I had Abzu in my cart but I removed it for anime.

I got no time for your artsy fartsy underwater games damn it!

You can still try a 2-hour sitting at work.

But that would require me to own the game.

Also you say that as a diss but the fact I can do 2 hour sittings of videogames at work is amazing so you just come off jelly as fuck Wok :3

Speaking off, back to Final Fantasy IV.

At work.

Playing games at work is the best. Never knew how special of a thing that would be until I could.

Euro Truck Simulator 2

I've seen mention of it here but never cared to take a look because... trucks? Really?

But now I finally took a look at it and it actually looks pretty cool. I want to know if I should get this and I hope you guys can help me:

1) Is this a game you can play when you want to chill out?

2) Is this a good podcast/listen-to-some-music game?

3) Is it too complex?

4) Should I get all of the DLC?

1) Yes
2) Yes, even has an in-game real life radio
3)No
4) probably, if you enjoy it.

Sounds like a good excuse to watch Giant Bomb's Quick Look of the Internet (featuring Euro Truck Simulator 2) Although note that this video is several years old now.
I'm getting everything set up for the SteamGAF GOTY voting that will take place starting next week. I'm excited to see what everyone comes up with as their favorite game on Steam in 2016.
I was just about to ask if that was happening again.

Excellent news.
At least ARK didn't win an award.

That is my only solace for the Steam awards.
Starbound is one of my biggest gaming disappointments in recent years. I loved terraria, and was really looking forward to Starbound. It not even bad, but terraria still does everything better than it. The quests it has you doing are completely uninteresting, the combat doesn't feel as good, etc. If you've done everything in terraria and still want more, I guess give it a shot, but otherwise I'd say just play more of that.
I never got super into Terraria, but I agree with this. It's a bummer. I hope they can right the ship with some patches.

The thing that bothers me the most about it is how the MMO questline stuff feels incongruous with the rest of the game. Like, it's a block-building game and you can't even do that during the missions, which turns it into this really bad action-platformer. Although the other problem is the combat itself; it feels oddly basic considering how much variation there is in the weapons and enemies you face. Terraria, for as few enemies as it has by comparison, gives a lot more variety in how to fight, encounter, and deal with enemies (inlcuding using the environment to do it for you).

Oh, and for as awesome as all the visual flair in Starbound is, it makes inventory management a nightmare.

There's a free demo you can download and play to see if you'd like it.

But yeah, I agree with everything data said. It's a relaxing game to play especially when you're listening to a podcast or playing music.

1.- To the Moon got robbed. Robbed, I say!
2.- Why you all hating on the Prinnies?
3.- How easy/hard is it to get into Crusader Kings gaf? Is it worth it?

Gorgeous

Really solid but repetitive. Lots of fun. Just stop doing sidequests when you feel burnt on them.

All of this except I never got tired of it. Maybe it was a right place right time thing but I was super into it. Its also very long. And you can get it for 4.50 at bundlestars with the 10% voucher.

This rabbit needs to settle on a job already.

Cecil is the most evil looking good guy protagonist ive ever seen.
Deathbringer
isnt very heroic guyz.

I'm curious if anyone has any game suggestions in the way of a visual novel, fighting game, or perhaps rpg? My laptop has an i3 processor which typically runs at 1.5 Ghz so that's my bottlecap and an Intel HD 4400 graphics card and 4 GB RAM.

Basically...any old but good titles of note?

I suggest not playing any.

I knew I liked you todd.

The fuck is going on in this town? First I

Steins;Gate? Love the hell out of that game (currently playing the sequel)

I got Mad Max last week and I'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would.

Before the sale ends, is there anything similar on sale right now?

I already played:
Batman AK
Shadow of Mordor
MGS 5

(T)RPG: the banner saga.

I'm feeling very stupid. I have this primal urge of wanting to buy Deus Ex The Fall, despite knowing it's a total shitfest (at least gameplay wise, is the story decent?). But I'm close to the point of being desperate for more Deus Ex, and to complete the collection (already own DX1, IW, HR, MD).

Talk me out of it. :(

Play Project Snowblind instead I you haven't.

The Just Cause and Saints Row games have some similarities.

Just Cause 3 looks great but there must be something wrong with the game with only 62% positive reviews in the last 30 days. Looks like it's badly optimized.

I don't know about Saints Row. I played the first one on 360 and wasn't a big fan of it. Seemed like a cheap GTA clone to me.

Its nothing like GTA since 3.

The SR franchise has had a giant tonal shift from SR2 --> SR3, that people either really love or hate. You might still want to check out SR3 sometime if you didn't liked the old ones.

So I'm seriously thinking about buying Witcher 3 again. Bought it on PS4 at launch and made it to Skellige but haven't touched it since. I recently got a new GPU and I think my 3570k can handle it. Plus having all the DLC would be pretty sweet.

Someone gifted me The Divison. I actually like what little I've played from this game. heard so many terrible things, but it seems fun. Does the Season Pass include ALL of the DLC listed on Steam like the Survival DLC?

I cant shill for it since its EA and my thoughts on EA games are well known, but i'm surprised there's not more Astroneer shilling going on around here.

Shit looks fantastic already.

I bought it on release. You really don't want it. Like, I got past all the mobile jankiness early, and said, hey, it is what it is, it could be good anyways. And then, right when you really start feeling like, hey, it could get good, it ends. Like literally, it like fades out to black with the "To be continued splash on the screen." Except there is no to be continued there's just rage, on your part. Because you'll never know the rest of the story. Because you put up with the Dues-Ex lite thinking that it could be better. Because it'll be just about 6 hours, and you'll have wished you could refund it -- not because the money matters (it's only 2.50), but because Square Enix even asking for money for whatever it is is kind of an insult.
