Ok, so far the haul is:

Mad Maz
Abzu
DMC (not dante version:P )
Helldivers
Stanley Parable

I'm thinking of getting Rise of the Tomb Raider, I've recently completed Uncharted 2 and 3 on ps3, and finished some time ago TR 2013 on the pc.

How is performance now on a GTX 970/Haswell I5 combo? I've a lot of patches come out for the game.Is the game any good, I reckon it'll scratch my uncharted fix, and is it some 50+ hour open world romp?

The end of year Steam sale is that time where I buy a big pile of games that I realistically will never get around to playing....

....but you know it could happen so I had to buy them.

Imagine if there are combinations of games that allow to drop a digit from the price of games in your cart.

From 13.59€ to 03.59€.

It's probably loyalty discount.

Loyalty discount applies when both items are in cart or if you own one.

Goat Simulator was tailored for such an award. Its too perfect. If anything else won Steam community would have completely lost all credibility.

I voted for Stardew. Maybe not as good a use of a farm animal, but a much better game that uses farm animals.

I can't decide between a SteamLink or Doom :(

Someone halp :(

If you get the SteamLink, you'd be best off either using it ethernet-wired, or at least have a hella fast AC wireless router. Mine worked like total garbage on my old N router until I upgraded to some crazy $250 Borg-lookin' AC Wifi router with 8 antennas, then suddenly worked amazing. Shockingly so. Of course, if you're just gonna run an ethernet cable that solves all of those problems too.

At the same time, Doom might be the most refreshing FPS i've played in years. It's awesome. You want health? It's over there. *Inside* the bad guys. GO GET IT. You want ammo? Oh, it's also over there... inside the bad guys. USE YOUR CHAINSAW AND GO GET IT.

Also, the Doomguy has the most fantastic "zero fucks given" attitude towards everything and the game plays it up for all it's worth.

Someone forgot to disable it for sale, whoopsie.

So what if someone buys Blood Dragon and uses the hidden loyalty discount to buy MAX Fusion, and then asks for a refund of Blood Dragon?

Don't do it at home. This stunt is performed by a pro.

not sure if i like bitterblack isle. it's like a dark souls dungeon without from's craftmanship and attention to detail and it shows. they also do an embarassing amount of copy pasta of areas that makes it really difficult to map out in your head, and the difficulty is not very much fun or interesting

not a big fan so far, i unlocked the two shortcuts already so i think i'm close to the end but yeah, i feel like i should start wrapping it up before i get frustrated with it

anywho, happy new years everyone, where i'm going there is no internet...

seriously my grandma needs to get some wifi hooked up already

Probably nothing. I thought about doing so, but decided against.

I finally got off from refunding shitheads list (2hr card drop delay) after all.

Tsk I don't have Trails of Blood Dragon. Ah well will wait for it to be $10 or less someday.

Okay GAF, i want to play some AAA games i missed in 2016. Is Far Cry Primal worth 15 bucks?

Ehh.

It's a good Far Cry game. If you really, really love the Far Cry games it's more of that. But it's not as interesting as it...Should have been, for being such a departure in setting. I'm hard pressed to think of anything in it that I haven't seen in other games or in other mediums.

I think it's more of a question of what else could you spend that 15$ bucks on that would be more interesting or fun. Sadly, I think most of the other AAA deals in the $15-20 range have already passed; Hitman, Dishonored 2, DOOM. Deus Ex MD is still $20 I think though.

I dont know about that I haven't played it but yeah its $12 for the game and dlc plus about 6 or 7 other games they will reveal friday

it's not all the DLC it's a special hat and one of the last stand (horde modes) maps for the game

there are 2 expansions that are for the main game, 3 maps and some weapons in each

you don't need to own the maps to play on them, but if you don't own them you can't select them from the map (if a friend has them you can play if he hosts, or you can pick 'random' and hope it puts you in a dlc map)

the 2 expansions are not included in the monthly

I think I'll unsubscribe from Humble Monthly.
Vermintide doesn't interest me, the other games will either be repeats or uninteresting or stuff I can get for $1 in the next normal Humble.
And of course there's GAMEPUMP.

So only 2 card drops remaining, right? In 17 hours, 2 cards. In 1 day and 17 hours, end of the sale, no card drop.

They have a commercial here in the US where a kid tweets that their holidays are going to be terrible because they are going to grandmas house and one of the cable companies sets up the grandparents with cable and internet. You should have done that.

I'm feeling very stupid. I have this primal urge of wanting to buy Deus Ex The Fall, despite knowing it's a total shitfest (at least gameplay wise, is the story decent?). But I'm close to the point of being desperate for more Deus Ex, and to complete the collection (already own DX1, IW, HR, MD).

Talk me out of it. :(

My strategy of buying everything I want from the humble monthly in the BST thread hasn't failed me yet.

Aren't you too late to cancel your subscription of this month? It said the next billing date would be on 30 December. Luckily I cancelled a few hours before the 30th.

Well getting my Steam Link running was much more of a pain in the ass than it had any right to be (seriously, would just a tiny bit of documentation be that bad, the "quick start guide" is completely worthless), but once it finally did, it seems pretty nifty. For some reason I also wasn't expecting it to be as small as it is.

Bought Diaries of a Spaceport Janitor, Towerclimb, and ABZU in my (maybe) last round.

Returned Towerclimb. Normally I like the minimalist pixel art style it has but, I dunno, something about it just never clicked. Thinking of returning Diaries too as it doesn't feel like much to me. I love the style, and the ambience, but everything else falls a little flat IMO. Both of these games I could see myself returning too when they drop a little lower in price.

ABZU, on the other hand, is terrific. Feels like an underwater version of Journey without the "co-op", and that I'm 100% in for.
