It is, though. That is the confusing part. It meets all of the requirements it is telling me to. Is it purely because this is a USB Hub also? I don't get it... really wish Sony would just respond to me.
And yet people calling this abomination (control wise) of a game best since sliced bread, how can that be? cause i tired 10x times to play it and its just impossible unless you are masochist and enjoy being tortured...
Yeah it really is horrendous. No idea what they were thinkingI'm curious who at Sony thought that the new notification system will be better. It's godawful.
People still use notifications?

Here you go.Looking forward to seeing a list of legacy games that are improved and which are not.

I'd to confirm again. Can an external HDD be used from one PS4 to another? I mean is it plug and play?
Jesus, is this update really that big of a thing? My PS4 hasn't been able to connect to PSN since at least yesterday night. This is the first significant 'PSN is down' situation for me in years.
Yes, assuming the next machine also has the account that the games are linked to.
Boost Mode is fairly underwhelming. Don't get me wrong -- it's nice that it tends to improve lots of games by providing more of constant 30fps where there were dips before.
On the other hand I thought you'd get more games jumping to 40-60fps but that's really not happening. I should have known since it's just increasing the CPU and GPU clock to full speed and not doing much of anything else with the CU's etc
It's a nice feature and I'm glad it's there, but if I didn't have a Pro, knowing what I know now I would not be running out to buy one because of this.
I was surprised at the notifications section too. but it makes sense...
you wanna be notified at loads of things at once. i hated scrolling down to downloads.
Really they shoulda just had an option to have it both ways.
I understood your feeling but some game like Lord of Fallen, Sleeping Dog and AC Unity have impressive boost in their performances. I'd like to see some of more impressive improvement on JC 3 (though it's still noticeable) or The Evil Within , but terrible port hardly can be magically fixed with this, without a dedicate patch. The only exception it's just Unity for now.Boost Mode is fairly underwhelming. I only really look at downloads in the notification area so it's not too bad for me (I wouldn't mind being able to set it to boot right into the download list) but in terms of functionality and design, they definitely made it worse for the general user.
How about a good 128gb usb 3.0 sticks as a secondary drive?
I'm a one game at the time type of gamer and I mainly play exclusives on the pro so having only one-two games installed at the time isn't a huge deal to me, but I'd like to have improved loading times.
Would something like this be a worthwhile addition?
Minimum required is 250 Gb, 8 TB maximum.

I'm really pleased that we can set wallpaper backgrounds without buying themes now! Been waiting for that since the day I bought my PS4 can't believe how long it has taken.
Just spent an age taking photos in Uncharted 4 in 4K to set as wallpaper, looks amazing.
Can someone recommend a good one from the following.
Keep in mind I dont really know much about HDD's.
Some other 2TB HDD's
Seagate Expansion 2TB Portable Hard Drive

I just want it to perform well, be compatible with the ps4 and be reliable.
The cheapest 2TB i could find is $99 (AU)
Toshiba 2TB Canvio USB3.0 Portable Hard Drive
The cheapest 3TB is $139
Toshiba Canvio Ready 3TB Portable Hard Drive Black
Some other 2TB HDD's
Seagate Expansion 2TB Portable Hard Drive
WD Elements 2TB Portable Hard Drive
WD My Passport Ultra 2TB Portable Hard Drive (Blue)
Also does it make a difference whether its got a power unit or not?
That would probably have to come on PS5 if they can clock the GPU that high by then.Boost Mode is fairly underwhelming. Don't get me wrong -- it's nice that it tends to improve lots of games by providing more of constant 30fps where there were dips before.

Oh...
that's weird.
So even a 240gb sandisk ssd (80) + an adapter wouldn't work?

So are also External SSD compatible? :O
Is there a real advantage on loading times?
I might consider to buy one!
Can you install games directly to the external drive?
