Maybe? Yes? But the thing with Sony is sometimes give second chances and surprises. Last Guardian, Shenmue 3, etc.
Except Sony have nothing to do with Deep Down.

At least RE engine is shaping up to be good. How did they drop the ball so hard after doing such a great job with MT Framework last gen?

Shouldn't you be hoping Nintendo hires them for Bayonetta 3?
Bayonetta 3 for switch makes exactly as much sense as Bayonetta 2 for wii u. it would definitely sell consoles tooI don't see Nintendo committing to a 3 without mor epeople buying 2. No one is going to buy a Wii U for 2 now but with switch being the new hotness for Nintendo 1+2 could get more interest there.
Some success there would then make 3 more likely.
I think MS is in a bad spot. I doubt pretty multiplats will drive Scorpio sales. Phil is going to earn his salary if he can pull this off.
Yeah, what a weird thing to say. He could of just apologised for dissappointing anyone and then said it was a tough decision. He cancelled the game so Xbox gamer don't have to suffer from a broken game. /s

Its not better for gamers, this puts Platinum games at risk.
It would be so very Microsoft if their intention all along was simply to kill off Platinum games so that they wouldn't be able to make games for their competitors anymore.
I think it will for a lot of people. If a guy walks into a store and asks "which one does the best NBA 2K/Battlefield/Red Dead?" the guy behind the counter will be pointing at Scorpio. That will be more than MS has had so far this gen. I'm not saying it's going to get them passing Sony, or even catching up at any meaningful pace. But it could definitely right the ship and change their narrative, which has been in the gutter pretty much all generation.
The only things that can muck it up for them is if they need to price it sky high, or if Sony makes a spoiler announcement of newer, more promising hardware on the horizon this summer.

People so grossly over estimate specs. Xbox 1 blew the ps2 out of the water and no one gave a crap aside hardcore fans. As well, most people by the time the Scorpio hits, will already have entered this gen, and if not, the price difference will likely be too big. Systems are sold by software, and unless the next Xbox is basically getting next gen level games (and not 4k versions or something else few care about) it won't matter.
As someone who was a primary Xbox player through their first and second console, I have no intention of owning a Scorpio early in because of how the Xbox one has panned out, and unless the spec gap is big, i'll just keep using PS4. It's sad how MS went from such an aggressive company to basically giving up game wise.
I wouldn't put it past them. Microsoft has a reputation outside of gaming that goes back decades and hasn't changed since.Do you actually believe this?
Jesus, can you please stop this? You hate Microsoft, but this is too much.It would be so very Microsoft if their intention all along was simply to kill off Platinum games so that they wouldn't be able to make games for their competitors anymore.

Please, just stop with this nonsense, you've been trying hard to bash MS in this thread since the very begining.
Either you're trying to cause a ruckus or you have a serious hate towards a company. It would be so very Microsoft if their intention all along was simply to kill off Platinum games so that they wouldn't be able to make games for their competitors anymore.
Edit: Ha, well atleast that's something positive. If it makes you feel any better, I think they're a lesser evil than Apple.
If you'll follow his posts, it should be obvious for you. Huge MS hater and probably Nintendo fan, i believe almost half of his posts in this thread.Either you're trying to cause a ruckus or you have a serious hate towards a company.

Platinum Games' Kenichi Sato said:Were sorry to say that on January 9, 2017, Microsoft Studios announced the cancellation of Scalebound. We are very disappointed things ended up this way, especially since we know many of our fans were looking forward to this game as much as we were.
Going forward, we will strive to continue delivering high-quality games to you, starting with NieR:Automata in March, and including products like GRANBLUE FANTASY Project Re:Link and LOST ORDER in the future.
We will keep working hard to meet your expectations and we look forward to your continued support!

They actually invested millions of dollars to get the best sniper spot to take out Kamiya for banning them on Twitter.
Hope those 100 or so developers get a new project soon.Platinum Games blog post: https://www.platinumgames.com/official-blog/article/9223
Back in January of 2015, Sony had an event at the Taipei Game Show, which including this teaser countdown of upcoming games.Any truth to the idea they were actually working on a Rising 2?
Dude, I like fucking knack of all games. You have no idea how happy I was when knack 2 was announced. I'm glad my "shit" games get second chances in most circumstances. None of the "shit" Microsoft exclusive games I liked ever got sequels though. Kameo? Nah. Chronehounds? Nope.
And we've now reached the point where these "shit" games from Microsoft never even see the light of day because some guy in a suit decides we might not like it? It's a joke. Let the consumers decide, throw a demo/beta out, you might be surprised.
All in all it's why I find their acquisition of minecraft hilarious. That game would have NEVER seen the light of day under Microsoft's current policies. I doubt the concept would have even been greenlit considering where it started and how that game has evolved over the years. They have no idea what it takes to build something anymore. They're just not willing to go through the pain and struggle involved.
Have they ever had a project of that scale before? If not, a lot were probably contractors which were funded by MS which makes the situation fine.Hope those 100 or so developers get a new project soon.
what the fuck?
Do you actually believe this?
Jesus, can you please stop this? You hate Microsoft, but this is too much.
If it wasn't for the annoying coop chieves in Kameo I would've gotten them all. Seriously, that was the 360s freaking Zelda minus some very obvious polish issues. Pisses me off, it was a great game.None of the "shit" Microsoft exclusive games I liked ever got sequels though. Kameo? Nah. Chronehounds? Nope.

I don't know man, we got a pretty interesting story after Fable Legends was a canned and Lionhead was axed.Or maybe nothing. Kind of like what both sides got. Now they're both working on rebounding amicably in the aftermath of a poor partnership.
