Then again a shitload pop up so who knows.
The second Noctis dies, I'd say the bros were mere moments from dying. I'm assuming that they were overwhelmed. Unless time stopped when Noctis killed Ardyn.Soon after, Noctis destroys Ardyn, so shouldn't the Daemons vanish?
So in the end... it's still a part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis mythos with the gods being evil and punishing Ardyn.
I remember in the early days people speculated that Noctis and Stelluna would commit suicide together/die side-by-side because of the Shakespeare influences Nomura had. The epilogue sort of showed this and it destroyed me...
About the epilogue... at the end you have these blue flowers falling down... likely symbolizing Gentiana... so she's... there with them?
Gentiana is best girl, who else could photobomb as well as her?
Also was I hallucinating or did Ardyn call Noctis "dude" at some point in ch13?!
So in the end... it's still a part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis mythos with the gods being evil and punishing Ardyn.
Knees weak, arms are heavy?Pitioss Ruins is something else.
Who... who would have thought that the hardest thing in Final Fantasy XV is also the LAST thing I'd expect to see in it.
My hands are so sweaty.
Vomit on your sweater?Knees weak, arms are heavy?
He also calls him dude in the train before lol'd at that part. Ardyns VA is top notch.
"Dude, are you seriously trying to kill me"😂
Vomit on your sweater?
Ignis Spaghetti?
Could someone give me a hint on how to get to this Pitioss ruins I'm hearing about. I've just been flying around aimlessly and don't know what to look for. A little hint would be great.
Finished it today.
Yeah the peak of the story was definetly chapter 9.
The game should have had a fully explorable Tenebrae (that was even hinted in the world of final fantasy trailer........) and Gralea like they did with Altissia to fully explain things and to give characters like Ravus and the Emperor the space they deserved instead of trashing them like they did.
Instead we got a shitty final dungeon in chapter 13 :/
It's clear that many things were cut. Overall I still think it's a great game, much better than XIII but the second part (that is more like the final third) clearly shows that this was an other MGSV situation, development had to end with what they got.
Questions about the plot:
1)I don't get what Ravus wanted to accomplish while being with the Empire? In the end it turns out that he still wanted to protect Luna and he kept Regis' sword for Noctis until he was ready to be king, but his actions have not much sense if that was his purpose. Yes he kept the sword but how was he supposed to help her sister in pratice?
2)Did Ardyn, given is true name, belong to the royal family of Lucis 2000 years ago? He had healing powers and wanted to heal people from the scourge but doing so he absorbed it and he became the personification of the scourge himself so he was rejected by the old kings and the crystal that initially chose him?
But that doesn't make a lot of sense, he should have been warned not to use his power like that and if he was chosen in any case he was going to be sacrificed, he could have been killed like Noctis by the power of the old gods and the crystal after he absorbed all the ''darkness'' within himself.
It seems more like Ardyn was betrayed for actually trying to be help people....
3)Is the scourge basically due to an actual parasite, MGS style???
All the Ardyn discussion got me thinking. What if the gods were in the right? Ardyn absorbed daemons and darkness into himself. What if that would do something terrible on a grander scale, like infect the afterlife once he went there? What if he was looking for alternatives to giving up his own life as Noctis did, and did something really bad in the process, unknowingly?
Absorbing a ton of evil into yourself isn't exactly the most typical way to save the world, especially one that has an established afterlife. It was heroic, in a way, but there's something iffy about it to begin with.
I still find his story tragic either way.
Yeah, I get that, I just wondered if there might be more to it than "the gods are being mean."I think its much more like this:
Ifrit and the other gods are on opposing sides of humanity, Ifrit created the scourge, and the other gods (seemingly) keep it at bay. As Ardyn was swallowing the scourge, he became more and more corrupted and the other 5 gods saw this as an affront to them, as they reject the scourge implicitly. Ardyn, to them, is not a savior but a byproduct of the scourge (note Bahamut calling him "the afflicted"), hence they shunned him.
Its very much like a greek tragedy meets a judeo christian story.
... man, if told right this game's story could have been something else T_T
That did it, thanks. This felt super obscure and easy to miss for starting a Quest.Look for a window with a prompt in Lestallum.
I went to sleep with 1 million multiplied by 3, turned out 2 million is more or less required to jump from 56 to 99, after it was done going up I was left with 1 million to spare.
btw. that 1 million took me about 20 minutes to get after I used all the coins and banknotes I amassed during my playthrough, you really can take advantage of that leveling system.
He's up there with the big leagues for sure. Somewhere between him, Sephiroth, Kefka, Kuja, and Vayne.man I love Ardyn, dude is my favorite FF villain since Sephiroth.
Yeah. That's a pretty good list of villains. My top is Sephiroth, then Kuja, then Kefka. If Ardyn had a bit more to him, I would put him above Kefka. He felt as evil as Kefka while also having the motivation behind his evilness that I feel Kefka lacks. If only he were more fleshed out. He's up there with the big leagues for sure. Somewhere between him, Sephiroth, Kefka, Kuja, and Vayne.
Thinking about the Big Bang Art that Amano did for the Uncovered FFXV. There's a lot of this guys that didn't appear in the final game no?

Odin is the main MIA.

Good thing I can't make out anything there otherwise I might be disappointed
Yes Yes Yes. Could not agree more. They were terribly boring, cardboard characters. Luna managed to have a more interesting personality and relationship with Noctis with much less screentime than Ignis, Gladio, and Prompto. On Prompto,Gladio & Everyone but Noctis & Ignis :
While the supporting characters are ''likeable'' enough. They simply have zero actual development or motion to their writing. The only minor exception would be Ignis' blindness moment.
Constant quips and one liners don't make for great characters. These characters do not go through any real struggles nor do they come out any different by the end of the game. They're just tropes.
This is in stark contrast to even the poorly regarded FFXIII ,where each character properly went through an arc, even if it wasn't perfectly executed.Something tangible was there.

I just hope SE quickly moves from this project.I don't sense any potential to dwell on here.

Caius is a boring shell of an antagonist that no one will remember.
Angsty and one dimensional.
Ravus could have been another Gabranth, too, sigh. Wasted potential.

So it turns out my favourite theme (hellfire) wasn't a shinomura piece.![]()
