I want to explore these beautiful ruins:

This is easily one of the most beautiful games ever made. That is the same thing I said when it was revealed and it holds more true now.

Would I like this if I like infamous series??

I don't really think you can compare the two. They are open world games but traversal and weapons are completely different and those are the two main things you're going to be interacting with. If you like Assassins Creed, The Witcher 3 or Farcry then you're good to go.

Can't tell if it's a real question but it might, I don't think it shares many similarities.

Gravity Rush 2 though, you might like that one a lot! ;)

Doing the lord's work right here.

Horizon looks pretty great. I will certainly get it later when there's a lull between releases...if that ever happens....

Zelda and Mass Effect come out in the same timeframe but there hasnt been too many gameplay videos. Naturally there should be questions about that.

Horizon on the other hand has been very open with releasing a good amount of videos before release. So far everyone who has played the game has not nothing but positive things to say. Which leads me to wonder why so many people are so concerned about Horizon or trying to start "conversations"

Wait what? there has been a shit load of gameplay videos from Zelda

There's like 10-15 hours of Zelda gameplay footage available

I'm actually more impressed that they were able to have such complex animations and detailed machines even with such gorgeous visuals.

Ahhhhhhh, I love how smooth and quick the menu navigation is in this game. That was one of the few qualms I had with the Witcher 3. I'm so happy I won't have to suffer through that kind of laggy mess with Horizon.

God I want to explore this world so bad. The promise of sci-fi caves and ruins just waiting for me to find have me so excited.
One of the previews got to play one of the dungeons, and it was an ancient manufacturing factor with industrial machinery still active, operating in endless loops, that you could climb on to avoid the enemies below or outmaneuver them.

I think it is the most beautiful open world RPG ever made.

I remember some people didn't believe that the reveal gameplay was running on an actual PS4. And now after almost 2 years, the game not only looks better but also runs better than its reveal.

Crossing Eden

Hello, my name is Yves Guillemot, Vivendi S.A.'s Employee of the Month!
Note that they never mention best sales of a Far Cry game ever nor do they compare it to other Far Cry games, just that it was the best selling in February.
But they still noted that FC:p's sales straight up exceeded their expectations. To say that FC is in decline would be a gross exaggeration if not a straight up lie. They released a spinoff title. FC4 did incredibly well.

Killzone 2 was set up to be the Halo killer, it failed.

This is actually false, I used to help run/administrate KillzoneGame.com, the largest Killzone fansite on the web and the only one at the time officially affiliated with Guerrilla Games. My colleague at the time Iceman (also an admin), visited Guerilla in Amsterdam to play Killzone before release in Oct 2004 (http://www.ign.com/boards/threads/killzonegame-com-review.70492010/). And as that link says we didn't review the games as that wasn't our job as a fansite.

At the time of Killzone's first reveal on PS2, a media outlet touted the term "Halo Killer" in a printed mag, though neither Guerilla, us or Sony ever used this term... it stuck though in some form and tainted the franchise when comparisons where made even though Halo & Killzone were never alike as franchises except being FPS's.

Sadly our site had to shut down due to only two of us running it, with 1000's of followers, our workload went overboard when Iceman had to leave and it was just me in charge. Still have the Media and asset disk of PS2 Killzone laying about somewhere...

Yeah forgot this, sony nor GG ever pushed KZ as a Halo Killer, it was the media.....really has nothing to do with anything regardless.

I like assassins creed. How much of an RPG is this? Is it more action-y? I'm into games like tomb raider, mad max, the last of us, the last guardian, infamous, ratchet and clank, uncharted.

I couldn't get into skyrim, or witcher of far cry games.

Far Cry: Primal was a 50 dollar game not a 15 dollar game like Blood Dragon. Not a full fledged Far Cry game sure, but it wasn't a mere spin-off. And you will never find Ubisoft actually bragging about its sales in actual numbers.

Compare that with this:

https://www.pcgamesn.com/far-cry-4/ubisoft-s-sold-7-million-copies-of-far-cry-4
This was said by Ubisoft just 3 months after Far Cry 4 released, almost a year after Primal and we haven't heard anything.

You can also compare the steamspy numbers. Far Cry Primal has a third of the owners that 4 has even after Primal was actually discounted during the winter sale.

The sequel to Far Cry 4 is in a decline sales-wise compared to the previous game. That's a fact. Now you could say that that is because it is Primal and not 5 but that remains to be seen when 5 finally gets announced.

Yeah sorry, for going off topic, just when people say that I feel a need to correct.

Anyway the stream was pretty great, though one of the guys mics was waaay too loud. Horizon:ZD looks fantastic and GAME dropped the price on the LE steelbook so did a quick cancel and re-order. That photomode is glorious too, though it seems a lot of the options are toggle (like aperture or vignette size).

This is a tough one because we are not entirely sure how the game it'll end up beign. I think the combat is quite unique despite what some people say, there's a lot of focus on action and agility (at least in impressions), it might feel closer to the action games you like. Now, it does shares some thing from games like The Witcher since it features a lenghty storyline and dialogues. If you're not into dialogues at all... well, that might be a con for you, but I'm pretty confident that you'll dig the action and combat overall.

Personally I don't like Assassin's Creed and Far Cry games but I'm really into Horizon or what I'm seeing of it.

Yo, seriously, stuff like this is why I'm excited to explore this world

Also I love how dense that forest looks

Yeah these scattered remanents of the old one's have me excited to explore the world of Horizon as well.

Exploring the forest during dusk will be a sight to behold.

Where is the Zelda in this game? Have they showed dungeons and different ways of using your tools in solving puzzles?

It has large dungeons (cauldrons) with puzzle solving, platforming, and intense fights. The media wasn't allowed to share footage of them, but the few that reached these dungeons have briefly talked about them.
