This thread is for stupid GAMING questions that don't deserve their own thread

My kids are playing on the computers and my 11 year old asks

What are dick butts?

Before I can answer my 8 year old pipes up

They are just penises on butts.

Were they just online, or playing a game?

Has anyone had experience with their PS4 not letting them access the store, or download things from the library?
It's been a problem since before the update that added the new quick menu, and it's super annoying.

Why are the games of this generation so bright these days? honestly I hate HDMI and 4k. No atmosphere when you look at this. Its all flashy and shit
. I mean I play Shenmue 1 and 2 on Dreamcast using RF coaxial cable instead of VGA at 720p because and that shit is OLD

No problems here.

Have you rebuilt the data base and restored licenses?

That seems to fix some similar issues.

Edit : having a static ip address and forwarding the PS4's preferred ports might help.

I've got port forwarding set up, and I think I have a static IP too, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I'm on a wired connection, which is at 69 down 5 up when I ran a test a few minutes ago.

How do I go about rebuilding the database and restoring licences, and will i lose anything , like screenshots and saved video clips by doing this?
Thanks for the reply though.

Does playing 360 games via XB1 backwards compatibility offer an improved experience? I still have my 360 but if games are supposed to perform better on XB1, I need to start playing my old games on the new hardware

For the most part yes, ms recently updated their emulation and now games in general run as good or better on Xbox 1 I believe

Well, port forwarding won't work without a static IP being set up. When you forward ports it's for a specific device.

Rebuilding data base and restoring licenses options are in the settings somewhere, not near my PS4 now so can't check. They have zero effect on your content.

If you haven't tried rebuilding the database yet I bet that might do the trick.

Actually demos (aside from special ones) don't even really count as "owned" on the eShop. They don't show up in your download list at all.
They do show up in my balance history and also in the NAcc one.
The point is that they don't show up if you actually go to the list of games you own. The transaction history isn't all that relevant for that use case.
Here-here, fairy nuff, should of considered that.

Bringing consoles on aeroplanes.

Would one have to bring the console as cabin luggage or would it be OK as checked luggage?

Anyone experienced with this?

Alright thanks.
I just checked and apparently it's in safe mode, which you seen to get to from the same way as you do the PS3. I'm just glad it doesn't delete things, because I have like 120GB of videos saved on it DX.

I definitely must have done a static ID then. I remember following a guide that meant nothing to me and setting stuff up with my router when I got my Ethernet cable, because when I first plugged it in with the default settings it was putting me at NAT 3.

That's a shame regarding the demos. Considering Sony made the change to remove 0% games from the trophy lists, I assumed they had fixed this too as the issue is basically the same.

I have a ton of experience with this I always carry on I don't want want those baggage checkers stealing my stuff! You don't have to take it out the bag during screening though.

Does anyone have experience with possessed ps4 controllers? Like the controller will turn even after you take your finger off the stick? I've had this happen on all 3 of my controllers but changing controllers seems to solve it

I know there was a talk about this a few years back but... Are we going to see a Mass Effect Trilogy Remastered now that Andromeda is almost upon us? I'd really like to play through those games on PS4, a collection like the Uncharted one would be amazing... I could even accept a straight port with some minor adjustments, it doesn't need to be another MWR to satisfy me... Please, someone make it happen!

Question: Is Agent still a thing? Was it EVER a thing?

--------------------------------------------------------------

Hey 3Dprinted, I just finished ME3 last night (no, really). I gave up waiting on a remastered trilogy and/or any sales on Mass Effect DLC :( But you never know, remasters are a pretty popular way for studios to grab some extra dough lately.

I decided to go binge on games for the holidays since Black Friday was coming up. Best Buy allows me to return games since they qualify for the holidays, so I'm keeping them sealed for now in case anything comes up.

However, I have two games with a Day One Edition: World of Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest Builders. I'm not sure whether or not there are DLC codes inside that could expire this year, so I have to ask:

Is there an expiration date to the Day One DLC codes for World of Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest Builders? If so, when?

How difficult is FF8 on level 1? I know the game gets rougher then higher up you go, but is it the same for a lvl 1 run? Do you need guides for it to survive?

Enemies scale with your level, so as long as you abuse the junction system you should be fine.
I usually go for 100 of everything as soon as possible, but iirc, you get exp for every battle you complete, unless you card everything that moves? Are there other tricks to avoid exp?

Is the Dead Kings dlc for Assassin's Creed Unity meant to be a proper storyline sequel or something similar to the "what if" scenario from AC3? I felt it was really weird playing it and finding out who the villain was.

I'm missing the outlet cable for my PS Vita AC adapter. Is there anywhere I can find a replacement without buying another adapter? Its a two-pronged outlet cable and the end that inserts into the adapter has two holes but I'm not sure how to find one online.

Hey Gaf. I'm thinking about trading in my og PS4 for a Pro. If I do the 'restore default settings' would that be enough to cover my ass? Because there is another option that says 'Initialize' but doing a full init. Takes several hours, according to the full option message. Would the later be a better option? I just don't want to be vulnerable to some random person accesing any of my private info. Thanks!

Some people brought up Soul Reaver in a thread recently and it made me realize i really need to play the series again. Is the Dreamcast or PC the definitive version of the original, and if PC is there anything extra i need to be on the look out to get the most out of it?

I recommend the full initialize. It nukes everything from the hdd and deactivates your console from your account, so you can make the pro your primary console.

I played a good chunk of the GOG version a few years back with supersampling so it looked real crisp. The controls were a bit awful (no mouse look) but it seemed like a great version of the game.
