I expect more like a reveal of the form factor, the final name (duh), maybe 1 new game and probably a date of when more news are coming. From what I gather by the comments made about it so far there are more news next week already.

1. They will reveal the system's appearance

2. It's name and the concept, how it works and what makes it cool

3. They will show zelda. (she doesn't say there will be other games, and doesn't say there won't.)

There will be other information coming shortly thereafter, including a spec sheet (I think she said before the weekend)

She also said there were 3 devs that she knew of waiting for NX reveal to announce games for it very soon afterward. Maybe even the same day.

But this one has Nintendo games. Nevermind the fact that this scenario would have it selling for the same price as a far more powerful console that was released months earlier and already has an expansive library (plus a VR solution for anyone who cares).

A $399 price point seems absolutely batshit insane to me. I just can't wrap my head around how any of what's been speculated would come near justifying that.

No sizzle reel of upcoming titles, no proof of concept demo game, no Mario, no specs, no price. They'll show off the system and the controllers and they'll show someone playing Zelda with it as a demonstration of 1) how it works and 2) any visual enhancements.

Shocking Alberto mentioned he and Emily were debating if it was gonna be Mario or Zelda shown but the other girl that helped blow the lid off of everything detailed pretty tidily what's gonna happen and she said just Zelda, so I'm gonna keep my expectations at the three things listed above and anything else will just be happy bonuses.

I'm extremely excited for this!!!! Being a Nintendo fan, I'm hyped!!!

I see a lot of talk of RDR2. I highly doubt it will come to NX, but didn't Rockstar have a prototype of GTA V on Wii U at one point (before the sales numbers came in)?

If not tomorrow, I doubt Rockstar will ever announce anything for NX, but it's an interesting coincidence that they're releasing the trailer at the same time
 
You are expecting too much from today, to me it'll be already a lot if we get the final name of the console and the shape of it, that's it, i think this teaser will be to announce the date of the reveal, which will be likely next week, there we'll find out about, specs, features, games and perhaps price.

it's especially insane if this thing is really supposed to be some kind of hybrid successor to both the 3DS and the Wii U. The 3DS sales stalled at $249. They'd be throwing their most bankable audience away launching at anything more expensive than that.

Which outlet said it would be cheaper than we'd expect? I'd prolly be getting the system no matter what, but at $300+ it sounds like a tough sell for others. Even if it is hybrid, many don't want to pay an extra premium because of it.

If they use a 3 minute trailer just to reveal the shape of the console-thing and its name, after all this crazy speculation, I may throw a rock through my monitor.
 
Honestly, I feel both PS4 Pro and Project Scorpio look extremely boring, so I am sooo ready for a new Nintendo system.

Make me excited about gaming again, N. I'm ready for you.

right. but they gotta grow out of just being it's own niche (a very popular niche tho) and getting back into the multiplatform game as well.

imagine if they could push the idea of the convenience of playing console-quality fifa away from your tv when you want to kick it in another room.

Yeah but they don't really care too much about this I don't think. Most of those sales are default to PC/PS4/X1. I do think that RDR2 being revealed tomorrow as well as NX is no coincidence, however.

I've been repeating over and over again in the latest 3 weeks that we would have something today, because Paper Mario was released in Japan one week ago, and they would wait at least one week to reveal the new console.

I made a bet with my friend, and I won!!!

Whatever, my expeculation was just nothing but coincidence. I feel weird now, first time in my life that I have guessed something in an event of this type, haha.

7 hours people!! 7 hours!!

Sure, it's just weird for Nintendo. Like most of these multiplat popular franchises... they had some of them on Wii U at launch like AC, COD, ME3 and so on but it didn't help because nobody gave a shit about them being on it.
