YES. For the most part previews are extremely positive.

This screenshot, too. :o

OH my!!!

Ugh. Fuck this stuff in games.

Does anyone ever like open world games that have quests with a timer attached. This is already making me dread what this game is going to turn out to be. Let's hope it has an interesting story and characters.
Umm yeah? quest like this showcase how completely you've grasped the controls and combat engine. I'm the type of gamer that starts most of my first play-throughs on hard, it's really fun being challenged.

Game is looking gorgeous, but I think I'm going to hold off for a little while and make sure people stay sold on it after launch. Don't want it to get stale after a few hours.

Man I thought this thread was going to shit the bed early on. But these previews have been great.

My biggest concern was tthe side quests and the world . They seem to have depth to them and there's a ton to do. Given the graphics and GGs first adventure into an open world game. I couldn't be happier with how this game is shaping up.

The good guys win again wooo

The big translucent fuel tank, bellows-chested flame thrower machine's another great looking design.

What's the new machine name?

Oh yeah I loved this enemy design, when I first saw the picture I wondered if the liquid in the tank actually moved around, and sure enough it does and it looks awesome.

they're called BellowBacks I think.

I really like that you can read detailed information of the robots, complete with their component. like a fire/fuel tank can be shot with normal arrow for you to get the item as loot for crafting etc, or you can shoot it with fire arrow and let it explode which give big damage to the robots. or shoot the robots radar so they can hide from them easily etc

Performance drops, standard PS4, at the tallneck, have seen it twice now. Too bad. Game overall seems pretty solid though.

IGN and Playstation Access video.

The voice acting here is...um..bad...just bad lol

Maybe the gameplay will save it.
1) You're 10 pages late, this clip has been discussed a lot, and annoyingly so as if it's represents the entire game
2) The voice acting is terrific in a bunch of other spots
3) Story is surprisingly a lot of the press who thought they had it figured out
4) Gameplay is excellent
5) Side-quest aren't representative of the main story quest
6) One snippet of bad dialog doesn't mean the whole game will be horrible, watch previews and judge for yourself

Horizon Zero Dawn Has Already Completely Won Us Over
Of course, combat is only part of the gameplay. During her journey, Aloy will have a chance to interact with members of her own tribe, and those from other lands—all of which feel like authentic cultures thanks to the developer's in depth six months of research per tribe. While many serve as merchants, there are other NPCs who will be affected by the way you decide to speak. Some conversations will offer you the option of responding with a loving, intelligent, or strong response. According to lead writer John Gonzalez, these decisions won't really have drastic results; rather, they enhance and further shape your experience as Aloy.

I already have. Seems kind of meh all around

The more footage I see the more I do believe it actually looks better than U4 :O

Is it stupid if I want to buy the game just for the visuals even though I'm skeptic about its overall quality?

I just want to traverse this amazing looking world.

But has it? To me it doesn't really look like it so far, but it probably looks nicer than any other large open world game I've seen.

This doesnt look as good as U4 to me, maybe better than TW3 but not U4 IMO.

But then again this is openworld tho.

So the opposite opinion of everyone who has played it. Cool.

Right. Sure. Go play games that people tell you are good-amazing simply because that's what you were hoping for. "Everyone that doesn't like it MUST be wrong because the impressions/reviews say otherwise!" Good luck with that lol

In combination with photomode you probably could have a Horizon Safari, should be worth it. :)

I love the fact that apparently you will want to alter your approach to each machine based on what materials you're looking to harvest. That's an extra layer of strategy I wasn't expecting from this game.

I'm not sure why people bother with this character.

Should be interesting to watch all of the die hard Sony guys flip flop from "sales and power 4 life! hahaha" to "you xbots talking sales and power. I'm playing games. Can your Xbox run Uncharted 4" So many fucking frauds lmao

Wait, have you played it? I mean, surely I would put more weight on the people who have played it than the people who haven't, right?

Oh wow. Okay then.

Huh from US gamer
. Finding hidden quests sometimes requires delving deeper into the dialogue tree, de Jonge says. "[T]he dialogue of the NPCs might change depending on what options you've chosen and if you've accepted a quest. But the main thing is that you have some control over how you would react in a certain situation, that it feels like you as a person has control over how Aloy should respond. So it's another form of attachment for the player."
