Just about to start the fire totem trial

I have been trying to only use new Pokemon for my team.
Loving these guys:
Charjabug (28)
Trumbeak (27)
Brionne (30)
Crabrawler (27)

These two I don't think I'll keep for the long haul.
Dewpider (15)
Cutiefly (24)

If I delete the demo and then redownload it, will I be able to try to get everything again? I wasn't able to use my 3DS at all so I missed out on all the cool events...

Please help!

My team so far, all upper 20s, low 30s

Dartrix (Lady Bow)
Wishiwashi (Dr Shoal)
Trumbeak (Sam)
Cubone (Matricide)
Snorlax (Pudge)
Mudbray (Mudward)

Trumbeak is getting the axe as soon as I get Zygarde, but this is probably looking somewhat close to what I'll beat the game with (obviously at their final forms)

Lady Bow is the best name ever, I hate that I didn't think of her since she's my favorite Paper Mario partner.

I love Vikavolt but I swear GF wasn’t thinking at in any of it’s aspects from it’s low speed stat to the fact that Charjabug only evolves into him at a certain place at the very late game. It’s messed up because Charjabug focuses of it’s attack stat while Vikavolt has a really high special attack stat. So to get the most out of Vikavolt’s SA stat, you shouldn’t use Charjabug until you can evolve him in late game.

And this isn’t a complaint from the meta perspective, this is from just playing the game casually. That’s not fun. It’s not satisfying. The fact that you shouldn’t use a Pokemon you like till near the end of the story and even when it evolves it’s underleveled to the rest of the team is incredibly frustrating.

I am absolutely loving Munchlax. I use him on every trainer battle to get more money :)

Oh so I'm really confused about the VIP ppl you can invite at Festival Plaza. I have 2 VIP's but I tried on another person and it says failed. Also, is there a limit on VIP's and how do I un-VIP someone? They really need better explanation on the VIP system.

That is frustrating... Charjabug is currently my main Pokemon tbh. Where is it that it evolves? It's a place like a Glaceon evo is it? :/ Damn I thought he'd evolve by leveling mid to late 30s...

I've always wanted a Gengar but I don't jave two 3DSs or two copies of Pokemon games... is anyone kind enough to help me evolve my Haunter and trade it back to me... :0

I got a Modest Grubbin like, right away, but opted to drop it for Alola Raichu at the end of the second island because Vikavolt just seemed so far away. Also Raichu had some badly needed speed.

My team so far:
Torracat
Mudsdale
Salandit
Trumbeak
Dewpider
Charjabug

It's definitely not finalized yet. There are at least two more pokemon that I want to add (Stufful and Wimpod). I'll probably end up replacing Dewpider and Charjabug.

It's around a huge rock at Ancient Poni Path on the last island. He just has to level up once near the rock. So to get the most out of Vikavolt's stat growth, as soon as you get Chajabug don't use him anymore till you're at that area. See how that's poorly thought out?

Thanks for that, that's a shame though. I'll definitely have to put him on hold then, and later on power level him up to the rest of the team,

My Charjabug is Adamant so it's doing ok so far considering it gets alot of Physical moves leveling up.

Wow that blows, I was looking forward to having Vikavolt before too long. Bleh.

For some reason, I think my 3DS always goes offline whenever I am playing Pokemon. It only connects back online when I go back into the home menu. Is anyone else having this problem?

In the first Pokémon game guards wouldn't let you pass cause they were thirsty. The games have always had stupid reasons. And you aren't stuck in a city you go a different route. It's always been that way.

Yeah but at the very least there's a solid in-game reason for it in past games.

Good Mechanic + Stupid in-game Reason = Ok
e.g Not letting you into Saffron 4 gyms early

Good in-game Reason + Arbitrary Mechanic = OK
e.g Can't do Saffron Gym without doing Silph Co.

Stupid in-game Reason + Stupid mechanic = bad
e.g My dog is busy using this ENTIRE STREET.

And sure in SunMoon you aren't "stuck in the city" because there aren't gyms but you are being hand-led through every single route in the order prescribed. It's the equivalent.

I was so excited to randomly bump into a Misdreavus I immediately put her on my team. She's one of those Pokemon I've always sort of wanted an excuse to use.
Also, I'm kind of annoyed at how good the new Pidgey evolution is. Like, I should probably swap it out at some point, but it might be the second strongest on my team.

Man, a Mudbray with Stamina puts in some fuckin' work. Thank God I was able to get that with the first one I saw, because I swear I had to fight at least 5 more Mudbays before seeing a second one with Stamina.

In other news, I just burned through 5 Ultra Balls trying to catch a Paralyzed Miltank that kept healing itself. I should've just killed it (not like I'm ever going to use it), but if I see a Pokemon that I don't have the Dex entry for, I can't help myself.

Spoilers for a totem fight:

Totem vikavolt fucked my shit up. I came out of that fight with only my tsareena left an she was in the red

jesus christ that shit was hard

Why are all the grass types pink? Why is Tsareena the Fruit Pokémon?

Based off the Mangosteen.

Can't you see the resemblence?

i legit hope a remaster/update to this game comes out for the switch. would 100% buy

having a very good time with sun so far, trying to make my all fighting mon team

Tsareena is actually my favorite from the three pink grass types and it seems like it has the most potential to kick some ass. I'm dropping the one I have because I have the Grass starter, but I'm gonna use it in my Sun play through. Except I won't use the in game trade one, I'll get my own for the signature ability and so I can name it Alena.

Ha ha two of my pokemon evolved after a battle. Don't think that has happened before for me.

I had the same thing happen earlier? Crazy thing is that if it would've been playing Sun Rockruff would've evolved too and it would've been three.

Was battling a Wishiwashi and it kept calling for help. I just wanted to capture it, but I ended defeating 20 of the damn things. Ugh. "call for help" is the worst new feature :-(

As long as you ignore the fact that the mangosteen is known as the "queen of fruits" and that Tsareena has a freakin' crown and a royalty themed ability sure?...

I did not know that. That makes it much better. Thanks!

This is like where I didn't like Klefki until I heard about the tale about the fairies that steal keys. Then I appreciated the design a lot more.

My current team:

Dartrix (Lv. 19)
Rockruff (Lv. 17)
Grimer (Lv. 17)
Cutiefly (Lv. 17)
Magnemite (Lv. 17)
Mudbray (Lv. 16)

I'm at the very beginning of Route 4. I feel slightly overleveled, but I plan on replacing most of these guys. Having to level up new mons throughout the whole game will hopefully help balance things out.

Z-Moves need to work like Megas for animations... Long first-time animation and then a short version thereafter.

Cool the first time, tedious the 80th.

Charga is a great Mon and still completely viable with and awesome movepool but what you say is def true about Vikivolt and how it evolves.

Charga is fine because of its great ability. Its THE doubles pokemon and has just enough stats to cause some major damage. The way to look at it is as Vikivolt being a postgame evolution. The stats widely swing to a special user and speed is forsaken for that. Playing straight like how were doing makes Viki less worthwhile using, I agree.

But Viki has and awesome place by being a strong evo with and equally reliable mid evo. Charga will def be experimented with in my doubles

I don't know if this is a bug or a feature but Mud Slap doesn't lower accuracy if it lands a critical.

Are there any other bugs/changes to moves like this? It seems like a weird oversight.
