Full range of Horizon Zero Dawn accessories and merchandise detailed

speaking of going all out, i wonder if we'll see a super bowl spot
I'd bet on it.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's a real life one either (at least partially) given that they had scouts built as props.

Now Sony could also "cheap out" and just use the "The King" commercial and slapping an Horizon cover at the end, but for the Superbowl I'm hoping for an original one, possibly shot at the same time.

i see this stuff and i immediately want to throw my wallet at it but thankfully the art book isn't up in the US so i can save some money there, the poster is a bit too pricey, and the statue isnt available to purchase yet.

reminds me i still need to figure out if i'm buying digital or ordering through amazon. probably digital because the game should go active at like 11pm my time the day before...

Also more games need this kind of love. i'm a sucker for art books.

I will probably get the art book and strategy guide. The thunder jaw looks amazing too. Personally I was hoping to see a line of Lego products after seeing Kojima get his own tallneck lego set, I thought that might be a possibility.

Is the special edition of the art book only available through Forbiddenplanet.com?

Almost preordered it, but the shipping to EU is disgustingly high.

Not sure how it's even still available for preorder, if they're only making 300 copies.

Even if we do not know the game will be good or a 90% super hit, the art direction of HZD is superb and the artbook can not dissapoint. :)

One question remains, where is the Thunderjaw on projecttriforce.com? I can not find anything Horizon related on the page. :(

It wont be in stock until march.

When is the Thunderjaw statue going on sale? I don't want to miss out.

Will we have to wait till march and just keep refreshing the site?

A Super Bowl commercial? Really? You think so? Has Sony ever done that for a game? I remember them doing one for God of War Ascension but it was only aired on streaming websites, not on TV. I'd be shocked if they did an ad for this game!

Sigh

No themed controller it seems. That's the one thing I enjoy about Xbox marketing, they looooooove putting out a new controller color scheme

They've made one for The Order 1886 iirc

I've been considering getting the Collectors Edition. But I've never spent £105 on a game in my life. I think the most I've spent is £80. Well, £25 isn't that much more.
I'd also get that Thunderjaw statue too but I'm guessing that'll be around the £300 mark at least.

I am absolutely getting that artbook at some point. This is one of those games where the art is so cool that it justifies a purchase even if the game is bad.

And the game looks great!

They fortunately gave us high resolution promotional graphics that show us at least the unrolled part of the map in some detail:

Isn't the village Mother's Rise the place that was attacked by the corrupted machine from the gameplay demo? We should be able to point out what way Aloy took to get there for a better picture of the scope of the game world.

Quote from GG
"we really sized the world to achieve the density of content that is necessary for a great open world experience. And I admit that we started off in a world that was too big, that would be cumbersome to [navigate] and we wound of sizing it down a little bit,but it still huge!In this world you never feel like its a small world.if anything its the opposite, its a big game, yup could spend many hours playing it"
.

I can definitely see a Pro, & Slim Bundle Which would actually be amazing, but I'm getting that Thunderjaw, just so it can sit next to my CE of Alooy

NMS. Look what happened there.

This is just wrong. Sure it was brought up a lot at events but they thought they had a big indie hit regardless of how much we want to think they new about the end product of nms. The marketing push for horizon is definitely bigger outside gaming events.

I wonder how long this nms thing is going to be a thing cuz Jesus, it's like everybody's quick to bring it up but not why exactly that blew up

Yeah Sony barely did any marketing for it past PSX. It wasn't at E3 two months before launch and had little marketing up to launch. It was basically the hype from E3 2014 to PSX 2015 that carried it to its big day 1 sales.

Sony didn't even do much for NMS. There were little to no commercials, for example. It just blew up on the web.

Still, I am tired of it too. As if hyped games have never delivered.

1.) "lol, Guerrilla Games"
2.) "lol, No Man's Sky"
3.) "lol, scripted gameplay"

Future Press is doing the strategy guide? Fuck, gotta preorder that.

Yeah, they did all the excellent guides for Bloodborne and Dark Souls series this should be pretty good (they're handling The Last Guardian: An Extraordinary Story book too). DS3 guide is pretty poor in comparison and that was handled by Prima, was disappointed in the quality of that, happy FP are doing this.

BTW the The Art of Horizon Zero Dawn (Limited Edition Hardcover) has sold out for pre order at Forbidden Planet, unsurprising with only 300 copies worldwide.
