Oh thank god, you weren't serious earlier![]()
Yeah I was too. I was saying I don't think the list I posted is too much different

edit: VIII leaks? Oh god no. Lucasfilm, drain the swamp and tighten the seals

I saw this last week and I have to say I didn't like it anywhere near as much as I thought I would. I feel like there is a good movie in here somewhere, but it didn't make it to the big screen. The characters were all pretty forgettable and the pacing was just ridiculous, especially in the first half hour. I'm honestly not sure why Saw Gerrera was in the movie, all the scenes with him just felt like a complete waste..

There really wasn't ham-fisted about it. At the end of ROTS, everything is tidied up to look like it did 20 years later. At the end of Rogue One, it's set up to look like it did 30 minutes later. After they get the plans, it doesn't take much to have it end before ANH begins.
Empire Strikes Back
New Hope
Return of the Jedi
Phantom Menace or TFA (TBD)
Revenge of the Sith
Attack of the Clones or Rogue One (TBD)
And you guys jump on my shit
A bit off topic but...
The leaked details of EPVIII today suggests more creativity than the franchise has seen since Empire.
Can't wait.
Yeah, that's a pretty shit ranking if there ever was one, but I expect nothing less from the man who considers Batman v. Superman to be a great film.
And you guys jump on my shit
He didn't put the worst prequel in front of ROTJ. That's an unforgivable offense.
And personally never saw it coming. I at least expected some of them to survive, even if they don't appear in the later movies, I still thought maybe there was another way apart from death to explain why they're not a big deal in the succeeding movies.
Leia and Antilles claim they're on a diplomatic mission, like they didn't participate in a major assault on an imperial base just minutes earlier. Like the Empire didn't just watch them escape!
Yeah but I also think lost world was much better than jurassic world too bro.
Yeah but I also think lost world was much better than jurassic world too bro. Dat impasse we find ourselves at yet again. Always with these Lucas/Spielberg franchises. Wonder how you rank the indy movies
I never called it great, I think highest I could rate it would be 6 or 7. But if your trash opinions are not in line with mine though it makes me feel pretty secure in my taste

Lost World was awful. One of Spielberg's worst movies.
They were giving Vader the runaround when they were talking about that.
"Where are the plans? We literally saw you take off with them like a second ago."
"Who, us? That was some other ship. That couldn't be us, we're on a diplomatic mission!"
Are we doing lists now?
It is amazing how small the galaxy is in Star Wars when they can't even let one character escape -- Yoda and Obi-Wan got away, you'd have thought one of them might have run away to some far corner of the universe in exile. But Disney seems hellbent on killing off people, whether it's Han Solo or the entire Rogue One cast...like that's the only avenue for storytelling dramatics they can go down.
Silver lining in the "everybody's dead" ending is we don't have to ever suffer through another film with these characters. Other than Donnie Yen I could have cared less about anyone in Rogue One. On balance the movie was OK but was incredibly boring for much of its duration.
Leia and Antilles claim they're on a diplomatic mission, like they didn't participate in a major assault on an imperial base just minutes earlier. Like the Empire didn't just watch them escape! I'm sure there other inconsistencies too, but that's enough for me. Rogue One and ANH don't make sense together. They just don't. If people want to justify this schlock by saying it makes for a more exciting movie this way, fine. Whatever. People think the end of RotS is amazing, so clearly no one gives a shit about Star Wars making any goddamn sense. Just gimmie them lightsabers bruh.
I don't think it's all that controversial to say TLW>JW.
I love JW, and the finale gets me giddy every time. But nothing in the movie beats the cliffhanger scene. And I personally thought the San Diego finale was a lot of fun as a kid.

Yea that's right
IMO if you took out the Saw Gerrera plotline, you could run with this:
- Jyn gets the message from Bodhi on Jedha
- She's captured along with Bodhi and thrown in prison
- Cassian shows up to spring them, having caught wind of the leak
- They get caught up in the middle of a battle between Imperials and insurgents on Jedha when trying to escape
- Movie proceeds more or less as it did originally
That'd cut out a lot of the fat in the opening hour.

For the new page: Episode VIII spoilers go in here.
They were tracked and pursued according to the . There's likely a gap between when the ship blasted off and when Vader got back on the Star Destroyer, got out of the wreckage of the rebel ship, and tracked them down. The opening crawl of ANH:
"Pursued by the Empire's sinister agents, Princess Leia races home aboard her starship, custodian of the stolen plans that can save her people and restore freedom to the galaxy"
In which case, it's easily explained.
Also, what's with the last sentence? There was one lightsaber in this movie; that's a criticism that makes no sense.
