Final Fantasy XV SPOILER THREAD

Now that I can finally talk about the game: To anyone who's finished it, there's a secret dungeon near the Rock of Ravatogh that you can only access with the flying Regalia - look for a yellow line on the map and land there. You HAVE to do this dungeon.

It's one of the coolest things I've ever done in a game. Five hours of puzzle-platforming. Enjoy it.

Please tell me there are super bosses like Yiazmat, Weapons, etc besides Adamantoise.

After XIII, I don't ever want to fight another fucking giant turtle-monster ever again.

I'm lost, how do i get the flying regalia? I want to see what's that dungeon everyone is talking about.
Via Cindy doing her sidequests, but you need certain items from infiltration missions.
Is there any kind of post-dungeon or optional boss after beat the game?
There's plenty of that.
Do you still need to go to sleep to gain experience or does that happen immediately after battles?

You gotta camp/sleep always

Welp, that dungeon with Noct, Iggy, Prompto and Aranea was officially my favourite thing ever. Remind me why she's not a permanent party member again? I love her.

She's the best, and clearly not evil at all. Completely disagrees with her employers and is just in there for her living. Don't forget to use her Highwind whenever the bar is filled up.

I think she's too OP to be a perm, lol.

FFXV-2 starring Aranea and grown up daemon hunter Iris. Tabata pls.

Toriyama then?

And Tabata deserves a medal for turning the Versus train wreck into a Very Good Video Game.

He had his own development train wreck that just happend to be well received. Remember that most of the footage from last year's trailers is not present in this game.

He deserves credit for steering the ship, but its not an indication of talent by any measure, just of control. I don't think the end result is especially clean by any means, just that the stronger parts of the project were overshadowed by the weaker ones and given the proper benefit of a doubt.

THis project should not be continued under any circumstances in sequels or expanded material outside of the planned DLCs. It should be left to pursue fresh starts.

Toriyama can be the scenario director and creative producer, with the game direction being Tabata's responsibility. The 3rd Birthday shows that it's the optimal arrangement for bringing out each of their individual strengths.

Doubt that'll happen. Going by recent SE trends, there will be a sequel if it's successful enough. I honestly don't mind. The game world is interesting enough that it can house a few stories. For example, what happened during those 10 lost years. Or what was going on in other kingdoms while the whole world was plunged in darkness.

I also want them to expand the battle system to have real party and class management. A dedicated black mage or white mage skill tree for example. And the ability to play as more than one character. Would be great if they could figure that out, but still keep the snappy action.

They just need someone who can coherently write out a story, honestly.

The whole point of taking Nomura off the project was presumably so Tabata could change the project into a single installment, i don't see them bothering to go back to making sequels for a project in such a hell as this one.

.

Most of those ideas were already in Versus, and were intentionally cut. We have to accept that this is the end result i think.

I think the ending was one of the best in the series, sad and happy at the same time and that little touch of adding noctis to the logo almost made me tear up tbh.
Although i wish they would let you fight Ardyn(yeah,i wanted him to transform) before the final QTE with the knights of the round.

That part was brutal... FF has rarely been as disturbingly morbid IMO.

FF7 had an entire town genocided through incineration by flamethrower through corperate dictatorship order. A corpse hanging from the ceiling via chain isn't all that

FF6 has it's whole "end of the World Schtick" with all the depression to go around. FF7 has multiple occasions of total massacres, FF2 has tons of NPCs die for you. FF4 has...well a lot of fake deaths but they were impactful in the mean time lol. FF9 has Lindblum.

It's not something the franchise isn't intimate with. If the villain or the scene calls for violence, then you shall receive.

Does XV explain what happens to all of the people in Insomnia? Are they all just killed or turned into daemons?

This shit makes me pretty sure that there's at least a handful of mechanics that we just haven't seen yet. Hoping the guide clears some stuff up! Also, man. I really wish you could go back to the World of Ruin and try to fight stuff.

They had those demonwall enemies and after that I never saw them again, near Galdin Quay

Yeah! Though I haven't been in any of the key dungeons yet.

There are definitely some that are evacuated--they mention that. However at the end of the game when you return to Insomnia, there are a metric fuckton of daemons around. So my assumption is that a lot of them got turned into daemons.

Have you seen any other appearances from previously important FF enemies? For example, on one of the streams I saw, Yojimbo was encountered seemingly randomly in Insomnia. He used to be a summon, reduced to a (random?) enemy encounter? I thought it was kind of lame.

Uhh. Demon Wall was in the World of Ruin. King Behemoth is in Insomnia. I can't remember any others, honestly, but I know they exist. However, Yojimbo was actually an enemy in prior FF games! His design in XV is based off of his V design.

Go do Vyv's quest line. He's the guy in Lestallum who looks like Hurley from LOST and asks you to take a bunch of photos. After sending you to a bunch of different places, he'll give you a quest that longtime FF fans will enjoy quite a bit.

Few questions I have:

1. Are the Royal Arms considered Ultimate Weapons in this game? Are there any weapons more powerful that you can equip?

2. Is there magic outside of the standard elemental magic? Specifically looking for Ultima, Flare, Holy, etc.

3. Is there a form of Ultima/Omega Weapon in the game?

4. Have the strongest superbosses been discovered yet?

5. Is there an infinite Armiger super mode?
