life for examp`le, if you canted to say "She's been compromised", it'll be "Ella ha sido comprometida", it's a verb, and has gender. Exact same thing with the adjective, which can mean both being engaged, both males and females, and compromised.

Funnily, that something is actually nothing.

We're mostly arguing about the "comprometida" word :(

They had nearly 2 months of prep time for this. There really isn't ANY excuse for not having anything prepared for the end of the countdown. Absolutely none.

I think Blizzard is just trying to force a meme of a cryptic text in spanish.

Memes are basically free publicity. I'm not sure if Blizzard needs any more publicity, but to me it just seems like forcing a meme on a gaming community.

"What's a Sombra?" "Oh shit, yeah, we did have a countdown thing didn't we..." "Why did it end so soon? It was supposed to go until Blizzcon!"

Unless there is. Shit happens in game dev. Maybe they added something to the build last week that was buggy and they needed to fix it instead of just pushing it out. Maybe there was red tape somewhere. We don't know. But saying there "isn't any" excuse is not accurate at all unless we know the full details of what's going on. And announcing, "Hey Sombra's coming, but something happened so it won't be today" would still result in just as many people being as upset as they currently are.

Lol. yeah, what the heck man. I just don't get it. I mean, a 2 month countdown after another anticlimactic countdown, and not a single thing to show.

the thing that pisses me off about this the most isn't that they're taking so long with this countdown, it's the precedent that this is going to be how long the gaps are in between new content

the game is full priced (on console), they said from the start all post-launch content would be free, they're a huge company with tons of resources, make bank on micro-transactions for the game and so far it's almost the end of the year and all they have to show for it is 1 new hero and 1 new map.

And 2 seasonal updates plus extras.

I think they tried to use comprometida as engaged but it means you are engaged to someone.

Committed would mean you are committed to something when using the word.

This is wrong.
Every bad hero URL goes to this page.

For all Blizzard has said this might actually be real with nothing on it

that's the joke. :(

guys relax.

Getting upset on the internet solves nothing. Sombra will be released when its time. The ARG has lived past its usefullness for sure....but to keep getting mad only serves to frustrate you more.

there will be a thread when she is finally released. You will find out then.

Then they could come out and say something about it. Seriously, it's not difficult. If they added something to the build last week, then they had a whole week of making a blog post saying that they still need more time. Or just make an official statement of "we will have something for you soon, stay tuned!".
This cryptic dancing around the bush going "teehee, we're so clever!" only makes everyone furious.

That's my take on this, basically.

And 2 seasonal updates plus extras.

Neither of which are permanent content as they are time limited content for few weeks per a year. New content more or less is 1 hero, 1 map and few skins for Rein. I like event stuff and skins they add, but I don't view them as meaty content additions because of time limits on them.

This might make sense to say to the folks on reddit. It doesn't seem like anyone here is losing their shit.

This is true, but it goes both ways too. The fact that shit happens is why companies proooobably shouldn't put teases like this out there until everything is in the can.

I would use "Ella se ha comprometido" to say "she has been compromised" as "Ella ha sido comprometida" could also mean that "she been engaged"

One is more clear to me than the other but we will agree to disagree.

I double checked with people that I work with from Mexico and we all agree that the first way would be the best way in this context.

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Moving on.

I meant to clarify that post further in what I was trying to get across. My bad.

Anyways end of discussion on this.

On topic: I really hope they don't drag this out until Blizzcon :(

I have seen absolutely none of that at all. It's all people projecting on Blizzard and trying to make them a bunch of trolls.

I agree. But saying there is no excuse is taking it a bit too far. It isn't like blizzard is trying to troll everyone, and to suggest something like that is silly. It doesn't make any sense at all from any perspective as a business.

No, fuck that, for once let being a vocal minority works so that Blizzards knows that this fucking ARG things and overhyping their new heroes is bullshit.

Pretty sure they got the memo by now.
