So how bad is the Switch stock situation?

I wonder when the next shipments are going to be.

Anyone have any idea?

I called a few targets in my area and they said it'll take about 2 weeks

So Amazon has charged me, but the Switch still hasn't shipped :,(

Now my Best Buy has an automated message when you call that basically says"We don't know when we'll have the Switch, please don't ask us about it."

Awesome. Just awesome.

Mine has that to.

I've had the two closest Targets to me say that they really don't know until trucks arrive per store, and Nintendo drop ships straight to individual stores. So the best bet is to get there at opening on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Holy crap i dont think target is expecting accessory restocks any time soon.

The one by my job filled the area with ps3 and xbone accessories including changing the shelf labels.

Edit - stopped by gamestop too. Still have a few pairs of grey joycons. Nothing else at all. Guy said the hybrid cover shows as "in transit" so they should arrive tomorrow or early next week (this is first shipment not a restock)

Ordered a neon from Amazon.es so after I buy a US ac adapter (Those fitted euro converters seem too fiddly and house fire'y) all in all I spent 32$ more than US retail in my area.. not too bad I guess. Just hope nothing goes wrong with the console, that would suck ass having to ship this thing out of country.

those converters won't start any fires :P. Anyone who travels abroad relies on those, myself included and they're 100% safe. If you buy one, you'll now have two AC adapters which is very beneficial.

FYI, I've talked in person to ToyRUs, Target, and Walmart employees between yesterday and today and they've all said they have no idea when more stock is coming and hinted at some frustration with Nintendo. 4/5 of them said they haven't received any actual new stock since launch. This is all anecdotal of course, and you can't place 100% trust in employee info, but at the moment the picture doesn't look that rosy for stock availability anytime soon in my area (UT).

Edit: The only one who said they had received stock since launch was 1 ToyRUs who received a very small shipment on Sunday.
Edit2: I've also noticed that scalper prices are increasing locally, which is a likely indicator that supply is not increasing

Toms River, NJ here. Called every possible store within 40 miles or so. No Switches to be found, and no idea when more might be coming in. Best Buy now has an automated message saying they can't answer questions about Switch availability over the phone.

Briefly contemplated ordering from overseas, as it seems there's some availability from Amazon that way, but hardware support would be a giant headache if anything went wrong.

Zelda will continue to sit on my coffee table, teasing me.

Been to a couple Walmarts that had 5-6 consoles into stock all of them grey. Still haven't found any pro controllers anywhere.

Had a look today when I was at my local shopping centre. Couldn't find any outside of CEX overcharging for second hand ones (£350). Surprised to be honest, not as if it's a small shopping centre either, largest in the UK.

Keep checking here in case an online retailer has some to sell.

I had a neon in my cart on Target this past Monday and decided against it!

Did anyone who managed to order one (Target online had some for sale for about 15 minutes) get theirs shipped?

If you're in central VA, check out Regency area stores. I've also heard reports around Short Pump and Chesterfield apparently someone posted has some now.

If you can wait a few days, I bet many stores will get restocked this weekend as launch rush demand subsides.

So glad I have Horizon to keep me busy right now, otherwise I might have already caved to the Zelda temptation. I think once I wrap up that game I'm hoping there'll be Switches readily available in-store.

Brickseek said the target had 2 of them here in albuquerque and there were 4 of them. Picked up a neon :D

what UPC or DCPI are you using when searching for Target?

whenever I search using the UPC from the WalMart search, Target search says "Sorry, this item is not available to search at this time.."

also, just out of curiosity, did you happen to check Target.com at the store you found yours at? Did it say "Out of Stock" or "Limited Stock"?

Limited stock and used 207-29-1001

Yikes just went to order a second Switch and Amazon UK won't have stock until the 31st March. I didn't realise we were having stock issues in the UK as well.

weird... whenever I put in that DPCI and use Albuquerque, NM zip code, it still tells me "Sorry, this item is not available to search at this time."

I guess whatever... doubtful any Targets have them in my area (website says Out of Stock for any Target that is close to me).

Been rumblings a new wave of inventory is supposed to go out on the 11th. No idea if it will surface. I do wonder what Nintendo is up to they should have another million units or so at the ready

Does everyone think they will sell out of the next 1 million shipments, or do you guys think the Switch is nearing saturation?

There is obviously unmet demand, but it doesn't seem out of control by any means. Definitely not Wii level or anything close to it. The next big shipment will mostly alleviate the stock issues, I would think.

Seems like they have another Wii on their hands to me.

I know in the Netherlands the second official shipment is somewhere at the end of March, the third shipment was somewhere mid April, both of these have their preorders filled at one store I'm looking at. They're now taking preorders for the fourth shipment, slated to release on May 12!

This is a national games store though, not a big electronics store like Amazon or MediaMarkt, who I think will get some more intermediate shipments or are able to reshuffle allotments.

I hope. I just wish we had SOME idea when this mythical shipment will arrive.
