We're sitting at 50%.the hardest evidence is that this thread isn't locked. Mods seem to have enough evidence that it's a possibility.
I feel like, assuming that the game is happening, Capcom would be more likely to mix things up with their side of the roster. Given how hands-on Marvel is about character representation these days, their side is probably gonna be pretty by-the-book. I'd love to be wrong, though, as it would be nice for the Marvel side to throw a curveball or two. Again, this is all assuming that MvC4 even happens.

Spencer probably landed Combofiend's job at Capcom. If the rumors are true and he is also the Battle Director then you can be damned sure they will have Spencer in the game again.
I am not going to talk about Marvel 4 roster much. I just want a diverse cast and as many series/universes/factions represented as possible. Except Vergil because I am biased for DMC.

We know Marvel is pretty much best friends with Sony right now (Spider-Man in MCU, Spider-Man PS4 exclusive game), so I wouldn't bat an eye if this was console exclusive to PS4.

Everyone else is fair game to me (well Akuma of course). No matter who they pick, it's ok. I just want X and Cyclops in. I just can't believe this might be happening. This reminds me a lot of the MvC3 days. Remember back then with the polls and character reveals? People were surprised X wasn't in? Then the UMvC3 stuff, man. They just need to announce him and get it out of the way because Lord knows what'll happen if he isn't in.

This plus Zero and I'm a happy camper. No Cyclops was rough for me last go around, no Mega Man was worse for a lot of people. I'm still dumbfounded how Mega Man got stiffed.

I love BC by grin, but I'll never defend the character design for spencer in it. Was really odd since it was the same spencer apparently.
Yeah, and I think this would be the right way to do it. Marvel probably will want something that can at least put up a good fight against WB/DC & Injustice in sales, and the best way to do that is to deliver a product that plays up the fanservice, has some good extras and the like.
Neither Capcom or Marvel really can't afford another rather anemic package deal like MvC3 again, if that's the crowd they're shooting for.

To be fair, by the time MvC3 was in planning the 2009 Bionic Commando reboot was still the recent look and most of us hadn't forgotten it existed yet.
Really hope he comes back with just the original design instead of looking like the lead singer of a Korn cover band.

I've been thinking about this and I'd rather they pull a CvS2. Depending on which of your characters gets the KO for the penultimate stage, I want either Oni Thanos or Infinity Akuma.

I personally would expect a big budget Marvel only fighter, that gets dlc packs with the release on new MCU entries (So a platform that extends to a specified MCU phase), before another MvC. As I thought part of the change with Marvel is to have software that matches the "epic-ness" & high quality of the MCU. Looking at Spiderman on PS4 I'd expect that level of quality from this (or any other new Marvel gaming projects).

I completely agree with this sentiment. And as I've stated before, despite Spencer being CF's boy just take a look at SFV. Ono doesn't seem to go anywhere without Blanka but he didn't make it into SFV.
