Are we gonna raise a stink every time a season pass is mentioned or just the Nintendo ones guys? if you don't feel the DLC is worth the value just don't buy it.
Not every dlc has a difficulty mode locked behind a pay wall.

Ah to be honest buying the stuff is not what I meant, what I were talking about is that GAF usually don't get outraged for every announced season's pass even those who cost a lot more and offer almost nothing, batman arkham knight is a good example of just that.

Because not that many people care about batman additional content as much as zelda? Batman AK season pass was criticized to hell and back here. The numbe

And the point I was making us that while I don't make noise in other threads, my disappointment here is entirely consistent with my typical reaction to season passes. The reason this thread is so long is that it's Zelda and many of us love this franchise and have been waiting for this specific game for almost 4 years now. Not any specific nintendo hatred or hypocrisy.

Of course those of us who hate season passes would speak up now.

1/3 of it is already in the game when you Pre order it unlocks it.

You lack anything to validate this claim, it'd be disappointing if this were actually the case, but your reasoning is premised on cynicism.

(I do think the Day 1 DLC is probably locked in the game itself)

I dont. But if it's as big as a regular Zelda dungeon bit... that's rather small. Yes, I have the freedom to not buy it. Can't I express my disappointement ? Or should these threads should only be "if you don't like, dont talk, lets us rejoice between us" ?
Did you played a BOTW dungeon???

People are already shelling out $300 for the system, another $20-$30 for online play, extra peripherals, and $60 for Zelda.

I couldn't help but find this argument hilarious. Why not count the TV, house and electricity used to play it if you're going to count the console, the online subscription (for a sp-only game) and the highly optional peripherals?

Oh so now we're just making shit up, are we?

Immediately upon pre-purchase or purchase of the Expansion Pass, three new Treasure Chests will appear in the game’s Great Plateau area. One of these Treasure Chests will contain a shirt with a Nintendo Switch logo which Link can wear during his adventure, exclusive to the Expansion Pass.

How is this made up?

Damn that one little thing that would have made it worth it

Just imagine

But it looks like a Switch instead.

Pack 1 looks rubbish.

If Pack 2's Hard Mode is just a Hero mode from previous Zeldas, it should've been part of the main game already. Same might go for the additional map feature, but that depends on what it will do exactly.

Pack 3 has potential to be good. The story and dungeon better be really good to justify the $20.

I really wish these could be purchased individually. I'll definitely wait until all three packs have been released before purchasing and then read opinions on if its worth the price or not.

What you consider to be "Pack 2" already confuses me a bit, as I can't see it being the same "hero mode" from past games. Doesn't that mode usually remove your ability to find hearts? Haven't they confirmed that the only way to heal yourself in the main game is to rest or cook?

Nobody is surprised anymore when Warner Bros are doing the latest get rich quick rip off season pass that isn't worth a fraction of the asking price.

We still thought Nintendo better than that, hence the backlash.

Nintendo missed an opportunity here to make this DLC free for everyone who has given them blind support and paying £350 for a Switch and Zelda on day 1. Would sweeten the deal.

I'm talking about the bonus/Pack 1 and 2. Not overall content.

You said 1/3rd of the DLC.

I highly doubt 3 treasure chests accounts for 1/3rd of the total DLC content. It's a bonus for buying the season pass, every game with a season pass does the same fucking thing. Your experience won't be ruined if you wait to buy the pass until the DLC is actually out.

Just realized. If the content is the same between both versions, even Wii U owners will be getting a Switch shirt? I guess that's one way of telling people to move on.

I can live with the free DLC of playing it way before everyone else.

This is amazing. Nintendo finally figured out how to take advantage of their fans. They buy anything Nintendo.

The Kimishima Money-Making Machine is up and running. This regime is all about the cash-- and he knows that Nintendo fans are eager to give their money to the company. Paid online play? Check. Paying for harder difficulty? Check.

I can't blame Kimishima here. He's tasked with refilling Nintendo's coffers, and he is unafraid to pursue any and all avenues to do so.

Handing over money to something you don't know will be good or not is...bad. Zero people should do this, a ton will.

£18 isn't bad at all, I'm expecting a decent chunk of content in December seeing as the game's been nearly finished for a while along with Nintendo's track record for DLC. Locking the hard mode behind it though is just bullshit, can't defend Nintendo on that one at all.

Come on, no "Thor 2: The Dark World" related option? This is Zelda we're talking about, there's a literal Dark World in one of the games. :p

Because it's not even close to 1/3 of what the pass is offering. Hence: Bonus.

I could've worded it better but I just meant out of the 3 releases 1 of them is already in the game...

DLC for a non-breakable Master Sword
[/Trolltendo]

Let me cry if it's true. The worst is that I could still imagine a special amulet only available inside one of those DLC treasure chests which would make the breakable items last longer of forever.

Probably won't get it right at launch, but when the first pack comes out. I think there's two problems: it's way too vague in what they included (like what exactly is hard mode?) and they announced it before the game came out.

It's kind of funny, they probably would get a better reaction if they took stuff out (like hard mode).

Not saying you can't express whatever you want, just pointing out that you already formed conclusions on a DLC that's not even finished. I'm just disagreeing with a proper reason.
