That's good. You win. You have nothing to worry about.
So all inputs allow for full 4K at 60hz.
In the manual, under specifications subsection it clearly states that HDMI Port 1 only does 4k/30 hz. Only 2, 3, and 4 do 4k/60hz.
So you're saying despite this HDMI input 1 will still give you 4k output at 60 fps?
Just got my 49" in. Now I have to browse through... 30 something pages to figure out which configurations you guys say are right for HDR and 4K
.....Stuff about power cord....

PS4 Pro games don't output in 4:4:4 anyway.
Is there any reliable source for either claim? I've been wondering about this for quite some while.Yes, they do.
Yes, they do.

Nah.

The Sony XBR49X700D 49" Class 4K Ultra HD TV is $698 on Amazon right now. I really wasn't thinking of picking up a 4K TV but...should I bite?
BTW, they have the 55" with PS4 Pro for $1k. Basically, they throw in the Pro for $100.
Yes, they do.
Auto settings will put out on Pro 2160p 8-bit RGB 4:4:4 for non-hdr games.
8-bit? Gross.
FYI...Just got an update today (US) to PKG6.0612.0004NAA from PKG6.0514.0001NAA (9/16/2016).
Oddly I got this on the TV but it is not on Sony's site yet.
Mine comes tomorrow and I'll be using it for both PC and consoles as my desktop replacement. I'll report back after I've messed w/ it a bit. I would've waited too, but I just can't. LOLAnyone using the 43" as a PC monitor as well? Seems like it is a solid choice for the PS4 Pro too. I can't really fit anything bigger than 43" in my office. I am curious what the 2017 line up will be like, but I am a bit impatient. I wish the KS8000 came in a 40" model.

Ugh, didn't get to go with the Click Frenzy deal. Honestly, between the various benefits and flaws of the Samsung and the Sony, I'm gonna wait and see if Samsung's 2017 line finally includes a 40-incher with proper HDR.
Updating my x800d right now. Anyone knows what it does?
Reposting for new page as well.
Anyone with the 43", can you do me a favor and see how secure your ac cord is to the television. The 49" comes with a detachable powr brick, but the 43" cord comes attached direct to the tv. Does your cord, at the point of connection with the television wiggle or even turn almost 45 degrees to an angle. My television was moved causing extreme tautness on the wire and when I looked, I noticed the where the power is connected to the television it was severely angled.
Can anyone check their 43" for me. Don't use any force or anything but see is it a loose connection or does it not move? Because if so it might mean mine has dislodged etc. Ive straightened and moved it back and let the cord have slack but it was turned almost over the screw on the bottom right.
Menus and guide seems faster. Could be off base but colors/letters seem a bit more vivid and sharper. My settings haven't really changed. I wonder if input lag decreased. Sony has always been able to drop input lag times with their updates.

It displays "HDR" on the screen when you select picture, among many things.
4096 x 2160p (24, 60Hz), 3840 x 2160p (24, 30, 60Hz), 1080p (30, 60Hz), 1080/24p, 1080i (60Hz), 720p (30, 60Hz), 720/24p, 480p, 480i
Edit: the manual says HDMI 2 and 3 for 60hz and yet the other slip says for all inputs. I have both downloaded. Now I am curious myself and will test and report back.
But it always said HDR adjusting the picture. What are these many things? Lol
Was anyone between this and the KS8000 by chance? I know it's crazy but I am between this in 43" and the KS8000 in 49". Is everyone happy with the HDR performance of this set? Cheers!
I was considering it, but I opted for the Sony simply because I didn't want to fork out $1,000+ at the time.
I'm pleased with the 800D's performance. Ratchet and Clank in HDR really surprised me.

I'm considering getting one of these (Sony XBR43X800D). Will it do well as a part time computer monitor? I'd like to use it in my office and move the ps4 in there but I'll have to share this screen with my PC. I can get the TV for $465.
Quick question.
I have motion clearness (not smoothness) but clearness set to max. This reduces judder.
RTINGS mentioned in their review that it doesn't not contribute to input lag. So I was like, oh cool - let's turn this on.
But there is no such thing as a free lunch and I don't believe them now that I think about it. Any thoughts on this?
Got that today too. Any idea what it does?FYI...Just got an update today (US) to PKG6.0612.0004NAA from PKG6.0514.0001NAA (9/16/2016).

Yes it will. You can do accurate pixel mapping (another GAFfer explained how to on the recent pages), use their in-built upscaler (guess this will introduce input lag) or just set it to game mode and be done. The cables you use currently are fine.I'm getting the 43"....
I only have the OG Xbox One and OG PS4. Will the TV upscale them? Do I need to buy a 2.0 HDMI cable to be able to do that or is that needed only for proper 4K?
Auto. Your image will look horrible if you "force" HDR "on".I have a question. Do you guys set HDR on the Picture Settings to on or auto? What is the recommended setting for this because i know some games don't support HDR. Is it Ok to force HDR on games that don't support it in game? Or would it make things look too bright.
I'm considering this as well for playing pc games in a small office.
Yes, 49" model obviously (which has an IPS instead of VA panel like in the 43").
