Looks great, thanks! Man, indie games are an endless well of surprises.

Yeah it makes playing AAA games pretty rare for me anymore, though 2016 was a bit of an exception.

If you think the game looks good add me on Steam (same name and an OSU logo), I have a spare copy I can give you that's just been chillin' in my inventory forever.

Holy shit Otogi was from!? I loved that one and the second one. Had no idea what was going on, but I liked it.

Yup. No other action game has gone as hard as Otogi on the stage destruction but I believe that also explains why Otogi performance was all over the place. It would be interesting to see that now at a more stable performance.

Is your goal to play online vs other people or offline vs other people? If yes, then I would argue that is a very fun game, but one with a bunch of technical and quality-of-life problems that I really wish Capcom would fix. If you don't intend to play vs other people, then no, it is definitely not worth it.

Keep in mind that you don't need the character pass included with the deluxe edition to unlock those characters, but after a certain point you will need to grind a truly awful game mode ("survival") in ordre to earn enough in-game currency to unlock the next characters.

thanks! ill give it some more thought. what kind of technical issues are there?

You guys should have told me how good the music in 'The House in Fata Morgana' is - I would have played it much earlier. 10 minutes in and already in love with the Soundtrack. Best drunk purchase this year.

That's generous of you. I sent you a friend invite!

Going to bed in a bit, so won't be online for a while.

Ive said the OST is some of the best gaming music plenty of times tho.

Evening all,

I hope this finds you all well. I'm thinking of grabbing Sonic Adventure for a friend, maybe Blazblue Continuum Shift Extend for me but otherwise I'm good from this sale.

Alright, finally pulled the trigger on everything I wanted to buy. Some stuff like Tyranny was too new for a discount I liked and others I decided to skip to get more lower-priced games I was interested in. All said and done, I got 8 games.

Creepy Castle
Deadbolt
The Final Station
Gonner
Oneshot
Recursed
Stories: The Path of Destinies
And Trillion: God of Destruction

At a total of...60 something bucks, 45 of which was made from selling cards.

From Software wasnt always doing Souls games, they used to do much more hardcore shit

There was a time FS did more than Dark Souls and Armored Core games. I miss those days a bit even if some games they did were bad (Evergrace, Forever Kingdom and Murakumo for examples) but they clearly were constantly trying new stuff and there were quite a few interesting games (Lost Kingdoms, Otogi, Chromehounds, etc)

I know guys, my older cousins played kings field on PS1 which was an odd game. And I played lost kingdom but just never knew it was by from.

Getting near the end of Oxenfree. Really do not like / did not like this game at all, just an annoying experience all around. Bothersome characters and the constant
time jerks / rewind
thing just got plain exhausting by the end.

Two big pros though: the audio and the conversation system. Definitely can appreciate that stuff, but otherwise I really can't wait to finish this thing up and move on. I'm in too deep to bail but I'm finding it super overrated and quite tiring.

100% agreed. Bought it last sale (after whole Neogaf seemed to recommend it) and was disappointed as well.

Damn, was thinking of getting it because of how it looked graphically guess I won't do it anymore, since my backlog is already flooding and time is limited.

I dunno what to buy. Still thinking Divinity. Also got a spare launch Xbone pad to trade in (50 percent bonus this week @ GS), they're giving an additional 20% toward Steam Wallet trades. Maybe get an easy $34 for Steam that way.

Here's my potential buy list, any help? Maybe a top 3?

Aragami
Bit Blaster XL
Genital Joust
INSIDE
Microsoft RTS Bundle (missing AoE2 HD + expansions, Mythologies)
N++
Slain: Back From Hell
Transistor

I was gonna get Bit Blaster since it's only 49 cents but, yeah. HELP ME STEAMGAF

Bit off topic but do you guys know of a good Steam achievement tracking website that people use? Would be nice to see things at a glance rather than go digging in my profile.

It's just my opinion, a lot of people loved it. But I found it completely grating - be it from the vaguely annoying and blah teen characters to the slow-as-molasses navigation along extremely narrow and limited paths, back and forth and back and forth, to the one-note radio dial mechanic, et cetera.

Again, this is me, a lot of people liked it and it's only five bucks now, but I'm finding it to be one of the most exceptionally overrated games I've played recently. And it's dragging on and on! So self-indulgent towards the end!

Astats.nl is probably the most common one, and MetaGamerscore is fairly popular and multi-platform.

Can't think of anywhere else to ask this...

I want to but something from the Microsoft store on PC (help me), but I have some of the money in my paypal wallet, but not enough. If I pay by Paypal will it use what's in my wallet and take the rest from a card, or will it simply see I don't have enough in my wallet and default to the card for the full amount?

Failing that, can I buy Xbox credit, say £35 worth and use that on the Microsoft store (I don't own an Xbox anymore)?

Bought Turok.

Man, the throwback of not reloading a gun and just pointing in the general direction of an enemy to land shots is a refreshing change of pace. I see there's even a few mods for it.

If you pay with paypal, it'll pay from your paypal balance and the remaining will be pulled from the bank account linked to your paypal.

Another reason I love this thread is I'm very sure a few folk and I were bickering earlier in other threads, and here the allure of sales is what brings us together.

My haul so far (mostly Origin):

Rainbow Six Siege
Doom
Watch Dogs 2
Shadow Tactics
Offworld Trading Company
Ass Creed 2
Splinter Cell Conviction
The Saboteur
Battlefield Bad Company 2
Crysis 3
Dead Space 3
Grid

Also got Reigns and Call of Duty Zombies from the Google Play Store, and Owlboy and Wasteland 2 from my Secret Santa.

I felt the same way. After finishing a play through I thought it was very cool seeing how my choices measured up against other players.

But actually playing the game...slowly navigating the environments and fiddling with radio dials practically guarantees I won't bother playing again.

I got Bad Rats Show gifted from our fellow Jason Frost "truly the baddest rat of them all". I felt the obligation to complete the original and this new one.

Quoting a steam review:

The second game really is somewhat enjoyable, except for the last chapter. The 3D physics aspect was the worst part about these games. The last chapter fully embraces that aspect. I had to cheese some levels with OP yoga, pope & jebus rats (true story).
I'm proud of you, son.
