Watch_Dogs 2 |OT| .HTML

Right after he game I started a side mission. That one was pretty hard. It mentioned that I can do those together with an online partner. I hope those get easier later on.

Once i woke up in my underwear i went around for about 2 hrs doing all the scoutX stuff and getting research points. My objective is still to buy new pants.

I don't know what it is but something about all the Ubi collectathon stuff speaks to me.

Is there a way to turn off the reticule when driving and walking around? What about the white beam that highlights objects? It's annoying as shit when driving. I tend to get distracted by it and crash lol.

Only reticule I can find in the settings is for when aiming with a weapon.

These are the same issues I have. Shocked there isn't a crouch button at the very least.

They really should add that crouch button if only so I stop getting noticed when I get out of cover in Online Invasion mode because my character stands straight the hell up.

No clue- didn't read it. Just marked when release day started (this was back before new OT rules so thread was already over 150 pages) and by 4pm that afternoon there were 25 new pages.

Very happy with the positive impressions here and looking forward to the PC release in 2 weeks but no doubt the release seems incredibly muted.

It had to be downgrade talk. The forum blew up about it then, both in the OT and through other threads during launch. It was a big deal online.

Also, Watch Dogs 1 had one of the largest pre-launch hype machines going since its reveal. It wouldn't be surprising that more people jumped on that game than the sequel years later, especially given the overall negativity surrounding the experience itself regardless of tech deficiencies.

Welp...this might be GOTY for me. Girlfriend was sitting next to me and I called the cops on a dude in the game and what happened had us laughing our asses off. She said " I've never laughed at a game like this."

I think I've played 7 hours today at least. It's like the game was made for me .

Only 3 hrs in but these things i know will start annoying me shortly

- No way to stop car radio without going to phone menu. Sometimes i hop in a car and the radio is playing, i have to stop the car, open phone, open media player and stop the song
- Marcus doing rediculous backflips of tiny ledges when i want to drop down
- Driving still feels weird (i know i will adjust to it like i did watchdogs 1, no idea why they didnt just copy gta5 driving)
- Map markers, hacking phone text e.t.c all feels really small for me from a distance. Map markers espcially are hard to tell the different icons apart.
- Scoutx doesnt seem to give you the exact location of a place (or am i doing it wrong)

Otherwise i am loving the city and im enjoying the hacking art/dedsec logo stuff more then i thought i would.

For the music you can hold the select/touch pad down and use the right stick to skip songs or turn it off/on.

ScoutX is a little finicky with angles but if you notice the ScoutX symbol while taking the photo, it'll work

When you're using scout X then you can press X to mark it on your map the scout X logo will also pop up when a picture will count

Turning in for the night but had a ton of fun too bad there's no stats screen

Really? I just used the boost with X (PS4).

Edit: Won all races.
Wow lol that's pretty cool, I lost every race!
I got the ability to get go karts delivered what'd you get?
I'm talking specifically about racing for the black Oakland tech dude Nathan I think

Tonally the game is excellent. They embraced the ridiculous concept that the game is based around but not to the extent of going full parody like Saints Row or ending up trying way too hard to be edgy like with Sunset Overdrive (which was basically stevebuscemifellowkids.jpg)

I do feel like the on foot controls are worse this time around though, compared to Watch Dogs 1 which was just on point. They should have kept running bonded to R2 with automatic parkour like Assassin's Creed, it serves no purpose to have it bounded to L3 and having R2 pressed for climbing/parkour. The cover system also feels wonky and this is the first game with Ubisoft cover system (yea they do have a trademark system that is seen in splinter cell, watch dogs, division, ghost recon...which I consider 2nd best after Gears) where it doesn't feel as good. The cover system was the best in The Division.

I'm glad they changed it. I've played most AC games and this was one of my biggest gripes. I'd be running around the city and cut a corner then run up the side of the wall. It was even worse if I was being chased.

Man I should of done research before I bought this on gmg. Didn't know it was coming out on the 29th for pc. Wont have time for it, sorry to go off topic but hows the refund policy for gmg?

