Is there any better way to floor a Stalnox (or Hinox? haven't fought one yet) without
wasting a stack of arrows shooting it in the eye?

Or is the answer just 'get better weapons so you don't have to
make him drop to the ground as much
'?

If you have stasis upgraded you can freeze enemies for like 2 seconds. If he ever lowers his head enough to the ground, freeze him and attack the weak spot with your melee weapon

'bout to throw my Wii U out the window.
Oh fuck dude, lol. That sucks!

Does it take that many arrows? It only took a few arrows for me to make him
pop out his eye so I can start wacking on it.

Got the Master Sword and ganon still owns me lok i want to beat the shit out of him before doing any dungeon wanna seee what happens:P

Definitely agree, it's funny too because the difficulty of the bosses in the dungeons does not match this at all.

Zora had the easiest boss, then goron, then Gerudo, then Rito being the trickiest boss

really?
the one i struggled with most was the Zora boss, cause I didn't understand the mechanics. Rito was the boss I had by far the easiest time with

I can kill most hinox with just a 13 damage spear and a few arrows. Get a bow that fires 3 arrows at once btw, the damage output is huge on a hinox. Also the multi shot bows only consume 1 arrow per shot they're the best.

My lynel bow is a 5 shot burst that does like 28 per arrow, it's a god slayer

I feel like I may be entering some of these shrines too quickly.

Found a shrine with those orange glowing balls in water...spent like 20 minutes throwing bombs in the water to shoot the balls into the air to get one into the basket. That worked, then it opened a gate to the second room with the same set up, only this time there's an orange glowing button or something on the bottom of the water and now the basket has a metal gate on the top. I'm guessing there's an outfit for link to dive in water? Because as of now I can't do that.

I haven't found a shrine yet that I haven't been able to immediately complete. The one in particular that you're talking about -- you can complete it with all the tools you have available to you right now.

Specifically,

Use the magnesis power to scoop the balls up with the bowl.

Im most definitely losing more than I gain unless these random low tier scrubs start dropping the shit they're dropping for you. Because I snuck into a dangerous area and came out with like a royal claymore, royal spear, royal sword and already had like two giant elemental swords.

I've done quite a bit of shrines too. Maybe I need to do a bit more before they drop shit that's worth it for me

I always keep 1 or 2 lesser weapons for encounters like that. But often these low level encounters include a treasure chest with some good shields or weapons that make it worth it.

Everything requires bloody arrows in this game. I always get "special" arrows given to me when I need them, like when
assaulting a Divine Beast (special mention to having to gather shock arrows myself, fuck you Vah Ruta quest)
, so the game could at least be polite and give you a stock of them at the start of shrines/dungeons.
When I'm out of arrows, I use a boomerang or one of my swords as a projectile.

And bombs can be thrown as well. Or use magnnesis to pick up a chest to toss as a projectile.

Open your eyes to the possibilities!

Where is the NPC that buys raw prime meat? I know he's at a stable, but I haven't found him.

Also, what's with the two girls who are collecting truffles? I've found them in a couple different places and rescued them from bokoblins, but they never give me a reward or anything. I feel bad just leaving them there, but they are ALWAYS unconscious...

So if I finished the
Zora dungeon, should I head out to the bird dungeon if I'm looking for a natural progression?

really?
the one i struggled with most was the Zora boss, cause I didn't understand the mechanics. Rito was the boss I had by far the easiest time with

Yeah lol, I went into that fight completely unprepared and only lost half my HP, the goron fight I stuggled with figuring out it's counter until I remembered physics were in this game, the bird and desert bosses were just long. The rito boss in particular felt like I had such a small window to do damage

How durable are the
ancient weapons
that you get from Robbie's
robot?

I'd be super pissed if I
craft the ancient bow
and that shit breaks after a half hour

Is there any way to know how much HP one heart represents?

I'm thinking maybe if you know the attack power of a particular weapon minus the Link's armor defense stat perhaps you can extrapolate.

Since we have a way to see enemy HP represented numerically it would be interesting to know Link's.

After beating the Death Mountain boss, one thing absolutely amazed me - the friendly AI. (slight spoilers)

The Macklemore Goron dude was responsive and intelligent. Super refreshing. Granted, it wasn't too taxing for the guy, but I was still impressed.

