You know, this is the second time I've seen Neil stan for this guy, also after that infamous "shake hands with fascists" video

Not sure if I like this trend from Neil. He makes really good, progressively-themed games, but I hope he's just being nice because Colin is a reviewer
He's being nice because that's what rational human beings tend to be. I know that's a new and strange thing to some people, and to those, I say -you shod try that.

friendly reminder that totalbiscuit was a gamergater, that again tried to backpedal when it got mainstream attention.

disgusting

but you come here on GAF to tell things that other people may not agree with.

My point is that you can't expect everyone to think like you.
my point is that i have never argued that anyone has less inherent worth because of their genetics.

if someone said "kill all jews!" and someone else said "i hate vanilla ice cream", would you find those statements comparable?

All these people saying oh now I'm back to subscribing, oh it's better that he is gone. Please explain this one cause without him, Kinda Funny is quite boring.

All of this is irrespective of the current events of the past few weeks.

Getting to their actual content they do have a hole to fill.

Nick is great for regular Kind of Funny, but he doesn't bring anything for KoF Games. Tim is sorta their Nintendo guy, but he lacks the breath of knowledge.

So there is a hole there to find someone opposite Greg to fill.

Colin will be easier to replace on the GameOverGreggy show. Plus the daily show has gone to a rotating duo already.

There definitely is a content hole to fill and they need to find someone who's big enough to push back on different opinions especially on the games side so as not to have Greg's opinion be defacto.

They've needed a change up for a while as I stated earlier in this thread though. 18 months or so ago Colin was going through depression (I've clinically been there) and he wasn't playing much. Plus on multiple occasions said he wasn't imagining himself doing KoF years down the road. Felt like he checked out long ago in terms of the business and having fun.

I do understand the trio of Tim, Nick, and Greg doesn't inspire long term confidence for the gaming side of KoF. Feels like regular pop culture KoF will be easier to ride out.

You checked who he follows on twitter? Lmao. People really have nothing better to do than to talk shit about everything on the Internet.

This thread makes me sad. Who cares if you didn't like Kinda Funny? Why are you here? For fans of Kinda Funny this is a big blow. The channel will probably undergo massive changes because of this and all you guys wanna do is talk shit and say good riddance.

Disgusting.

must be nice to be able to ignore the injustices of the world just because they don't affect you.

who gives a fuck about your podcast losing it's edgelord when this person is just using his platform to spout harmful, sexist shit? get your priorities in check.

TB.. you fucking better not be on Colin's side here. I can't even comprehend how the mental gymnastics would have to function to make sense of TB's current position fitting in with Colin's political framework.
TB is already cringeworthy to me so this is just solidifying my dislike of him if so.

no worries, you were already on mine.
Clearly untrue as you wouldn't have seen my post, but whatever.

I'm not saying to boycott his games but being friends with someone like Colin is enough to earn you some serious side eye.
Colin is friends with some of the nicest guys in the industry. Either they all like hanging around with an asshole, or he's not the demon you guys have made him out to be. I wonder which one is true.

Lol, how so? Is Gaf not consuming anything that he does now cause he tweeted Colin?
Yeah, I mean, to each their own, but if I got rid of every friend that I disagreed with from time to time, I'd have...exactly 0 friends.

This isn't binary, you can believe in a progressive platform and still be friends with those that think differently.

your statements aren't about ice cream. stop acting like you are talking to a 10 year old. people 👏 have 👏 different 👏 opinions

As of right now. Colin has done enough damage to himself. It'll be interesting to see where he goes from here.

Like I said. Based on some of the shit he's said in the past. The writings kinda on the wall. I would hope he doesn't go THAT route.

Neil is obviously a fascist, alt-right lunatic, and a Nazi lover. You've totally found him out!!!

Show being entertaining or continuing to give a platform to a guy spouting a bunch of sexist nonsense

Gee I just dont know where to lean on this one in terms of prioritizing here......

Jared Petty's writeup about being friends with Colin touches on this sort of thing.

Bittersweet because despite disagreeing with some of his politics, I think he is great with the whole Kinda Funny gang. I hope he's successful wherever he goes.

Not like this TotalBiscuit...most people overlooked your pre-GG antics.

Probably for a co optional.

Would like to remind that when it mattered, TB was still pro hillary (as in voted for her) and actually had a huge argument with his wife about it (who didn't vote at all). He said some shitty stuff during GG but I think it's a bit reductionist to equate him to only that

What a bummer. Absolutely couldn't agree with him on some things especially regarding politics, but respected him and nonetheless. His perspectives and knowledge of the industry added a lot of character to the show and it's not gonna be the same without him. Was really looking forward to the next Colin Was Right too.

Opinions shouldn't be scary, if you don't agree with someone just say it, but let people say what they want.

Don't move the goalposts. The hell did "let people say what they want to say" come from? Was I talking about censorship?

"Opinions shouldn't be scary"--wut. Opinions can be terrifying. Do I really need to list some examples off?

Ahhh, daily reminder of how awesome Jared Petty is. What a human.

Exactly though, that write-up sums it up perfectly:

"Our differences have proven powerful in making us better friends. I don't agree with Colin a lot of the time, but I know something about him that those who know him less well might not understand: he legitimately wants for things to turn out well for lots of people, including those who have very different ideas than himself. That's one of the many reasons I love him."