Something about this game isn't clicking with me. I recognize that Watch Dogs 1 wasn't a great game, but I never got overtly frustrated when playing it.

Every time I have to "Infiltrate" a place to hack something I fail repeatedly. If I have to use the little remote control rover it always ends up blowing up, because I'm not going to wait around for the ridiculous amount of guards to stand next to things. It's then extra annoying because you have to wait for the thing to recharge before you can use it again.

Then if I try to go in guns blazing I die almost instantly. The mission I'm on
stealing the data for the red room
is ridiculous with the amount of enemies that are there. I try my best to stealth around and melee people, but I always end up being seen.

I'm getting frustrated, because if I want to hack myself around it takes forever to get anything done, and if I try to kill everyone I die instead. Am I just bad at the game? Should I get the drone? Should I buy specific guns?

Edit: Also can we get a patch that stops the cars from disappearing? Every time I drive somewhere the car I took there is gone after the cutscene...

Gotta hack in stages. Sometimes setup diversions that will make guards go to different areas, then you can thin them out. Especially when they are traveling in groups you can take a few out at a time.
As hacking powers geg better there def are ways yoi can get in and out with minimal effort. Also gotta try to take out guards who can call in reinforcements which makes things worse.

It's definitely different. I'm used to being able to blow everyone to shit with hacking in the first game but, even with more options, I don't feel so powerful in this game.

So... I'm not really digging this so far. It looks good, has some decent humor, but the world isn't pulling me in at all. Like this group of people are just hacking for the sake of hacking? Is there ever some big plot or reason they go after the Blume person? I want to like it more then I do but so far not having luck.

Also got a side mission to hack some phones? One shows on a roof high up and no way to get to it? Do I need to unlock something?

Open world games always overwhelm me at first specially Ubi with all the side activities that magically open up an hour or so in. This one is no different but really liking what I've seen so far, so much so taking a half day tomorrow to try and dig into it.

Played WD1 last week and don't know why they can't keep some of the buttons the same, pulled out my gun and had to dig around on how to holster it.

Game definitely seems a lot more light0hearted than the first. I might just try and check it out before FF15.

Does the world feel lively though? Seems like they're aren't that many people walking around from some of the videos I;ve seen.

If it's anything like the first game you probably need to find a lift or something to get you up there.

There are always ways to get there. Think of it as an environmental puzzle. Switch between cameras or look for a forklift.

Or just buy the drone and skip all of that stuff.

I looked around for a lift, but couldn't access it, gonna guess I need a perk. Cool you can use a drone to skip that.

Wondering if I should get this on my PS4 Pro or my PC.. I have a good PC (980 Ti + 6700k), but I'd really rather not deal with the standard Ubi jank that their PC games have had during launch..

Wait until the next PS4 Pro patch and see if it fixes the tearing and frame rate drops. Graphically it looks pretty good so if they can get it smoothed out I'd just buy it on the Pro to be honest.

Am I stupid or is there no way to adjust the radio level down in relation to the game? I've only found master level.

Was man-bun guy supposed to be
Aiden?

Just popped this baby in. Holy moly at the IQ on the Pro! Jesus the game looks brilliant once you get past the tutorial. So clean and great textures. Honestly it runs beautifully, I haven't noticed slow downs or tearing. Pro baby.

Way better than WD1. I just keep calling in gang hits and running over people with cars. The mess of bodies and exploded vehicles I left at Sutro Tower was pretty amazing. Marcus >>>>> Aiden

My favourite part of the game so far has just been cruising the city trying to get to the money caches and Dedsec... upgrade points, whatever they're called. Interesting environmental puzzles that remind me of the Batman Arkham games

I really enjoyed the main mission where you break into their fake Google headquarters, too. Game's been pretty thoroughly enjoyable so far.

generally i just love how marcus seems to be having fun with everything he does, unlike iconic cap man who just looked upset the whole game, the animation in this game is top notch

So once I get the drone, is that going to effectively ruin the treasure hunt part of the game? That kind of sucks if so.
