Destiny |OT43| Just What the Doctor Ordered

Haven't played since the OG days, finally decided to get the collection on Xbox One. What's the best LFG app on iOS? See a couple on there but what's the one most people use these days?

Try the Bungie app. It has LFG in it now. Or use destinylfg.com.

The100.com is really the best IMO and it has an app. But it's better if your planning ahead for a raid later on instead of looking for one right away.

question -

I picked up the destiny (xbox collection) disc for my "second" nephew

he lives far enough away that I can't hand him the disk.

my "first" nephew has the full destiny/roi set up

he set up a sub account for his brother that can co-op vanilla (all three of us can play limited content)

my second (and my question) nephew is using the vanilla destiny disk to play on a second xbox (same internet connection as his brother) - can I just give him the "game add-on download" code that came with the collection (ROI edition) disk or do I have to give him the collection disk and the upgrade code?

(realize a lot of parentheses - but easiest way to ask the question)

Oooooooooo. That snipe to win the game. One kill either way.

Wow. Game is so dead we literally ran into the same people like four, five times over in a course of two hours. Some modes won't even match make because of lack of people.

Pretty sure you can just give him the code-- but if it doesn't work you're mailing him the disc regardless so nothing to lose.

true, but I keep thinking it will digitally unlock the main account instead of the sub-account - he hasn't popped on this morning yet so I haven't tried it.

(I own it both digitally on the ps4 and xbox and don't have sub account so it doesn't make sense to me)

You mean because its too easy to level up?

Drop rates in the raid are crazy, thanks to extra chests AND CM.

Exotics are TRIVIAL thanks to 3oc and there are a million paths to 400.

As much as people think they hate RNG it is in fact the carrot on a stick that keeps (kept) them playing.

I still don´t have the VOG legs...

Vanilla Destiny was best Destiny.

Does the Destiny kids book on Bungie.net have any shooting or violence in it?

I would argue that people quit playing because of the lack of RNG these days.

Nah, that's one of the things that made me quit on year one, and consider it after 390 level. What made me reconsider is when I made good progress quickly and painlessly.

People quit playing because it was a small expansion that had a mediocre quantity of content for a game they've been playing for 2+ years already... There's a bunch of other good, new games out right now and people are taking this opportunity to play those.

Plus a lot of people are fed up with the state of crucible right now which is what would keep them around anyway.

Slowing progression down wouldn't have changed much. Personally I didn't even hit 390+ yet so that carrot on the stick (leveling wise) would still be there but I'm just enjoying other games more at the moment...

A lot of people wouldn't have bothered with RoI at all if it went back to VoG drop rates and a good chunk of others would've just quit out of frustration.

I think it's great that we have more ways to 400 now. I haven't be able to play any high leve PvE contents that require collaboration since Crota; but I manage to level all my characters to 400. Everyone looks different now. Unlike the old days when the fully leveled guardians all look pretty much the same.

With that said, I really miss raiding. I havent even done the Kings Fall yet and I'm stuck on a ton of exotic quests. I'd appreciate it if I can get some help to get some of these done.

Wanna do VoG for those boots?

I'm game.

This is my situation. A general fatigue toward the game after a year and a half of nothing but Destiny, pretty much. Didn't do the CM for either raid boss, and not even sure I'll bother with SRL, it just doesn't interest me this time around. I started Diablo 3 to scratch that loot itch right now, and I'm enjoying that. Plus the boatload of other games to check out that I have stacked up.

And that's a good thing. I don't miss the material farming rounds of year one, not having enough strange coins for Xur's exotics, and having only one exotic weapon and armor for the Hunter, which was my only character at the time. Three of Coins was a great addition, and the same goes for being able to reach high levels playing activities I enjoy, without having to go to Raids or Crucible.

The same applies to the likes of Mass Effect 3 multiplayer, where I got most of the gear and characters, yet still continued playing the game.

The lack of PVE events and faction rewards is affecting my enjoyment of the game though. Due to the latter, there isn't much reason to play the patrols, that I enjoyed the most. Offering exotics, or legendaries with better-than-usual perks, as rewards would make the factions worthwhile again. I've also entertained the idea of having special PVE and PVP events, where the players could equip more exotic gear than usual.

This is why I wrote "think" in italic.

:P

If you want to do WotM raid then yes you need it.
Dark Drinker is not required to be able to do WotM. Just nice to have.

You make a good point. The fall season this year has been full of games that are worth sinking tons of hours into. Not to mention we are not dealing with a Taken King size expansion this year.

Rise of Iron gave people more of the content they enjoy, but not much of it. We paid for $30 worth of content and at this point, we've received all of it as far as I can tell. If you've grinded for rewards that you've wanted, then wouldn't it be time to move on? I for one am completely OK with that as much as I love Destiny. I would not be having a lot of fun if I still felt the need to log into Destiny every week just to complete my set of raid gear, or to do each raid 3 times on each character for a chance at receiving an Exotic I needed. I achieved the goals I set for, and it's not like the game hasn't given me more stuff to chase. If I really wanted to, I could practice PvP so I could go flawless in Trials, I could run the raid 3 times a week to attempt to get god-rolls on raid armor. If you must play Destiny there are things to fill your time with.

Hey Hawkian, a non Gaf friend of mine signed up who's been dying to do the raid, his PSN is artificialist23, if you see a friend request from him.

I'm around if you guys need one. Just hit me up.

Just got silver flawless and i don't have time for more cards so thats it for tonight folks.

Also on our first card we matched this team on the first game lol:

Totally could have beat them if two small things went our way in two close rounds too. Ended 5-3 and i went 12/7 feelsbadman.

Reset the card and got it done though (faced a lot of really good teams too), ggs guys.

So, one of the signups dropped out and I have 1 spot for a WotM normal raid + monitors in 20 minutes. A newbie or anyone willing to help would be very welcome. Please quote this post if you can join!

edit: got one

That was a fun card. You said you didnt mind a carry so I decided to make extra hard for you guys by playing real bad. Lol

Not really, but sorry if I made it harder than it had to be at some points. We did play some good teams tho.

Got the pulse rifle adept as a flawless loot. By far the gun I wanted the most so I'm crazy ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ about it.