For everyone complaining, I personally fund the sparse use of music very effective. It helps capture the essence of the desolation and the expanses of wilderness.

I love how they do music in the game. it's just you and your surroundings but then you'll hear a faint melody in the distance and then as you get closer it gets louder and you realize you're approaching a town or stable or something. I love being out and about, fending for myself, and then coming upon a horse stable and hearing that music. it's refreshing and now that musical cue instantly allows me to relax and let my guard down. I love it.

Found
Zora's Domain
last night. Starting the
quest to take down the beast
. I need to get the
20 shock arrows but this Lynel fucker keeps kicking my ass. I think I can sneak around him and get what I need but I feel like I should fight him. I'm not too far into the game and this would be my first dungeon
. I have 4 hearts and
Zora's armor
. I assume I'm just not ready for this battle yet? Maybe I need to find better weapons? I love the freedom on offer here, I just wish I knew more about what to equip myself with and when.
I had no idea what to expect from the fight but quickly realized I'm clearly not equipped correctly
. I have some random shit in my inventory from exploring but nothing amazing yet.

Not worth the fight yet. You can easily avoid him and look around the trees and rocks for spare shock arrows. Only need 20. If you are deadset on fighting him you pretty much need to have a lot of food, be expert at dodging, have a ton of weapons as they will all break. I would say avoid for now. Also FYI, remember to take his picture with your camera...

I get them frequently and when I get one I usually get another one (or another two) in short order.

A typical evening playing I'll get as many as a dozen bloodmoons. They're so relentless and do disruptive that I'd take a point off my score were I reviewing it.

Pretty sure that's a glitch. I've been playing the game for around 40 hours and have gotten six Blood Moons, period.

Doing the
blue fire
quest for
robbie.

Rained halfway through so I found a shelter and started a fire so I can rest through it. Took multiple rests to finally get a session with no rain.

Almost reached
robbie's furnace with the blue flame
and it rained again.

FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU *incoherent angry noises*
Yeah that part really tested my patience even without rain. I could figure out where the
furnace
was

This is exactly what I do, unless it is absolutely necessary I do not engage in battles on the overworld. Which sucks because that is where the majority of materials to upgrade stuff comes from. It is a shame, if only Nintendo tweaked the durability values just slightly so they are a bit more durable, I would not have as much of an issue as I do with it.

I don't see why. I always keep one or two mediocre weapons and I replace them when I kill weaker enemies.

This has made it where now I have a bunch of strong weapons in my arsenal and if I see a bunch of enemies they're so dtf (down to fight) but I just nope the hell out and run past them. Unless it's for a side quest or mission I am not fighting fuckers and risk breaking my weapons.

So now all of those cool encounters in the overworld I'm running past because id lose more than I gain

Nah. If you kill enough enemies they will "level up" and you will get strong weapo s from them. Right now I have too many weapons. I had to buy the house with 3 weapons slot and upgrade my bag and im still running out of space.

At this point I whish they broke more often. Feels bad to throw a weapon when you havent used it that much.

I think he's at a stable just west of
central hyrule if I recall correctly

for the bird, I used arrows and bombs while it was retreating then thought it was super forgiving when it got close. You could do a ton of damage to it. I suppose there was more down time but that was definitely what I thought was the easiest.

Did the Constellation puzzle last night.

When I finally got it, I felt like a million bucks. The feeling of the gears in your head cranking through it and eventually clicking is the best feeling ever. The AHA! moments in this game are the absolute best.

I found out that none of the dungeon bosses were challenging except for
the lightning guy, the dungeon puzzle was also the most complex of 4 but it was still rather simple.

Then again I used the master sword for all of them except
the water guy
. Although I do have weapons nearly as powerful as that sword.

Quick tip for those having problem with Octorocks in Death Mountain:
When they suck in air before spitting a boulder, throw a bomb at them. They´ll swallow it so you can detonate it and kill them.

This may have been evident for most of you but it blew my mind when I tried it yesterday and it actually worked. I just saw one preparing it´s attack and got a sudden Dodongo King flashback :D

Did all bosses except my first in vah ruta in one try including Ganon. Died more many more times to mobs like moblins firing fire arrows in the Death mountain area. Fuck those mobs :p
